I had a chance to catch reruns of the first two weeks of Dream Job on ESPN recently, and was hooked. I just watched week three and I have to say that the judges and America could not have been more correct. Hell, I didn't even care enough about possible spam from ESPN if it meant going on the website and voting off Michael Quigley. He was awful tonight.
The second choice of voting off Lori was right on as well, although none of the judges ripped on that Anekwe (sp?) guy who was unfunny with his "this translated in my language is..." lines. Lori was outshone by the other woman.
I think that the judges were wrong about Nick Stevens. He doesn't seem that smug to me. Of course I love Zach, who actually IS serious apparently to get this job, and I'm with him. It is actually between him, Kelly the lawyer, and the "short" guy for my favorites to win it all.
Anyone else care to speculate about the future episodes and the winner of this engaging show?
In 8 days, you will see the return of the Undertaker, the Dead Man that most of us have been clamoring for for years.
Also in 8 days, you will see most of us complain about the return of the Dead Man, the Dead Man that most of us have been clamoring for for years.
Damned (straight to Hell) if you do, damned (straight to Hell) if you don't.
I'm really glad Stuart Scott has toned down his act since the first week. Most of his stuff still isn't funny but it isn't as over the top either. Anyway, I think it's going to come down to Aaron, Mike and Maggie. Aaron and Mike dominated their seperate co-anchored Sportscenters and Maggie brings something different than any anchor they have now. I don't care what Kornheiser says, Kelly doesn't look like a sportscaster to me. And he is pretty plain too.
Quigley was beyond awful this week, just like his first time. I can't believe Arrington didn't cut him. What is this potential upside he spoke of?
Haven't watched the show, but from the snippets that ESPN constantly cycles through in the commercials ("That's a bit of a rama lama ding dong" or whatever) I think I'm better off ... If these clowns want to audition to be the next Craig Kilborn and get their own late night talke show - rather than, oh I don't know, REPORT THE NEWS - then they should wait for Comedy Central to start up a new season of "Last Comic Standing".
Ugh, why did SportsCenter transform itself into Amateur Night at the Chuckle Hut, anyway?

Just so you guys know: 75% of this crap [you read on the internet] is made up, either by the writer, or the wrestler the writer is getting the dirt from. Just so you know. -- Statement by "Tammy Sytch", from Hyatte's Dec. 29th column ... Lest we forget.
LIke most everything, it started out as a good idea (Olbermann and Patrick being smart and funny) and then EVERYONE had to do it and not everyone had their talent.
