This is a fairly obscure game, but I've been trying to find an emulator or any info on it. It was in the arcades around 1992 and was based on a top-to-bottom perspective. You could move side-to-side, but the screen was always advancing towards you. It was a four-player game and you could pick from Duke, Snake-Eyes, Roadblock or Scarlett. Each character had a distinctive weapon. You could also pick up power-ups, more ammo and other stuff as you progressed. Had several levels, with a big "boss" at the end of each (Destro, Major Bludd, etc). I just thought it was nifty because it featured appearances and vehicles from the entire 10-year GI Joe roster. I only saw it in one arcade, in Fort Collins, CO.
It was a fairly entertaining game, and I'd like to track down a version of it. Does anyone have info?
Just so you guys know: 75% of this crap [you read on the internet] is made up, either by the writer, or the wrestler the writer is getting the dirt from. Just so you know. -- Statement by "Tammy Sytch", from Hyatte's Dec. 29th column ... Lest we forget.
You might want to check auctions. There are many sites online that you can get info about upcoming arcade auctions. Also ebay may garner some luck, if you cant get the machine, you can at least get the arcade board and build your own cabinet. FYI dont talk about emulation here, I did it once and the topic was closed. It IS illegal, and thus the Zims want nothing to do with it.

That appears to bedebatable. And emulation is 100% legal, it's just that obtaining the ROMs in any manner than making a copy from your own cartridge/CD/arcad eboard is illegal. Nobody is providing links to download copyrighted software though, so there shouldn't be a problem. (Of course, even if they were providing download links, as long as the ROMs themselves aren't on the board's server, there's nothing the Zims could get in legal trouble over.)
Alessandro's on the rigt track. I'll see if I can track down a machine.
I'm a complete novice with emulators. Know what they are, but I've never had the patience or resources to download or set one up. I drop by this place maybe once every two months, and didn't know that they're somewhat controversial. Sorry 'boot that.
