Now we'll never see Blood Runs Cold Invades WWE.

At least he'll have fun in Hollywood as a stunt coordinator.

Sean O'Haire's probably next. Meanwhile Randy gets pushed to the moon.

I figured this would happen. I'm with Spaceman Spiff on this one. I'm a big Kanyon supporter, and this just sucks. And I'm sure being a former WCW wrestler didn't help him. How can you NOT come up with an idea for this guy? Just boggles the mind.

Yeah, you lost by 20 seconds (The W), but it looks like you got all the replies, so - call it a draw? ;-)

Yeah, I saw that once I got back to the board. I went to delete, but the topic remained, so I resurrected it. Sorry, Mayhem. You were indeed the quicker draw.

It's all cool Madman ...

Here's a link to a message that's supposedly from Chris that was on his forum at www.chriskanyon.com ...

Don't forget that Randy was the one who injured Kanyon with a messed up Atomic Drop.

Yet another reason I hate Randy Orton. All this and he will get to go over Foley at Wrestlemania. Unless FOley hits a big "HOLY SHIT" spot, this will be one of the owrst matches of the night.

Everyone's complaining about them not finding something for Kanyon to do, but really, why should they find something for him to do? The WWE has more midcarders than they know what to do with, and have a hard enough time finding stuff for the active guys to do. Kanyon gets injured 15 minuted into his WWE tenure, and stays injured for almost a year. Now the compay's supposed to bend over backwards to find something for him, when they've already got trouble finding stuff for Hardy or O'Haire? I mean, hell, Billy Gunn doesn't even have anything on his plate, and the management loves that guy. And for those of you complaining about Heidenreich, I'd like to remind you that that load of suck has been on Heat almost since they signed him (don't ask me why they signed him). He's probably not long for this company. And Orton, well, there are two very distinct camps on Orton, and I'm not going to try to bring that discussion into this one. The point is, midcard guys have a hard road because they have the most competition. You can't always count on the company to bail them out, and sometimes it's better if they just part ways.

"Sean O'Haire's probably next. Meanwhile Randy gets pushed to the moon."

Will somebody PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS. Why does everbody have such a colossal hard-on for O'Haire? WHY?! He's a BAD WORKER. He can't talk to save his life. He's a freaking giant, and yet Vince STILL hasn't pushed him. What does that tell you? HE FUCKING SUCKS. DROP IT.

"Don't forget that Randy was the one who injured Kanyon with a messed up Atomic Drop."

Is this the same Randy Orton that Kanyon almost immediately praised in his online commentary and exonerated from blame? Or some mirror-universe Randy Orton who was twirling his handlebar moustache whilst dropping a big ACME anvil onto Kanyon's knee?

"Yet another reason I hate Randy Orton. All this and he will get to go over Foley at Wrestlemania. Unless FOley hits a big "HOLY SHIT" spot, this will be one of the owrst matches of the night."

What the Hell are you talking about? Seriously. Are we writing the rules now, just because things are finally edging towards being good? We have to find these totally ridiculous things to channel our hate into? I've heard so many fucking ludicrous statements over the past coupla weeks that my head's damn near fit to burst. "I can't believe Foley's been dragged out of retirement to put Vince's boy over." Retarded much?

Look, people, I'm sorry that the guy who hasn't been on TV regularly on over a year has finally !GASP! been given an opportunity to move onto something better. I'm sorry that that small ray of light-a blinding beacon, obviously, compared to the fact that TWO OF THE BEST FUCKING WORKERS EVER are going to be headlining successive PPVs-that glimmer of hope that some day, somewhere, Kanyon would make it to SmackDown has been extinguished. I'm sorry that Randy Orton-a guy who many, many people actually find entertaining, a guy who WILL, mark my words, only get better as time passes-rubs so many of you up the wrong way that you have to reach new levels of hyperbole to illustrate your "hate". I'm sorry that, despite all the things, ALL OF THEM that we've all asked for ostensibly coming true, you've managed, if possible, to INCREASE your kvetching about anything and everything. Chris Benoit makes it to WrestleMania! Who cares, Randy Orton's being put over! Eddie Guerrero's main-eventing! Who gives a crap, Kanyon's been released! How many posts are there on this board talking about how fucking GREAT this push of Eddie's has been? How emotional it is? How damn freaking TOUCHING it is? Go on, I'll wait, go count.

