Well, if you haven't seen this commercial on TV (like I just did) then you heard it here first: Joel Veitch from www.rathergood.com is now doing commercials for Quiznos subs.

Unless of course, you heard it somewhere else first.

Yeah, my girlfriend was like "WTF is that!" Then replied to her own question "that must be the guy that made that singing hedgehog video". WIerd, I am not repulsed by it. I think the "were you raised by wolves" comercial much funnier.
Wife and I saw the new ads. I am repulsed by the critters, but the whole song they were doing did make me laugh. The ad obviously succeeded as we both remembered the commercial and even more importantly, the sponsor.
Beautiful stuff. The original We Like The Moon song is a classic, and it's nice to see Veitch's stuff getting some national airplay.

I don't have a Quiznos or a Sonic or even a Blimpies food place anywhere near me. As odd as they are, the commercials make me want to find one and go there.
Quiznos is good (if a little pricey), and Blimpies is just as good as any Subway. Sonic, however, is a piece of crap. At least, all the ones in the Lynchburg, VA area are.

They're definitely "just above McDonalds" quality, but their willingness to cover pretty much anything on the menu with cholesterol nukes in the form of dodgy chili and American cheese then serve it to you with a gallon o' coke, makes the greasy burger lover in me give the thumbs up. Plus, where else you gonna go and get a foot-long chili dog?
Their drinks are where the real quality is. Sometimes I think that the food's just there to get people to buy a huge vanilla Dr. Pepper or shake-that-comes-in-twenty-flavors or whatever.

Blimpy far surpasses Subway IMO, and i'm a big fat guy, so I have authoritative veiws when it comes to submarine sandwiches.
I see Sonic commercials all the time thanks to Richmond stations, but there are none in my area. However, shout outs to Five Guys. I'm not so sure how big they are yet, but they're awesome.

Quiznos is the best and by far and away, Subway is mediocre at best. My wife loves Sonic by I think they are eh. Back in Akron there were two Sonic like places that were not chains, Swenson's and Skyway. They served great greasy hamburgers and onion rings. Anyone else out there have a good local drive in. They are a dying breed as the corporatizion of life continues.

There is a place called Arnies in my hometown that is more like a Dairy Queen, I guess. But you can get ice cream and fried foods, burgers and hot dogs. I don't know if they come to your car, but you can get out and eat outside. If a restaurant has a spinning stool to sit on, it can't be that bad! Plus, there are a few hot dog vendors in my area as well. You can get a chili and cheese, a root beer and a bag of chips for around three bucks.
I had no idea what those creatures were in the Quizno's ad either, but I liked the commercial anyway. Wife hated it.
I don't like Blimpie at all. I love Quizno's. And I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out exactly how Sonic got mentioned in a thread about non-burger sandwich chains.
Having said that, I swing through the Sonic drive-thru almost daily for a 44oz Lime Slush on the way to work (sipping one I picked up at lunch right now, actually). And their breakfast menu rules, IMO.
I have no idea what the "cheese sauce" Quizno's puts on its Philly Steak is supposed to be. It's not Whiz (ugh), it's not cheddar, it's not provolone... it's some kind of gooey alien life form.
Many of their other sandwiches and their Three Pepper Chili Sauce are pretty good, though.

I can't believe that no Cali peeps are responding to this thread. Therefore, I will do it for them.
When I lived in Cali, they had Togos, a Subway style place. The thing was that they put SO much stuff in their subs. They made Subway look like White Castle. When I visit California, I made it a point to go to Togos.
Quiznos is okay, but I would put them below Subway. And those ads...yuck.
Damn you WWE for making me change my sig. I'm sure you have good enough reasons to get rid of Shannon, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Let me thus be the first to say: BRING BACK DAFFNEY!
Togos is by far and away the best. Submarina is a second best. Subway is only good for it's calorie controlled portions.
Togos hot pastrami comes with between 6.7 and 7.5 oz. of Pastrami (and you should watch the guy weighing it and call him on it when he cheaps out on you, dammit). Get it with the honey dijon or regular mustard. It's got over 2500 of sodium though, and its like 1200 calories. But damn is it good.
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.

So they make subway look really good?
Oh did I mention I love White Castle

Oh how you taunt me, CajunMan. The local KFC closed because they're rebuilding the roads around it to put in a roundabout. Not driving 25 miles just to get a free piece of chicken.
