What ever happened to Taka Michi Noku. Taka was funaki's tag partner, they were Kai En Tai. I thought they were a great tag team. They were jobbers but every now and then seemed to get a push for comedy purposes. They were very funny together, especially when they were getting dubbed in English.
He has his own promotion, or so I assume it is his promotion since it's called Michinoku Pro. Seen him in various matches, most recently in AJ and Z-1. In a stable called ROD with guys like D-Lo and Bull Buchanan, other gaijin, and Gigantes, whose now dead.
God you guys know nothing, yes he does own his own company called Michinou Pro (can't spell) and i'm sure the great Sakuke also owns part of it but don't qoute me on that
PWI said that it was doing very well as it is a small wrestling organisation so it hasn't had the money problems of the big two NJPW and AJPW

Im not sure if they ever had a matchup...but Taka vs. Tajiri was my alltime dream matchup.
They did. Some ECW pay-per-view in 97, back when Tajiri was clean shaven and wore actual tights. Yeesh. Good match, though.
They didn't face each other in ECW. They teamed together there once, against Super Crazy and Nova. But they did have 3 matches against each other in WWE - two in '97 on Raw (Tajiri made occasional appearances around that time as part of the new light heavyweight division) and once in 2001.

You chastise people for knowing nothing and then use PWI as your source of knowledge? I do believe that may be a new low for this board.

Um, you're wrong.
The Great Sasuke runs Michinoku Pro. TAKA doesn't own it. TAKA owns K-Dojo. He trains people in Japan and Puerto Rico. He's usually wrestling on All Japan shows.

On that note, I've always been curious. Did TAKA take the name Michinoku from the promotion as part a gimmick, was the promotion named for him in some fashion, or is it all just a coincidence?

Yeah, that's him. He was a member of the original Kaientai DX, but now works mostly for Zero-One and Michinoku Pro. The other member Men's Teioh works for Big Japan, although there was a Kaientai reunion a few years back, with Funaki making a special appearance.
I remember (was it during one of his first WCW events?) that Buffer announced the two wrestlers AFTER they entered the ring. The introduction was that of HHH-interview proportions. Dull, boring, and annoying.
