found the following at www.wrestlingnewsboard.com

Mick Foley Returns To RAW Next Week; So Does The Rock

Posted by Ryan Cain on 02/24/2004 at 10:12 AM

As announced on RAW last night during his interview, Mick Foley will return to RAW next week.

We have just been told that The Rock will also be on the show as well to setup a tag team match between The Rock and Mick Foley against Randy Orton and Batista.

Stay tuned.

the last time he made a surprise appearance the place went nuts and he laid the smackdown on conway & dupree. this time i expect he'll get orton, flair & batista.

and thats all i have to say about that!

HONESTLY, SOME PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD DON'T LIKE FUCKING SPOILERS. YOU COULD WRITE, RAW SPOILER, INSTEAD OF YOUR FUCKING THREAD TITLE. FUCK YOU AND YOUR IRRESPONSIBILITY.

CRZ CLEARLY STATED THAT NO POSTS WOULD BE ALLOWED THAT SPOILED THE IRON MAN MATCH BETWEEN KURT ANGLE AND BROCK LESNAR. I THINK THAT NOT SPOILERS SHOULD BE ALLOWED IN THREAD TITLES.

FUCK YOU.

"Huard, gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone...it is INTERCEPTED INTERCEPTED, THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35, the 40. Kenny Wheaton's gonna score! Kenny Wheaton is gonna score! 20, the 10, Touchdown! Kenny Wheaton on the interception, the most incredible finish to the football game!"

"We have just been told"

Haha I'll bet they have.

"INSTEAD OF YOUR FUCKING THREAD TITLE."

The idea that Rock is coming to Raw isn't exactly the best kept secret. At least as far as PRO WRESTLING MESSAGE BOARDS are concerned.

"FUCK YOU AND YOUR IRRESPONSIBILITY."

Rock and Sock vs. Orton and Batista???? That's awful. Orton and Flair, DAMMIT! Give Flair one more nice payday. No one REALLY cares about Batista. Not really. Batista is like the NJ Nets. No one cares.

Yes I know that the Rock is coming back. We all do. But I don't know exactly when. I remember the last time the Rock came back for only one night. I lept out of my chair in surprise in celebration. That is why I love wrestling. I would like to keep a little of that. I know he is returning, but now that I know exactly when, I won't be as pleasantly surprised.

That is all.

I feel the same way. Really the only thing you can do is avoid boards like these during WrestleMania time, or pretty much any big event. It does kind of ruin things a little. I've tried to enjoy wrestling on a mark level, but most of the internet folk like to know everything that's gonna happen, always read spoilers, and know every backstage detail. They get their jollies that way, and these boards are their playground. I don't get it, but that's just the way it is. Raw and Smackdown have been spoiled for me MANY times without checking the spoilers. Just like the asshole above, some people have no consideration and assume that everybody knows everything beforehand. Like I said before, there's nothing you can really do except avoid the boards.

The pop he got last time was huge... if Evolution is doing a beatdown on Foley, and the Rock comes out... damn, that place is going to explode. There aren't many wrestlers anymore who get huge pops, and Rock is one of them. Even if it's for only a few weeks.

God, The Rock is amazing to see. I'm sad that the only time I've seen him in person was at King of the Ring 2002, during the HHH/Undertaker -***** match where he came out and stood in the aisle and did nothing.

I don't mean to sound harsh but have you ever really met the guy? I mean I haven't either but yeah. The fact he does return to wrestling, and he's a great worker, and UBER over with the fans, and the most charismatic man on the roster(arugeable).

Even if he his spotlight hungry, if he's putting over people(or making an effort to) and entertaining me, keep him as long as possible.

Of course they have, from "certain people backstage," or "dissatisfied workers" or even "a number of WWE employees."

My guess is they were told by the voices in their head that magically appear whenever they pass by the radios playing ads for the Raw show that mention the possible return of Rock.

If he were to interact with Rico and Barry Manilow mysteriously appear to sing about their life story, perhaps I'd be interested. And even then it would only be because Rico and Barry Manilow would be on the TV at the same time.

Right! I donīt give a sh*t about Batista as well.
Besides that I think that Orton teaming with Warlord2003 instead of Flair takes away from Orton!
You know, Orton/Flair vs. Rock/Foley means some elite company for the Legend killer!
3 Legends and one killer! Thatīs a push for Randy!
Add Batista instead of Flair and you have 2 legends against 2 newcomers. I donīt think thatīs good for anyone, not a good draw and - as I mentioned - takes away from Orton!

It'll be nice to see. I'm not the biggest Rocky fan in the world, far from it, but it's always a little more exciting when The Rock is around.

At least this time, theoretically, he won't come back, win the World Title over people who've been more deserving, and lose it. Although you gotta admit, looking back, it was a big thing for Brock to beat The Rock for his first WWE Championship.

Of course, I think the rub may have been better given to someone else, but...

I'm pretty sure the guy who's earning fifteen mil a movie and is on some of the biggest party lists on Oscar night isn't too bothered about coming back to a cult-audience entertainment show for "the spotlight". What planet do you live on?

So Mick Foley should have the Rock and Randy Orton is supposed to counter with a 55-year old man instead of the monster they're trying to push? I think we can all agree that Batista sucks, but if they're going to have him around they might as well use him, and he's been a major part in the Foley killings thus far. Furthermore, it turns the notch up with these young punk dickheads trying to beat up fat old Foley and the Rock for their own personal gain, to make a mark at Wrestlemania. I don't see how it hurts Orton at all, and the mere presence of Foley & Rock is the draw, not whether or not the opposition is all that strong. I doubt they're banking on the match all that heavily anyway, except to take Orton to the next level, perhaps.
