We're finally getting a WWE show here in Edmonton, and that's quite exciting. If I'm still here in April (I may return to Toronto; I'm not too sure), I might catch it.
My big beef is that the WWE seems to forget that we exist. Alberta is an amazing place for wrestling, and the crowds are always hot.
Heck, Chris Benoit is from Edmonton, and Lance Storm is from Calgary; wouldn't that warrant at least two or three trips here a year?
One could argue that Alberta is Canada's wrestling capital; why are we ignored?
Eh...I dunno. I can't seem to figure it out sometimes.
SD2: April, Year 3; what's the point to the Career mode, anyhow? FF7: Disc 1; 18h into game; At the old Mako Reactor outside Nimelheim (again). FF8: Disc 1; 1h into game; back at the beginning again
I'm flying out from Vancouver for this one...under the guise that I am going to visit my sister who just had a kid...I'm such a bitch...but damn this show is gonna kick nine kinds of ass!!!
Cheers,
Erin
Ummm...Backlash that is...although I suppose I could do both...hmmmm...the wheels are spinning now...any idea what the price for tix are going to be??

Rumour here (radicalwrestling.com) says that Calgary gets both Raw & SmackDown! You're getting inundated!
Raw & SD tickets are probably the same as you (Ta2grrl) paid for your house show. (Did you say that was $50CDN ?) PPV shows vary more by location, but I'd guess $85CDN-$95CDN for Backlash -- unless you really want the comemorative folding chair.
Go for the Trifecta! How often do you get that chance?! :-)

Oh hell...forget going to RAW...Backlash with Benoit and SD! with my guy Holly...
One of the best weeks of WWF TV I have ever seen was in 2001 when they had RAW in Calgary and SmackDown in Edmonton. The RAW show had a great Benoit vs. Austin WWF title match as the main event and then the SmackDown from Edmonton had an EVEN BETTER Benoit vs. Austin WWF Title match.
I went to RAW in 2001: Benoit vs. Austin made me cry tears of joy. I am SO going to RAW...maybe SmackDown, too. $100 for two nights of awesome wrestling is SO worth it.
FLAMES: 26-19-5-3 for 60 points LAST YEAR: 32-35-12-3 for 79 points PACE: 41-30-6-5 for 93 points
All Benoit fans have a reason to be giddy. With HBK's addition to this match is it believed that HBK has been inserted so HHH doesn't have to lose cleanly to Chris. Now Chris can just pin HBK and Benoit can win the title without the princess even losing.
Originally posted by Freeway420Click Here (TicketMaster.ca) for ticket info. Floor seats is $200. I'm gonna go to Raw & SmackDown, in that case...
Remember though, the $200 ones are the first couple of rows at ringside, where you get to keep the commemorative folding chair. The next price level down will be the about-$70, which is more reasonable. Personally, I tend to prefer the "lower level" rather than the floor -- that'd be like section 101 or 119 (whichever side the fixed camera isn't) -- the overall view of the show is better from there IMO.
I won't go to the show, but I'll be interested in seeing if Lance Storm gets to say he's from Calgary... Alberta, Canada. That pop might get him some future television time.
rest assured that if (when) Benoit doesn't win the title at WMXX, he will most likely get some form of a rematch with who ever DOES win at this PPV and if (when) Vince actually wants to do something the IWC wants to see, Benoit will win the title in Edmonton.
With rumours of Brett making an appearance at mania, these alberta shows could be VERY important in the big scheme of things...
Plus Scott Keith will get to go in person and trash the shows!
Well let's bring on some new faces! Introducing to Smackdown Live, Bobby Roode and Shelton Benjamin! Roode had a more-difficult-than-I-woulda-thought debut match against Aiden English (JBL even gets in a "beer money" joke)
