I've confirmed with several sources that Ernest Miller was informed he was being released at last night's Smackdown taping in Tacoma, Washington. Miller had handled commentary duties on Velocity prior to being moved into the Smackdown roster as a full-time worker. His lone PPV match for the company was at the Royal Rumble last month in Philadelphia.

Miller joins Zach Gowen and Chris Kanyon as talent released from WWE within the last week. It is believed one of the reasons so many talents are being released is that several workers from OVW will be brought up to the main roster shortly.

SOMEBODY CALL MY MOMMA! Oh well, he's been nothing more than comedic relief recently, so I'm not too upset about it.

Aww man! And I was seriously getting entertained by Miller and Lamont. Oh well...hope the Cat can dance for...

Wait a sec...would any SERIOUS wrestling promotion actually pick this guy up?

Edge: So it shouldn't be long before I come back, since Smackdown's gonna need another main eventer.
Funaki: There's always Bob Holly.
Edge: HAHAHAHAHAHA!! What? You're serious? DUDE! How long have I been out???

FUCK YOU VINCE! FUCK THE MCMAHONS! Ernest Miller gets released and that piece of shit Randy Orton gets a WrestleMania match with Mick Foley? I swear I'm THISCLOSE to quitting wrestling, THISCLOSE. I'd follow him to TNA, if he goes there, but I don't wanna actually have to PAY to support someone I like. Fucking WWE.

Eh, I liked him as color man on Velocity, but after his segment got edited out of last week's Smackdown!, I think the writing was pretty much on the wall. Not sure why WWE brought him in at all.

Aw hell, I was really hoping they'd keep him around long enough to get into the next Smackdown game. His entrance music wouldn't be quite as great for my own as Reverend D-Von's was, but it'd do just fine.

This is yet to be confirmed. The only site I've seen announce it so far is pwinsider.com, which isn't exactly wrestlingobserver or pwtorch. Even 1bullshit has stated that it isn't confirmed yet.

I'm not saying it isn't true. I'm just saying that all you Cat-haters shouldn't to get your hopes up just yet.

Now that's odd. Didn't we just see a report two weeks ago saying that WWE was upset with the OVW roster and weren't going to be taking any of them for a while?

Seriously I don't think dropping Kanyon, the Cat, or Zach means they're opening spots up as much as trimming down for now. At least I hope that's what it means. Beyond Dinsmore, Nova, and maybe one or two others, there really isn't anyone ready to come up from OVW right now - they got nearly wiped out last year when WWE brought a lot of the guys in.

Oh man, the last time I saw the Cat was back in the old WCW days and I thought he was pretty good.

At first, I thought this thread was gonna be about The Cat (diva).

If it was about her, I think the name would be The Kat with a k.

I can sorta understand that the Cat got released, and i understand why Zack got released... but honestly, Kanyon?

What the heck is Vince thinking anyway? Isn't he only suppose to be evil when he is acting out the writer's script?

Oh well... more for TNA I suppose (at least Kanyon)

I heard that the wig is going to be inserted into the HHH/HBK/Benoit match, just in case. look for the wig to be the next superstar to jump from smackdown.....

Ernest Miller's time in the Royal Rumble was the funniest WWE moment I can remember for a while...I missed him getting tossed out, I was laughing so hard.

i hope its not true.

The Cat was one of the only things GOOD about WCW in its dying days.

He can work the stick very well.

They just need to give him some time to develop, and I think he could have been something.

Again, I hope its not true.
