WrestleMania XX looks loaded but even that's a little deceptive. Despite a 4 hour show advertised there are a number of people on the RAW side alone deserving of a spot at WrestleMania. Some are more deserving than others, but you can already book a fairly decent house show with the Mania rejects below:
Matt Hardy Test Lita Jazz Hurricane Scott Steiner Rosie Val Venis Lance Storm Rico Steven Richards Spike Dudley
Why, with names like that, I could sell out any bingo hall in the country. Smackdown probably has a few names as well, but they look like they are better utlilizing their smaller roster for Mania. Trish isn't technically booked for WrestleMania but she has a spotlighted role in the Jericho vs. Christian match. Interesting they are going with Molly vs. Victoria with Molly's hair on the line. A Women's Title match at Mania without Trish or Lita being involved is a weird move.
Meanwhile, Jackie Gayda has a spotlighted match at WrestleMania and Garrison and Cade are competing for the World Tag Team Title. Doesn't seem right.
There has also been some wonder of what will end the show. Triple H vs. HBK vs. Benoit? Angle vs. Eddie? Brock vs. Goldberg? After last night, it seems pretty clear now that they have announced The Rock and Sock Connection vs. Evolution two on three that they are replicating WrestleMania I's tag team main event for WrestleMania XX. It's Hulk Hogan and Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff all over again, with Mick Foley as Hulk Hogan, The Rock as Mr. T, Randy Orton as Roddy Piper and Batista as Mr. #1derful. Only there's no Jimmy Snuka to balance out Ric Flair as Cowboy Bob Orton. It's a damn shame Liberace is dead and Muhammad Ali is debilitated.

Actually, it's a FIVE hour show (7pm to midnight EST), plus Heat beforehand, so SIX hours. But not everyone can be on the card. And not everyone SHOULD be. Just because it's the biggest PPV of the year doesn't mean every mid and low card talent should be present, no matter how much we love them.
With regards to Spike, Matt Hardy and The Hurricane (possibly Rico?), the CW match is a 'Cruiserweight Open'. There is a chance that they could be thrown into that.

This is a good point. For one thing there's no Smackdown tag team title match on the card which would help fill things out on the Smackdown side. I think there are only 3 Smackdown! only matches (?). If this is going to be a FIVE hour PPV, there's definitely room for a Smackdown tag title match. Just make it 2 teams since RAW's tag title match has like 4 in it.

So many guys missing out is one of the drawbacks of having such a loaded roster. I mean, look back to 1997 (when the roster was NOTHING like it is today), and WrestleMania had 3 hours and 7 matches. Yet, they still found room for guys like The Sultan. Yet, nowadays, with five hours and god knows how many matches, guys like Matt Hardy are still being left out.
Personally, I'd just book a big interpromotional battle royal. Just to get some of the deserving guys with no spot on the card. Even if it had to be done on Sunday Night Heat.
I'm sure this is one time everyone would like a spot, wasn't the Willie the Worker (was that ever confirmed to be Jeff Hardy) finally snapped at not having a spot at Wrestlemania. PPV buyrates as a whole hasn't been great and North American houseshow gate hasn't been fantastic either. This is one PPV that will guarantee do better then the other eleven and not getting a cut of it must suck... Plus the pride thing, I think everyone on the roster would like to say "I had a match at Wrestlemania".
Only two spots for the Raw women workers but four for non-WWE non-workers kinda suck. I'd like to see Trish (and Jazz for that matter) be working but it's not happening even though Trish has a storyline and probably be at the show but I'm sure she'd enjoy a match more (obviously that's why she became a worker)
Matt Hardy might be the most surprising name not being at the PPV, but him switching to Raw has really put an anchor on his momentum he had when he started out on Smackdown... I'll also have to say, it hurts these full time guys when part time guys like Foley and Rock come in and take up major spots, even though they bring alot to the table.
