Blah. Went from 60's entering the weekend to snow and 20's. Where is Global Warming when you need it?
Latest news out of Hollywood is that Sid Eudy was offered the role of Jesus in The Passion. Unfortunately, that fell through due to Sid's continued insistence that he be crucified under the title: King of the Squirrels.

Oh, yeah. I got snookered into one of those once. I was happily in Vancouver, early one March, with appropriate rain gear, when I got a call, "Can you pleeeeeease just 'drop by' Calgary to check on the site there??" Very long story made as short as possible, the site manager assured me that it was in the mid-60'sF, that all the snow was melted, & that the forecast was lovely. Being young & stupid I let myself get talked into going. As we landed in Calgary, I immediately noticed that there was some considerable amount of odd white stuff falling from the sky. I'm from Phoenix. I had never been in snow in my life. Hertz was very helpful in giving me a tank that was going to go exactly where I herded it. But that still wasn't much help with my open-toed shoes & raincoat. I really did look all around in the car for something to get the 5" accumulation of snow off the car windshield, before I went back inside & pathetically asked the site guys to assist the Arizona bimbette in distress. (Hertz did not manage to include the scraper thingie in the tank.) And I really had no clue about whether I was supposed to plug in my car in the hotel parking lot.

The same thing happened to me in Toronto. I'm waiting in the terminal at Pearson for my connecting flight and I see this white dust floating around outside and I'm trying to figure out, is this sawdust, is it coming from one of the planes, is this dirt? And then about 2 minutes later it hits me: this is that stuff called snow that everyone from up north talks about!! I grew up in Miami, so this was just as foreign a concept to me. And for some untold reason, I was wearing loafers with no traction on it. Fun.
^^ Haha Exactly, I'm from Ontario and on Friday we got 17C (about 64F) weather and 24 hours later it was snowing... Mother Nature is such a tease
smark/net attack wienerville advisory is lowered to BLUE alert - Guarded (Due to Eddie being WWE champ and facing Angle at WM, Benoit winning the Rumble in World title match in mania BUT Kliq members is still a threat - Vince you can save us from these threats) 2/17

Oh, I'm not saying it's going to stay like this for very long! We get those fantastic chinook winds coming off the mountains to warm everything up and melt everything down. Patios open up, people wear shorts...and it's March.
We'll get a blizzard before this month is over, however. And in May. It always seems to snow in May.
My condolences to drjay. Meanwhile, check out what I stole from Yahoo!.com!:
My boss was contemplating this morning whether or not to have the office take a group-picture of ourselves standing outside wearing short-sleeved T-shirts, then mailing the photo to our poor brothers/sisters at the main office in NY.
-I happen to *like* my ball & chain, thankyouverymuch
