Now that WWE is going back to a more psychology-based style, managers should be brought into the fold. These days, if a wrestler is accompanied, it's by another wrestler or a woman. Don't get me wrong, I love Trish Stratus, but she looks lost as a manager.

Managers can do a few things.

1) They can draw even more heat for their guy.

2) They can cut promos for guys who aren't good at it.

3) They're fun to watch get beat up.

Some good examples are Slick, Jimmy Hart, and Sensational Sherry. The best example was Bobby Heenan. He could cut promos, had a sharp mind, had a natural ability to make people hate him (maybe it was the blonde hair), and he could take bumps.

Anyway, bring the managers back!

I'd love to see more managers too. It's a good role for older guys that can't wrestle anymore but can still talk (such as Harley Race with Vader). Flair would be a great one & it would be a good role for Savage to come back in. Put him with some young badass & let him talk some of his psycho-babble to build the guy up & get physically involved on occasion. I miss the old days of managers, especially Hennan, the old Jimmy Hart, Sherri,JJ DIllon, etc.

Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.

Currently, we have Teddy Long, Trish Stratus, Chavo Sr., Miss Jackie, and Paul Bearer, and Paul Heyman is supposed to be coming back as a manager.

WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?

I would not class Trish as a manager again. If not, as NHS said on here we may see T&A back forming. Please let it happen I loved that team, if not so keen on Trish.

We do need more [wo]managers in the WWE. We need the Teddy Harts, the Sunnys (even current Sunny - I love[d] her) and the Heenans again. Teddy Long is a class act as manager but we need more. Heyman could be good if used right and used as a manager. Bearer is only good for one guy. Then there be Stacy, Jackie Gayda and maybe Borrie, Yawn and Stable too - and they could help upcommers on Smackdown. Flair is kind a a manager is he not.

Trish is more of a character herself than just a manager. Bearer as well, he's very unimportant at this point, and adds nothing to the WWE except nostalgia by being by Taker's side.

I think a manager like Heenan, who had his own stable of wrestlers and HE was the leader would work pretty well nowadays. Long sort of had that going, but it ended due to injuries. Heyman could definately be the guy who brings that mentality back in full force. Heyman + RVD + Dudleys would be a good start for a heel stable who could mix it up at or near the top of the card.

David Spade teaches us an Important Lesson:

Joe Dirt: So you're gonna tell me that you don't have no black cats, no roman candles, or screaming mimis?
Kicking Wing: No.
Joe Dirt: Oh come on man. You got no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippity do das, or crap flappers?
Kicking Wing: No, I don't.
Joe Dirt: Yer gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?
Kicking Wing: No... because snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like.
Joe Dirt: Well that might be your problem, it's not what you like, it's the consumer.

I would like to see a faction kind of like the Heenan Family, where one manager is the manager for 1-2 tag teams and 2-3 single competitors. They should have Jerry the King Lawler form a faction called the "Kings Court" that would be cool. He really gets under peoples skin as a heel. Well at least I think so.

I'd rather see Heyman back on commentary than as a manager- some of his stuff from 2001 was hilarious. I nearly wet myself when he claimed The Rock was using closed fists whilst laying the smackdown. And lets not forget the J.R imitations. Still, I think ECW could be either good or bad, I'll wait and see.

You made some good points and brought up the reasons why WWE doesnīt have too many managers anymore by yourself:

1) Nowadays the heat is drawn by evil bosses, GMs and their stooges!

2) And those are the ones to cut the heelish promos and take the tv time without (!) getting somebody else over.

3) And therefore the faces have the privilege to beat them up if they feel like "doing things the hard way"!

You see: There was no need for typical managers anymore!

But, with all the Mc Mahons gone from tv, now could definetly be a good time to bring them back!

Sadly Booker T and Teddy Long will not be forming an awesome unit of black people. According to Dave, Long is going to manage Mark Jindrak in blackface. OK, not in blackface, just Mark Jindrak. But this should give everyone a gigantic manager boner: Heyman is going to be the big heel manager on Smackdown, managing various heels in a constant effort to thwart Eddie and Cena. What could be better, tag teams with matching tights??

If Teddy's gonna manage ANYONE in blackface, it should be the Basham Brothers...

But seriously, I'll withinhold judgment, waiting on the first appearance before castigating WWE for using Jindrak in that capacity. (But I'm ready...)

Just curious, but what's the status of Shaniqua? Is she down in OVW to learn how to wrestle? Are they gonna fire her yet? I doubt they'll do that since it would mean having to admit that she wasn't the best choice to win Tough Enough. Either way, she was a manager, was she not?

I thought she was a highly effective manager, more so than Jackie, whose nipples get more positive reaction han she does.

But yes, the plan is to re-debut Shaniqua under the RAW banner. I think it'd be a good idea to put her with Scott Steiner myself...

OVW currently has Linda Miles doing run-ins during matches for the telvision show. Haven't progressed any further yet with her storyline-wise.

I wish I could say more than that, but there really isn't anything. At least on the OVW side. I would suspect, from what I've heard, that she'll either turn a corner and come back to RAW as a full-time wrestler, or be cut. I don't think she'll be coming back in the "manager/valet" role she had with the Bashams.

God, I long for the days of tag-teams in matching tights, not only that but tag-teams in matching tights with real team names!

Blah. You would think they could use some of this massive amount of money they have to hire some talented writers.... and a decent catch all to weed out the crap ideas. Give me a break. A good check will lure good writers in.
