I really thought there had been someone else but couldn't remember at all who it was. Thanks.
I guess as far as guys who bump a lot (or work at all, as the case may be), the surgery seems to be at the least less effective than the fusion surgery. Reckon that's to be expected.
Whoah, I'm not saying Goldberg's a great wrestler, but it could do big money with the right build-up. If Goldberg can be 'persuaded' not to shoot on people all the time (Re:-Bret Hart) then Kurt may not be in any danger at all. GB might not need to be persuaded if Kurt takes the correct time off. I know he hates being away from the ring, but he's got to realise that he won't spend any more time in the ring if he spends less time out of the ring rehabbing.

A SHOOT is someone forgetting the script and stiffing the shit out of someone with the usual intent of injuring on purpose.
A mule kick to the head that was too hard and causes a career-ending concussion? A sloppy accident.
There's a difference between shooting on someone and hitting someone so hard you put their head in the 5th row. Just sayin is all.
Originally posted by CurlymessyfringePlease don't say that Kurt will be ut for a year. They need him to feud/job with Goldberg. I think that ould be a good series of matches with GB winning first, then a no decision (Kurt gets DQ'd or summat) and then Kurt gets the win and then it all culminates with a really huge match with Kurt winning with the Ankle Lock. He could also go with HBK. That would be nice. Or Ric Flair for Flair's retirement match (it's either Kurt, Rocky or Steamboat in flair's retirement match I'm guessing).

Angle vs. Goldberg?? Dude, what are you on ?
"If you put the letter 'S' in front of Hitman, you get my basic oppinion of Bret Hart!"-Steve Austin to Brian Pillman September 96 in regards to Bret Hart...and, no I'm not calling you stupid!
Kurt Angle is one of my all-time favourites. Maybe my favourite period. Heel or face. The guy can be scary as hell, as he's been with those blank stares on SD the past few weeks. Or he can be funny as hell--the tiny cowboy hat, singing cowboy songs with Austin. He was a great amateur wrestler and a great pro wrestler. He took his push with grace, and was always willing to help get someone over. A real example.
"Mother Hubbard!"
If he needs to retire so he doesn't end up crippled for the rest of his life, he should. It will be our loss, but it would be for the best. If he wanted an on-going role on TV programming, I'm sure the WWE would find a job for him, like they have found for Austin. He's a great talker, and he could be a great mentor to a lot of young talent. If he ever started a wrestling school, I'm sure it would be successful.
So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!

He's still great mind.
You know Goldberg's not in WWE anymore, right?
Sometimes it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps in the morning.
There's no guarantee that he won't ever come back. He is apparently friends with Austin, who must hold some backstage sway. Personally, I don't really like his 'style', but a feud with someone like Angle (espeially a heel Angle) could do some big money for the company which could be used to better the company. Of course, Angle would have to be careful...
Okay, if you don't agree with Angle against GB, what about Angle vs. HBK? That would be a good match. Angle has said he'd like to face off with HBK in a match and HBK has shown his admiration of Angle. That could be another big money feud.
After getting checked out by at least two doctors this week, Kurt Angle won't be undergoing neck surgery and it's at this point not a career threatening injury. This breathed a sigh of relief to a lot of people.

So, Angle is apparently OK for now, but he still can't be counted on for the long term. The best course of action for him would still be to take some time off and MAKE SURE he is not risking his career and his future quality of life by getting right back in to the ring. Nevertheless, good news for Kurt and WWE.
David Spade teaches us an Important Lesson:
Joe Dirt: So yer gonna tell me that you don't have no black cats, no roman candles, or screaming mimis? Kicking Wing: No. Joe Dirt: Oh come on man. You got no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippity do das, or crap flappers? Kicking Wing: No, I don't. Joe Dirt: Yer gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or whitout the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser? Kicking Wing: No... because snakes and sparklers are the only ones I like. Joe Dirt: Well that might be your problem, it's not what you like, it's the consumer.
YES!YES!YES! He's okay! But I echo the comments of samoflange, he should make a FULL recovery and make sure that he feels and is okay before going into any kind of match. It may leave a gap for a little bit, but when Angle comes back we're sure that he's taking no unnecessary risks in the ring.

I've seen multiple scenarios involving Joe, Jericho and HHH but I don't think I've seen anyone mentioning the most obvious, simplest solution. Thirteen years ago, Goldberg didn't just defeat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania.
