Y'know, I seriously thought they were going to get all Jake Roberts/Rick Rude during that segment, and reveal that the girl was the wife/girlfriend of another wrestler, and suddenly Val would find himself in an actual feud.

That is, of course, going on the assumption that they care about Val, which they don't, so he didn't.

I'll admit Trishtian's promo wasn't great, but I think the logic for the heel turn works. Basically, they came out and said that Jericho's been acting like a love-sick sissy for the last month, and Trish doesn't want that. She wants a bastard of a man, like Jericho was when he was a heel and they started this whole love-triangle.

I wondered if there's a "Kurt Angle Wig Emporium" somewhere to help her with all her wig needs.

To be honest, I would have marked out for Angle to come out for his match at WMXX, walk over to Molly (who was still strapped to the chair at the time) and try to make her feel better about her bald plate.

"Look, it's not too bad. Well, for a guy it isn't, at least. On women, however, it -- but I'm getting away from my point. You look . . . smooth. Guys . . . somewhere . . . probably go for women with that look. Somewhere. Yeah. I've heard guys talk about liking women who shave themselves, so you'll probably be fine. Uh, I gotta go to the ring."

The wig was funny, but it had recently been done with Angle, and I don't think they wanted to go down the same road there so soon. Although if Molly has a variety of wigs - like a wrestling version of Cher - then that would be pretty funny.

I'm surprised no one here has mentioned, or had a heart-attack over, the impending return of McMahons to your TV?

Victoria and Kurt Angle were on Fox News Channel last week together and the subject of Bald Molly came up. Not that anything was said of interest just that Angle said Molly wouldn't look good. How did Angle predict that?

And Trish is just like other women in real-life, some hate having a nice guy around who's in love with them. I think Trish could have said she too fell for Y2J when he was a bad guy rocker with an edge (got to get an Edge reference in) not the soft, sappy, lovefool on a losing streak he's become now, so she dumped him before it began for a guy on the up and who can keep it up! BTW has the term 'CLB' gotten over with anyone (aside from people at a Trish Stratus or Y2J Forum), or is it just a heelish thing to do to keep plugging away with it?

Most segments on RAW seemed pointles after the announcement - either as they are not going to be carried through or as it means that the two parties will still be on the same show.

But I'm all for stars like Austin giving a rub to midcarders like La Resistance.

And just what will happen on Smackdown - that show could be a clusterf*ck train-wreck!

But in the WWE universe, HHH is not married to Stephanie & therefore not related to Vince. He had to be referring to Stephanie and/or Shane.

I was surprised they didn't do a Molly/Austin faceoff. The visual would have been great plus he IS the one that came up with the head-shaving idea.

I figured it had a double meaning. For storyline purposes, it means his family. For an underlying meaning to those who know, it means HHH too. Just a little extra assurance maybe that Vince is serious about the roster shake-up, and that HHH's political pull won't have him getting everything he wants. We can only hope

That was funny all right, but the funniest moment of the show for me was the two guys in the front row trying to distract Dupree with their version of his French dance.

Trish was never a "well-developed" character, although that would depend on how you define well-developed I suppose. Sure, it wasn't much of a turn, but I can accept the explanation. She basically just did it to be a skank. It happens. Nice girls (and guys) do it too. Anything Trish does to do with sex people get all in knot about because she's the blonde girl Jesus around these parts, but I don't know too many people in real life who never skank out a bit or do "bad" things sexually, so why shouldn't they exist in the fantasy world of WWE?

Did it strike anyone else as funny that they ran that ad for the toyset which features Brock and Goldberg? Or the weight-gaining ad with Brock?

Yeah, I know it is advertising that they might as well get their money's worth out of, but considering how it all ended there, it's just funny to watch the ads now.

The best part of that ad is that it starts with, "We've got the REAL wrestlers! Brock Lesnar! Goldberg!"

Well, on the bright side, maybe now trish will get some new entrance music and lose that annoying fucking giggle at the begining of it. The only worse entrance music starting was the old Savage in WCW with the "WHAT UP MACH?" or whatever the hell that chick was actually saying.

I thought it was a perfectly good apres-WM show.

HHH, arm in a sling, flinging his water bottle, flinging his jacket. Multiple forehead band-aids. He is not a happy boy. Good delusional promo, putting Benoit over big time. Nice menace from Evolution surrounding the ring, just to be scattered by Shawn with chair.

I'm happy with the way they're handling Benoit so far. He can occasionally summon up some big intensity for a promo, but he's really not great at it. But he got the title anyway, & they're working on keeping good promo-guys around him since he can't really carry that aspect. That's smart use of the talent.

Nice explanation by Michaels of why it's in his own best interest to hang around near Benoit, but in Tweener-land. We've slightly lost "Shawn wants to 'end it' with HHH" being HBK's focus, but we can always get back to that.

