I have reached my ALL-TIME PERSONAL BEST of production of VOMITUS for one day. Don't expect any more ties this week; I'm actually taking sick leave because I'm SICK. I don't think that's happened since I had bronchitis!

Drink plenty of WATER. Stay away from anything with Caffiene and by all means, stay away from Gatorade! Hope you feel better!

Interesting. This advice would be directly contrary to what I would've said, as drinking water just makes me sicker, but Gatorade (and 7UP) usually settle ok.

I always thought you were supposed to sip ginger ale for nausea.

I think he's just trying to keep CRZ shacked up in bed so we don't have to gaze upon anymore ties for the week...Our eyes could use the rest, but then again, I can't seem to look away when they're posted...

Got to go with JayJay on this one - It's always been small sips of gatorade or pedialyte for my kids when they are booting - water always comes right back up

I've heard Gatorade and Ginger Ale helps control the upset stomach. That's what I drank when I was younger.

If it makes you feel any better, you ain't the only one...

Lucky me got a stomach virus that made me feel like Old Yeller when he got the hydraphobie. Man, it was brutal.

I suggest 2 memosas and a joint. Settles the nausea, replenishes the lost vitamins AND you'll feel better. Or at least you'll think you're feeling better. That's what counts!

Yeah, but then you're going to want to eat a box of Twinkies, Ho-Ho's or what not and you'll be back where you started.

Here in the "Dairy State" we've so far managed to avoid the the puking sick variety of illness, but strep is making the rounds...yippee.

Stupid question (from s stupid person, HAR-HAR): Does anyone else find it less painful when puking from drinking too much rather than puking from sickness? I know I do.

Deee-fine-ite-lee. That drunken "wake up in the morning with the liquor still sloshing in your stomach" sort of puking is usually just sort of an open the mouth and let fly thing for me. But stomach flu puking ends up leading to the dry heaves and strained muscles and things of that nature. So if CRZ gets drunk as hell, then it won't hurt at least :)

Ohhh let's not talk about this anymore, thanks.

For the record, it's been nothing but 7up and chicken broth. Yesterday I got REALLY crazy and added SALTINE CRACKERS! Today I'll probably step up to chicken NOODLE soup - and, if I'm REALLY crazy, back to TOP RAMEN! So far it's worked...I haven't ralfed since Tuesday morning, and if I HAD anything to poop, it would probably exit the right orifice.

On the down side, my voice is pretty much totally shot. (Some would say "on the plus side.")

Ginger Ale always works for me. Just carbonated enough to settle my stomach, without that bitter cola taste.