None? Well slap my ass and call me Franklin. Now how many posts are there about how much Randy Orton sucks? Take a calculator, it'll save your brain.

Fuck it, I'm sorry you're wrestling fans. It's obviously been a fucking miserable time for all of you. I honestly wish that, all those years ago, you'd flicked the TV onto Power Rangers instead of WCW Saturday Night. It would have saved you SO much hassle, it really would. You could be happy. You could all be so happy.

I weep for the lost innocence.

Bring on the ridicule. This kind of post always asks for it, right?

Well, I'm not blaming anyone for this move. I'm just bummed that they couldn't find a use for Kanyon as I really enjoyed him in WCW and his brief time in WWE. Yeah, I'm happy for the current direction and such, but being able to work another quality worker like him into the blend *somewhere* would have been icing on the cake.

You totally lost me on that part. I agree with a majority of what you said, and a majority of the disappointment regarding Kanyon's release.

But dude, we're jaded. And so we come here and we share how jaded we are, because it's obvious we aren't alone.

Benoit in the main event of Mania XX? Sweet as hell... I wouldn't have expected it a year or two ago. But do I think he'll be put over? No. Why? History, boss. Jaded history, no less.

Guerrero being pushed to the moon? Hell yeah, that I'll give you is golden. But I'm jaded, so I'm just sitting back and hoping he's not just a token champ. In the meantime, until I'm proven right or wrong, you're damn right if you think I'm going to drop in my money to up the buyrates for No Way Out and Mania to support these main events. Abso-freakin'-lutely.

I just don't get why people are so negative towards Randy Orton ... I'm not an Orton mark or anything, but I've seen a helluva lot worse in my days ... I think Orton is a great heel, and not in the "cool-get-face-pops-from-the-crowd" heel ... he naturally makes you wanna hate him because he's such a dick.

He's being groomed to be one of the top 3 stars in company for the next several years ... And let's face it, Orton's still in his early 20's and he's gonna get better ...

I realize there's a touch of sarcasm in that, but there are people who DO think that way without a trace of irony, aaand...

You know who ELSE says stuff like that? Senior citizens who kvetch about why the sun has to come up in THAT direction along with about 100 other little gripes per day. And you ask them WHY they're like that and the answer usually is some variation of "well, this is just how I am and I'm too old to change now". And while that may be true, it doesn't make that person any less of a pain in the ass to deal with.

And like old people, I swear that the majority of the [three-letter explitive of an acronym deleted] are only happy when they're miserable.

WOW!

Hopefully someone from TNA is reading this thread, because they would be licking their chops. Apparently Kanyon=buyrates !

I like Kanyon. He has all the tools that make up a great worker. Unfourtunatly his last and possibly only great run was in WCW. He was great in WCW. He was great in the Jesse Ventura movie of the week (playing both himself AND Mortus in what was THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME - hint hint rd reynolds).

I totally forgot about the whole alliance MVP thing, thats how long its been since Kanyon mattered in WWE. I always thought they should have put him in the FBI, I think he could have helped get them over.

This will end up being better for Kanyon in the long run. Jarrett will actually use him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the next TNA show cutting a MONSTER shoot on the WWE. I just hope he doesn't burn the only bridge that matters in the biz, because I could see him back in titan land in the future.

Who betta than kanyon? Accroding to the WWE's train of thought Orlando Jordan, Billy Gunn, Scotty 2 Hotty, Bob Holly, Johnny the Bull....you get the point.

