Well, now that the second WWF Weakest Link is now officially done I have to say it's definitly a good visual to have a huge guy in a mask and tights facing a guy named Bubba (sic) to see who's the smartest WWF superstar. I felt bad for D-Von after Buh Buh called him his "wife" but it made for some good television.
Kane's win is allegedly going to be used in some character development (according to the Ross Report a few weeks ago) Good Ol' JR says that we'll be hearing him talk more. Looks like they started it with Smackdown this past week. Though I am dissapointed that Isaac Yankem DDS didn't know novoacaine.
Austin was hilarious as usual. And he got the 'What?' in to the delight of many. Fortunatly it was only once. King was okay as well since he wasn't in dirty old man mode. Terri and Debra left me non-plussed and Edge was gone too soon to get a good read on how much he really knew.
And of course, since it was a 'celebrity' edition we got the dumbed down questions that I was screaming at the TV. Oh well, at least if they are going to make it easy, we can rest assured that the money goes to charity and not into the contestant's pockets.
Overall, good for the novelty value. We'll see how this plays out on RAW (if it does.)
One of these days I'll come up with a sig that does not suck.
I actually enjoyed this show more than RAW or Smackdown this past week. I think it would be really cool if Austin comes out tomorrow looking for revenge on the people that voted him and Debra off. EDIT: However, I seriously doubt this will happen.

Caring is the first step towards disappointment.

E! News Daily ran a report on the WWF special last week and showed outtakes which didn't actually air.
This included Austin doing "What?" a second time and complaining to the host that she had come back to him again and asking why she didn't talk to the others. There was also the classic image of Kane saying to the camera "I am the strongest link. Goodbye."
I also noticed in the fine print at the end of the show that all of the losers were given $10,000 for their charities.
Originally posted by Tragic1Yeah, I noticed that after I posted this. And sure enough Kawshen started his own thread. Damn it! I want to be an innovater for once!
D-Von came off as a complete idiot, and Edge got the Big Show treatment this time around. (IE: Edge didn't really do anything wrong, and got the boot...)
I enjoy the crossover shows. The Weakest Link parts 1 and 2, and Fear Factor have been REALLY entertaining. I hope they don't do it TOO often - but wouldn't mind seeing them head over to other shows I don't watch regularly, just so I can take a peak.
And Lou - everyone makes spelling mistakes. It happens. We all know you're perfect in every way when it comes to grammar and spelling, there is no need to rub it in everyone's face. Thanks.
I noticed Kane, every time he got one wrong, did his little head shrug to one side (like when he can't eat the ravioli in his chef boyardee commercial). I thought that was funny, as was Austin.
I enjoyed this one a bit more than the first one, because it seemed a bit less "worked" this time around (yeah, right, it was just a coincidence that the Final Two last time were Triple H and Stephanie). Also, you notice that last time everyone was shilling WWF merchandise in their pre-show spiels, and this time none of that? Not even a "Watch Wrestlemania X8 next Sunday, 8 pm"?
I would have marked out like mad if Kane had demonstrated the Tombstone on Anne right there. He probably didn't want to kill his finisher, though. I mean, how can it put a wrestler away if a scrawny, middle-aged British woman pops right up from it?
Anne's putdown of the night was nailing Debra for saying that she was famous for being Austin's wife. It's funny 'cause it's oh you know.
I think the best part of the night came when they were voting off the weakest link after D-Von blew the "what kind of dance does a ballerina do" question. That was priceless stuff.
I have enjoyed these Weakest Links so much. It's the corniest thing anyone ever said, but, I feel so proud of the wrestlers because they do so damn well on the show, and hopefully convince a few people that wrestling need not be associated with stupidity. Terri, Kane, Austin, King, and Bubba were all way better than the non-celebrity people they normally have on the show. Between the five of them, they hardly got a damn question wrong. I was MARKING OUT!!
I was surprised that the King didn't know Bangkok.
Austin laughing at the Wind Beneath Our Wings question was great because you know he was picturing Steph and Chavo and his bouncing head on RAW last summer.
Bubba not knowing an answer and blurting out "JR`s BBQ Sauce" was funny too.
I felt bad for Kane because everyone else was so casual and he had to go full gear Kane mode.It would have been great if he wore the mask with a Hawaiian shirt, or even a business suit.
Then again, he's the only one who can probably not get bothered while travelling or eating out.
I enjoy the shows because it is one of the few times the characters are really allowed to be themselves. On TV they are 100% in character and serious but on shows like the Weakest Link we get to see them drop their guard a bit and laugh. It shows that they are human. Watching them do programs like Weakest Link gives me a greater appreciation for the characters they play in the WWF.
That is corny.
Corny, but true.
You're in a desert, walking along in the sand when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling towards you. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.