It saddens me that that Victoria & Jackie G have just tossed aside Stevie & Rico. Victoria doesn't need Stevie, but they were so fun together.

Have we ever had a Chris Jericho appearance where he didn't say one word to anybody? He didn't even pose at the stage during his entrance. I think the Jericho shift is more important than the Trish turn.

Doesn't sound to me like we're done with Orton/Foley. I'm done with Evolution beating up Mick, but I'm good with Mick continuing to work with Randy.

Fifi wasn't at all sure what to make of Austin. Nice yawn as Fifi was duly impressed at Austin. :-) We knew Austin wasn't calling Fifi a "French bitch" -- Fifi's a boy.

They all look alike to me, but ... My first thought was that that was probably Val's wife (Note the non-trivial wedding ring on her.) but reviewing some pictures (kehoe73.freeserve.co.uk), she looks more to me like Edge's wife! Kinky.

During the Goldberg/Lesnar (& others) action figure commercial, my thought was more like "You kids at home can put on a more interesting match with these plastic action figures, than the real Goldberg & Lesnar did at WMXX!" Just a slight voiceover change.

If Booker & RVD are going to stay together, they're going to have to work out their entrance. Rob standing behind Booker when Booker's pyro went off nearly flambe'd Rob's ponytail.

Dudleys and RVD all 3 wearing matching mustard-&-relish outfits -- very distracting. Dudleys heel shift was very good. A damn good match for that style of thing. It was one of those very stiff matches, which is generally where Rob looks best. Nice take of a big clothesline from D'Von. I loved D'Von dragging Rob off the turnbuckle by his ponytail & flinging him. And a wicked looking DDT (DDT-ish thing) by Bubba on Rob. I've said it before: Rob just needs it rough. :-) The segment where Bubba was trash talking Rob & beating on him was about the most interesting Bubba I've seen in a long time. A bleeped "Fuck you" from Booker to Bubba. I wonder if that's the match they wanted to have at WM, if Vince hadn't given La Res & Jindrak/Cade (the young talent) their WM payday.

"Sorry about your luck, Spike. Wrong place, wrong time. I'm gonna ask that you all remain silent, 'cause the lady's got something she wants to get off her chest." (As it were.) Having Trish count 3 as Christian pinned Spike was a nice touch. The thing I liked least: "Before you all sit there & judge me" sounded exactly like Chyna for some reason. "I'm no CLB because I got the girl." Tee-hee. "She wants someone a little rough. She wants someone a little dirty. She wants a man." Oooooh!

Oh, we're back to the "fight in your little war .. get shot for you pieces of crap" thing. I was hoping that we could migrate Rene away from that particular point -- he can generate heat without that.

Was it just my imagination, or was that the most wrestling-like work that Austin's done since he's been back? This was way more than just the usual kick-whan-stunner. It sure looks like Rene is going to be his pet project.

Randy's not just happy to be here tonight. I'm totally convinced that he didn't tell Flair & Batista exactly why he wanted to borrow socks from them.

Y'know, we've been talking about Orton's push, but Batista is certainly getting a nice amount of visibility & solid work out of this whole thing. He's definitely moving up my faves list. (HHH & Batista walking in together, & pointing at Benoit in perfect sync was goooood.) He had some nice stuff with both Shawn & Chris, including nice selling of the triple Germans & the sharpshooter.

One note to Batista: Just because Goldberg isn't around any more, don't you pick up his "C'mon, boy." thing. (Besides, that's my line. ;-> )

Foley was running down the ramp. Actually, literally running. Wooo. (There's something you don't see every day, Edgar.)

Good show.

OK, here we go...

1) HHH/Benoit promo to start -> From what I read, I was right about the triple threat match being the "blood match" of the night and having both HHH & HBK blading. HHH sure looks naked without the belt. Doublly weird, Benoit with the belt. Good promo to start.

2) Divas tag match -> OK match. Thanks Austin for that hair stipulation. Grrr, and Molly was really getting there on my hot list. Now, we have to wait a few months.

3) Jericho/Hardy -> my dad agreed with me about what I said about Matt Hardy V1 last week. He sure has dropped down the totem pole to near jobber status, even though he got a DQ win.

4) Austin/La Resistance/Fifi -> Fifi...love it, Austin's head popping onto the screen w/Fifi...LOL. I always laugh when he just pops out from nowhere.

5) Venis/Kane -> "HELLLLLOOOO, LADIES!!!"...Goodbye Val, I'm going to the bathroom.

6) Stacy/Jackie to Vince -> I think I saw only 2-3 moves in the 2 minutes of "action." Then Vince comes out. Another draft, yes!!

6) Booker & RVD/Dudleys -> Booker/RVD entrance just did not sound right to me. Bubba's trash-talking, which you could hear really loud, reminds me of Larry Zybysko...no need for a microphone. Good match.