Tag team, possibly w/ O'Haire. The Raw tag scene is atrocious, and SD needs face teams. Both could benefit from some new blood.

Benoit getting a title shot = great. I'm a little cautious about how he'll be booked once/if he wins, though.

Eddy getting a title shot = great. I think he's got more of a chance to get a legit run, since he seems to be a good draw. Hopefully he won't be used to transition the title to Angle at WM.

Excuse me for building an emotional tie to certain wrestlers. In the future, I'll just be apathetic towards everyone, so I won't care who wins/loses/gets fired.

And don't blame *us* for the faults of the WWE. Don't blame *us* because the WWE can't spot talent, and wastes a good deal of talent they *do* have. Don't blame *us* for the bad decisions of the WWE.

You know what could make me happy? Logical storylines. Not insulting our intelligence. Good/great storylines with good/great buildups, and good/great payoffs. Talented guys getting a chance to show their stuff, not just in the ME, but asll over the card. Vince not keeping guys around just because they've always been there. Is that too much to ask?

I am ALREADY sick of the overly-blown hatred for Kanyon losing his job.

The guy was barely on television for the last two years. Yeah, that was largely because of injuries, but the guy was available and just wasn't used. That they've decided not to give him a new contract is just proof of how valuable WWE found Kanyon to be.

No offense to Kanyon, but I somehow doubt Vince McMahon was losing sleep over this decision.

Kanyon was okay, a decent worker with some potential, but the thing is... the guy was never popular! Not in WWE, not in WCW... not anywhere. The guy's biggest claim to fame was working behind the scenes for The Jesse Ventura Story and Ready To Rumble, two of the worst movies (wrestling or otherwise) in recent memory.

So WWE couldn't find a use for him.. does that make them morons? Not at all. I'm not saying that Kanyon should have been buried at the expense of guys like Ernest Miller and Hardcore Holly. I'm just saying that they couldn't find anything for him. It's the same thing with D-Lo Brown and others who have left, yet has TNA truly booked D-Lo any better? Not really. Raven is the one exception to that rule, where WWE had a sure thing with a popular, over guy and blew it... other than that, TNA is just taking their castoffs.

Like I said, this is in no way a knock at Kanyon. But people thinking that he's the greatest worker around, or anything like that, are not living in reality.

Spiff, that's all well and good. But-and I say this in all honesty, and not as an insult-I have NEVER seen a satisfied post out of you. NEVER. I'm sure there are some out there, I just haven't seen 'em. There is ALWAYS something, something that you dislike with a passion. In all seriousness....maybe you should just throw in the towel. You're asking for a company that fires on all cylinders, all of the time, utilising people that you specifically like. There seems to be no room for movement, no leeway with you. It's either your way, or it all fucking sucks.

"And don't blame *us* for the faults of the WWE. Don't blame *us* because the WWE can't spot talent, and wastes a good deal of talent they *do* have. Don't blame *us* for the bad decisions of the WWE."

Hey, maybe, just maybe if some folks trying to be a wee bit less negative in such blase fashion, then internet fans wouldn't be treated as such a joke fanbase by the company. Maybe if we actually admitted that there are other needs for a company rather than catering to us, maybe if we acknowledged that our views would not always consitute success, things might be different.

Maybe.

God, this annoys me. I like you-I like everyone around here, in some way or another. Hell, I AGREE with a shitload of the smarky stuff that gets said. But this craziness, this personal approach to everything WWE does, as if it's been orchestrated to sleight you, this mindless vitriol reserved for people whom you really know so little about...Man, it's draining.

Yes! Truly, in a supergroup like that, Kanyon's true talents will be used to the utmost!

Seriously, wherever he winds up, if he's getting regular work and paychecks, good on 'im. He doesn't seem like the type to squander the money he made while he was in the WWE, and he's still got plenty to contribute.

Hell, have him get involved with Raven again, that'd be killer.
