(Hey, there's a damn SURVIVOR thread every week, and I CAN'T be the only Wiener who watches this show...)
Sorry to see Leah go, but it seems my pro-Seattle bias kicked in Tuesday making me think she did better than she actually did. I can't believe Redhead John made it through. I thought the deck was totally stacked against him, and they made it "Soul" night AND had him immediately follow Fantasia, George, and Jennifer. It was like they were trying to figure out how to assure that he'd be gone after week one. I hope Jennifer goes next, but I think her being in the last three will make more people vote for her, like Ruben after he was in the last two last season.
I'd say the line of goodness has Fantasia, LaToya, George, Jennifer, Jasmine, and Diana on the "good" side and the other six (well, five now) underneath them.

I caught Leah's performance after I got done bowling, and I thought she stunk. She sounded very flat, and I wasn't impressed with the overall performance. It also didn't seem like the greatest choice of song for her either.
In the context of baseball, the use of drugs hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, the use of alcohol hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, womanizing hurts whom? Maybe the wife of the player? In the context of baseball, felonies are crimes against society, not against baseball. In the context of baseball, gambling is the only crime against baseball.
Gambling, in the context of baseball, is a capital offense and Rose has richly earned-- hell, he agreed to-- his death sentence. Let him hang.

Leah sucked and I was glad to see her leave. I swore I wasn't going to watch the show after the midget got kicked off, but god damn it, I can't stop! My favorite right now is Jasmine.

You're right JayJay. There are others watching Idol. You're not alone.
Leah was awful. She shouldn't have gotten as far as she did.
We're pulling for Jon Peter Lewis. We know he doesn't have much of a chance of winning, but we were rooting for Clay from the beginning last year and we thought he had no chance.
I still wish Lisa Leuschner got a second chance at the wildcard show. Judging from her performance on the original show she performed on (where she lost out to Matt the football player), she did better that night. I also liked Leah earlier on but I agree last night wasn't her best at all.
I'm behind Jasmine, Camille, and Diana as far as personal favorites go. Camille wasn't "on" this past week, but I really hope she finds her groove next time around.
I actually missed out on the results show last night since I was out. Did they announce the theme for next week, if any?

It's country...I think.

Mrs. Dunk and I also watch and both agredd that Leah was toast about 10 seconds into her "performance" - I guess there weren't enough pre-pubescent boys out there to dial her through.
Jasmine is our favorite - she doesn't need to screech & wail through notes like so many of the other singers in the Final 11. Oversinging was a problem well before Simon mentioned it the other night.

I was watching at the beginning of the show. The first round was great to see all the really good singers and the really bad ones. The second round was interesting, having to write their own songs and perform with others but then in the third round when they were trying to decrease the numbers I got kind of bored. It's probably better now that they're down to the best people but I've pretty much lost interest now.
Although, Ruben being from my hometown could have something to do with because after last year and all the pub he got here was just ridiculous and became very annoying very quickly.
glad to see that jasmine's getting a lot of support because right now she is pretty near to, if not at, the top of the quality list, (and she's from my hometown to boot!) on another note, did anyone else cringe when they had the on stage group singing session? especially the male duets? bleah.
it says so right here in the wcw handbook!
what does it take to get a higher ranking around here? i already know what it takes to get a lower one! :-P
...go see The Ring. Extremely creepy and well done. I'd put it up with my favorite horror movies: The Shining, Night of the Living Dead, Halloween, and Exorcist. The two kids in this movie (the girl in the "movie" and the lead's son)
