*sigh*

Those of us who believe, "it ain't VH without Dave," are SOL again.

I suppose it would help if Dave weren't such a flaming asshole of an egomaniac, but to me it's still all about the loss of my first favorite band when I was a kid.

Maybe there's still hope of DLR getting the "Eat'em and Smile" band back together. And maybe I'll see a flying pig on my way to lunch.

Hell, I love Sammy Hagar, I will go see him in concert no matter who is playing in his band!

Thank you for your irrelevant opinion.

I'm a Van Hagar fan too.
I think he was way better than Roth. I hate their old music, with the exception of Dance the Night Away.
I love keyboards, though. Maybe that explains it!

Actually, after seeing the ticket prices (88 and 55 bucks) the Van Halen brothers can suck my balls! No way they are worth that much. Hell, even PRINCE isnt costing me that much!

That's a relative bargain compared to what Aerosmith and Kiss were charging for their tour last year (and no, I didn't bother). Not only were they charging over $100 for any decent seat at most shows, KISS was selling fans on special seat packages (some with backstage access, granted) ranging between $250 and $1000.

I paid $45 each for front row to KISS a couple years ago on their "farewell tour" (which I suppose was accurate since that was the original four, not the Tommy Thayer version of last year, or the Tommy Thayer/Eric Singer version of this year).

Event ticket pricing has always been based on the "how much can we get away with charging" philosophy. And I think the culprit recently has been the success of those "classic rock" bands that are touring arenas, sheds, state fairs, casinos, zoo amphitheaters, and any other house that will take them. You've got Journey touring with a Steve Perry soundalike selling very well the past two summers. You've got Tommy Shaw and James Young touring a Styx-branded product that doesn't even play the Dennis DeYoung hits and they're doing fine.

If they can sell people at $30-$40, Van Hagar should do quite fine at $55-$88.

Van Halen will do just fine with thier ticket prices, I just wont be one of the people buying one. KISS and Aerosmith can get away with it, because, they can sell $50 tickets on thier own, so BOTH bands are theoretically worth a hundred bucks.

I'll be shelling out some cash for VH tickets. I've been waiting 8 years for this to happen ...

I bought a fine bottle of Sammy's tequila down in Cabo-that is some good stuff!

Hopefully they are back to singing about sex and girls, and not trying "thinking" songs. Give me POUNDCAKE!

They aren't totally legal, but a lot of them are actually encouraged by the labels.
