So I'm having a bit of trouble with just one thing about this dream Guerrero push...
That's not a 'I'm never happy' response. I'm basing that on the fact that for the past several months, Eddie's entire character has been based on lying, cheating, and stealing, and he (and Chavo) got over a great deal with this working for them. And maybe I missed the Smackdown where this changed, but suddenly he's all about getting over his addictions and fighting for the WWE Title.
Don't get me wrong - the entire Chavo turn certainly could have helped 're-focus' Eddie and the way he went about things, but how's the E going to keep the heat from the old Eddie on this one?
You're confusing his actions (lying, cheating, stealing) with his motivations (beating his demons, doing it for his family). I, for one, think this is dynamite booking. Basically, the WWE is saying, "Here's this guy. And he does all the things you love about heels. But the thing is, he does them all for really good reasons. And sometimes he has to break the rules, but he's got a lot of heart."
The problem with this type of booking is that now Eddie SERIOUSLY needs to go over. If you bring up someone's past demons and motivations, it'll do no one any good if he just drops the ball in the end. It'll make him look like a loser.
But the risks are worth it. If Eddie DOES go over, you've got the feel-good wrestling story of the year. "Wrestler hits rock bottom, conquers his demons, and works up from the bottom up until he finally reaches the world title.
Edge: So Triple H wants me to come to Raw and fight him for the big gold belt. I've TOTALLY passed you on the card. Jericho: Yeah, but while Triple H is burying you, I get to make out with Trish in front of millions. You tell ME who the winner is here, junior!

(edited by Santa Sangre on 13.2.04 2058) You heard of me, the fat guy that raps Now it's time for Bizarre to take off his shower cap It's been five days, I patiently waited Saturday mornin, it's time to get faded And I mean get faded, 'I mean get faded!' Damn near four o'clock, I didn't almost make it My barber's name is Sarah, she don't really know how to cut But she got some nice teeth and big ol' butt (yeah!) So two days a week, I get faded for no reason Same ol' haircut, keep it low and breathin If you see me in a barbershop, go on and run Cause I'm probably gettin' a perm and my toe-nails done!"
Forgot to mention I'm surprised that they're letting AJ keep the Styles clash considering he injured a few guys in Japan with it as they teased it twice in the Rumble. The way Sami was booked last night makes me think he'll stay on the main roster.
