I have thorougly enjoyed all of London's Velocity matches so far. Typically, I watch a show and then during the rerun, I tape the high quality wrestling matches. Lately, there hasn't been much getting taped, but London-Tajiri from last night's Velocity was a great story. Psychology like I haven't seen in a long time. London is a great talent, but he needs a significant buildup to play on Smackdown.
At least the fans were really into his moves and wrestling. He's playing the game of WWE's "New Style" and makes it look easy... because that's the style he's been using all through his time in the indy's.

Right on. London and Kidman need to be getting a tag team push. I'll venture to say that those two vs WGTT could be a **** match if given enough time, and the right build to the feud. Close your eyes and imagine simultaneous SSPs to win the match
my smackdown create-a-wrestler will beat yours anyday

Kidmzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...... needs to be less boring before he gets over.
Speaking of Paul London...I like him, he's great, but he got treated like a jobber BY a jobber last time out on Velocity (v Sakoda). Another thing, what is the "Dropsault" that he uses? Is it just a dropkick? And why is it his finisher? I haven't actually seen him to the SSP yet...

The dropsault is a moonsault dropkick. Basically do a standing moonsault while dropkicking the opponent when in the air. It's a pretty stupid contrived spot in my opinion, which only makes any sense when he does it and actually lands on a second opponent with the moonsault. It's not his finisher. He did try a 450 splash to finish Sakoda last week. I don't think he's had a singles win yet, so who knows what his finisher is.

Not sure about 2003, but he has not had any singles wins in 2004. His year to date record has him at 7-1-6-0. Good question. What is his finisher?
Addendum: I really should learn to check the obvious sources, not to mention other posts.
Resubmitted and finisher added.
(edited by LinearRO on 1.3.04 1821) I know what you're thinking. Did I fire seven shots or six? Well to tell you the truth in all of this confusion I've sorta forgotten myself, so you have to ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk? -Whose Line is it Anyway: Scenes From a Hat (Ryan Stiles as Carol Channing).

It very clearly confirms that his finisher is a standing SSP called the "London Calling"...as I just said above.
Originally posted by Paul London's WWE Bio The annals of World Wrestling Entertainment history contain dozens of Superstars who were born in the state of Texas and ascended to the highest levels of sports entertainment. Paul London is hoping that he is the next great Superstar to emerge from the Lone Star State, and if he continues to improve and impress, he may very well get there. After beginning his career on the independent circuit at the age of 19, London gained a reputation as an up and coming Superstar because of his dual abilities to compete as both a high-flyer and technical wrestler. His finishing move -- a Shooting Star Press he calls the London Calling -- has earned raves, and London is awaiting his opportunity to use it on a regular basis on SmackDown! London is very much a future star who is expecting to be a major player in the Cruiserweight Division when the time is right.
No mention of standing SSP. I think (from his indy work) that the London Calling is a normal top rope SSP.
EDIT: In a match on Velocity against Nunzio (November 22 2003) he actually pulled off a Standing SSP but it only got 2.
What does WWE have to blame ratings on this week? That rousing Dolphins/CHARGERS game? The new season of Joe Millionaire? The sad thing is, the highest rated segment was Shane/Test. Somebody's going to interpret that as SHANE = RATINGS!!!