7) Spike/Christian/Trish -> Spike, I'd rather see you on Smackdown with the cruiserweights. Good promo, as we sat down shocked about Trish's change. We couldn't believe it (we did not watch the PPV).

8) Dupree/Austin -> OK, please split up La Resistance!!!

9) Handicap match -> Good match. I was splitting between talking to my mom about what should be in my lunch tomorrow and watching the match. HBK, now I know what people were talking about the nasty bladejob at WMXX.

Well, I will not write after Smackdown because I will be focused on the NCAA tourney. I'm actually taking Thurs/Fri off so I could just stay home and watch. As for Smackdown, that will have to wait until early next week at the earliest. I could be back for Raw, but we'll see when we get to it.

If you like her character or not it's up to you, but her success ratio of getting angles and opponents is prettys strong. What you call the "blonde girl Jesus" I call respect. I call it looking at someone who worked damn hard to break away from her 2000-character and succeeded in doing so. To go backwords does bother me, doing a role that any roookie chick with limited talent(there's an abundance of in the current roster) yeah I would call it a waste of talent. If it's a guy who's booked oddly it's more then okay to write up huge synopsis of how you think their misused but if it's a woman it's "oh your a mark, stop being so hurting".

If Chris Benoit falls for Shaniqua voodoo spell and hooks up with her freaky group (which actually was teased last year), Wouldn't we freak out? If Benoit says he's really from Quebec and joins La Resistance when he jumped to Raw, wouldn't we question what a bizarre move?. If Kurt Angle becomes the 3rd man in the Rikishi/Scotty dance machine or befriend Val and Storm and skirt chase we'd call it a waste of talent... Sure anybody can be booked any which way but if any of those went through, I'd talk out against it. I view the Trish way of booking just as bizarre in my eyes

I'm not upset cause she's a heel, heels do tend to be more interesting. It was the set up & the type of heel she's became that left a bad taste in my mouth. The illogical turn is just annoying. Kurt Angle turn is a great example of a great heel turn. There was a build with clues if you looked for them for his turn, there was legit motivation & top it all off the heel Kurt is still the same character just a bit twisted to a darker side... Where was the set up? She was turned off by Y2J being sensitive?(Yet backstage she keeps running into his room concerned how he is, If they were actually setting it up wouldn't she be alot more nonchalant about it, it looks like they decided to make the turn on WM morning). Where was the motivation (to get back at Y2J to sleep with his friend who was also in on the bet? How dumb is that). And how does any of this fit in the Trish character we seen for the past 3 years?

Someone on this board, I wish I remember who it was actually called a Trish heel turn at WM but unlike the writers who put this tripe together this poster actually put some thought into it. He said she'd turn against Jericho & align herself with Christian by saying how she "Has worked to be seen as a wrestler first, girl second and when Christian didn't let up & wrestled her it showed her that he respects her as a wrestler"... Sure she'd come off as a flake but atleast it would have some connection to the character she played for the last 2 years instead of totally ignoring it & just re-doing her 2000 persona. That would allow some dimension to her heel character later on unlike the limited role she's stuck in now. So I am going to call the writers unimaginative, you turn Trish and the best thing you can come up with is "Let's skank her up". That's not Male Soap Opera writing, it's laziness.

I think JeriTrish still had legs, Y2J was as over as ever at WM, Trish was the most over female in the building(even more then the gals in the PB match). Before we had a chance to see what they can in a partnership they stop it. Seeing how people like to speak for the wrestling audience here Let me also... What I see is a storyline you invested 5 months on storyline that had the most illogical and stupid conclusion. You think Angle/Steph/H had a horrible conclusion which I actually know people who stopped watching because of it, this one is just as worse. Why even watch to see what these unrealistic, idiotic character will do when the payoff people wanted never came, who cares about if Y2J beats up a girl who was his friend for a month or 2. I think it will do very little for Y2J, it will ruin Trish's career & Christian will get limited heel kissing hot chick heat which he would get with anyone on the roster

OSH: You ask me what was the last man-hungry female heel. Have you watched Smackdown in the last year plus. That's all there is over there. I don't blame you for forgetting about SD considering how every single angle with females involved there fizzled into nothing after a month are so as they are put on the shelf until another inane angle is thought up. I guess those are Male Soap Opera female character on SD had a lot more success then the "bland" Trish had on Raw riiight.

Now for something totally different, Emma thank you for reminding me about Batista selling of the Germans. It was so funny how he had his arms flapping away like a hummingbird. I had to laugh, he looked like an action figure who arms move if u press his legs because his motions with his arms were so humorous, check out the weekend shows if they replay the Germans, I think you would get a laugh out of it... But it was a good effort on his part, I'll give him that.
