1. Akio beat Lamont 2. Paul London & Kidman beat FBI (Johnny & Nunzio) 3. A-Train beat Mr. Ass. This was bad. 4. Ultimo Dragon beat Shannon Mooore. Good match 5. Orlando Jordan beat Chuck Palumbo. "Worst match I ever seen," Craig said. FBI beat up Jordan afterwards. That was the big Velocity angle.
SD:
1. Rey Misterio beat Tajiri. Good match. Rey comes out with the boxer dude. Afterwards, Los Chavitos jump in and beat up Rey, then boxer dude goes hoss and KO's Chavo Sr. This was cool
Interview with Angle setting up the PPV. Talked about triple threat match, nothing much.
2. Danny Basham beat Scotty 2 Hotty with a cradle holding Doug's hands for leverage. Both partners were there as well. Shaniqua almost gets ass spot and falls out of her top. That will be edited out for sure.
3. Bradshaw beat Shelton Benjamin with the clothesline from hell in a pretty decent little match
Nidia and Jamie do an angle. She threw her mink coat into a wood chipper that she'd brought out. Yes, a huge woodchipper. "It was the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen." Jamie will be blindfolded in their match at the PPV. Oh, those blindfold matches are always great.
Angle was shown laid out backstage. They put him on a backboard and stretchered him out. Main was supposed to be Angle & Guerrero vs. Show & Lesnar.
Right after they showed him being laid out, there was a Mariachi band shown set up in the ring. Brock comes out with a sombrero, does a little Mexican dance, cuts a promo on Guerrero. Eddy comes out, they exchange words, talk about his drug abuse, the PPV, the belt, etc. During the promo, Eddy threw one of the Mariachi mics out of the ring and it accidentally hit a cameraman on the head and busted him open.
4. Rhyno DDQ Bob Holly. Horrid.
They showed footage of the Stacy/Jackie promo from Raw, so they'll be doing interpromotional at WrestleMania.
Brock and Show come out for the main. Eddy out in a lowrider, then Cena's music hits.
5. Eddy & Cena vs. Brock & Show. Heat on Cena FOREVER. Finally, Eddy is in the ring with Brock. Angle comes out, tattoos Cena and Show with a chair. Eddy low blows Lesnar, and hits him with the chain for the pin. Doesn't look good for Eddy winning the belt at the PPV.
Looks like it could be a good show. SD usually comes off better than the spoilers would indicate.
Knoble *blindfolded* for his "match" against Nidia? He's *SO* jobbing. So, so sad.
Bradshaw over Benjamin? What's the point? And why is Bradshaw the seemingly most protected guy in the company?
They showed footage of the Stacy/Jackie promo from Raw, so they'll be doing interpromotional at WrestleMania.
WONDERFUL It'll be interesting to see who doesn't get on the card, while this match does.
Did I miss any? Haas/Benjamin won an alleged #1 contenders match on Velocity, so maybe TWGTT vs. S2H/Rikishi match will be added. Or, if they ignore the Velocity match stips, maybe a triple threat or 4 corners tag match consisting of TWGTT, S2H/Rikishi, Bashams, FBI?
I was at the show last night and it wasn't too bad. Yeah, the Jordan/Palumbo match really sucked. Jordan was playing the "blown out knee" angle and went to the top and pretty much just flopped off the top, looking really stupid in the process. There were some good signs out there but unfortunately, I am behind one most of the night.
The arena was rather empty. Half was tarped off, the TV side only had the upper deck tarped off and the opposite end of the entrance had the middle and upper deck tarped off. Lots of military was there and lots of rowdy fans getting kicked out. Not a bad night over all, even with the occasional bad match or 2.
Spaceman: They seemingly ignored the stip for TWGTT. It looks like Rikishi & Scotty/Bashams for the PPV.

It was nice of the Observer to get Beavis and Butthead out of retirement to do this recap.
They have GOT to start getting more secured outfits for the women on the show. It has become a Janet Jackson dress-designer's show in the past few weeks.
I'd imagine a RHyno/Holly streetfight might be added too. It's got zero build-up, but I wouldn't abject to seeing these two whale away on each other in a hardcore environment.

One spoiler report I read stated that Faarooq was with Bradshaw ... if this is the case, I can tolerate Bradshaw a bit more ... as long as they do the whole backstage segments with the APA office ...
Brock? Mariachis? Brock AND Mariachis? Brock DANCING?! Nuff said, I'm taping this bad boy.
After a quarter of a century on this planet, there's three things I know for sure... 1)Ain't nothing like a Dirty Pair marathon on New Year's Eve. 2)I'd make a fine Mrs. HHH II. 3) I'd make an acceptable Mrs. Orton. 1400 reasons to luv me!
This is definitely one to be taped, if just for Brock. It's amazing how his mic skills have come along since he debuted. It does give me a headache, however, seeing Rikishi and Scotty and the Bashams in the tag title hunt while TWGTT are doing absolutely nothing, yet have more talent.

No thuganomics, though. Can't say I'm pleased with that, yo. :-(
Eh, anyhow, it's all good. I'm certain it'll be a decent show; I'll be watching it with friends, which will make it even more enjoyable.
I'm loving the Eddy/Brock thing; it looks really funny in the spoilers, and I'm certain its' gonna rawk on TV.
(edited by SOK on 11.2.04 1017) SD2: April, Year 3; what's the point to the Career mode, anyhow? FF7: Disc 1; 4h into game; en route to the next reactor FF8: Disc 2; 14h into game; Squall, Rinoa, Quistis vs. Master NORG.
Great way to get Brock over as a monster heel, having him wear a sombrero and dancing with a Mexican band. Next week WWE cross promotes with Toryumon as he dances with Los Salseros Japonaises. They should be building him as an unstoppable force for his matches with Guerrero and Goldberg, not this comedy garbage. Save that for Kurt Angle. ;)

lol, agreed.
The best reason to order No Way Out Sunday would be for the Brock/Eddie match...sadly, it almost seems like the only reason. I look forward to the match though, should be a good one plus with Goldberg in attendance and all. But Eddie gets the pin? uh-oh. Well we know how booking logic goes. But i'm gonna stay optimistic on this one. GO EDDIE!
I know a couple of those Velocity matches have to be dark matches, i'm hoping Kidman/London at least makes it to Velocity this week. Plus hey, Ultimo won, but it seems like the only person he can beat is Shannon Moore. Seriously, isn't this the 4th or 5th time they fought on Velocity?

The best line Billy Gunn ever had was during his second-most recent comeback, when he said that he expected to be the WWE champ in 6 months.

Great...WWE steals my gimmick.
{Sophia from The Golden Girls} Picture it...Green Bay, 2003. It's a hardcore match between two, uh, "paisans"...former tag partners, now feuding. I've already broken the camera's zoom feature from tripping backwards over the chair we used as ring steps (we needed the actual steps so the talent could come down from the entranceway stage), so I'm dollying in and out to get my angles. Right after the mandatory Barbra Streisand album spot, the heel grabs a pool cue to whack the babyface with. He cocks back to ready the blow...and smacks me right above my eye. {/Sophia}
Camera angle goes goofy and statics out...looked great on tape. I'm knocked legit goofy for a few seconds, and then manage to realize I'd better sell it for the rest of the match, lest I poop on the "hardcore action" in/out of the ring.
It actually earned me a little respect backstage...but I'd settle for a better camera. :)
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy.
