After two super bowl wins in three years I officially dont want to hear any Bostonians complaining when the Red Sox choke this summer.
Oh yeah and congrats to the patriots.

Tommorow! Tommorow! I love ya tommorow! You're only a day away!
Arizona Cardinals 0-0
AND THEN WE'RE GONNA GO TO TAMPA! AND INDY! AND NEW YORK! AND THEN WE'RE GONNA GO TO ST. LOUIS! AND PHILLY! AND THEN WE'RE GONNA GO TO HOUSTON AND TAKE BACK OUR HOUSE!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
What a great game. Well, the 2nd and 4th quarters at least. John Kasay should be released tomorrow for kicking that ball out of bounds. That just can't happen, especially in a closed-roof stadium with no wind. Oh well, at least the Super Bowl was competetive again. Congrats to New England.

"Huard, gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone...it is INTERCEPTED INTERCEPTED, THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35, the 40. Kenny Wheaton's gonna score! Kenny Wheaton is gonna score! 20, the 10, Touchdown! Kenny Wheaton on the interception, the most incredible finish to the football game!" www.eatmyassbeavernation.com

Fact of the matter is, he doesnt have them, and he doesnt put up HUGE numbers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No, but he WINS. And, as Mike & Tony will glady remind you, we play to win the game! All the other QBs you throw out there as being great have great numbers, but aside from Favre, who among them has won a Super Bowl with those great numbers? Did Donovan McNabb win a Super Bowl? Peyton Manning? Steve McNair? No, no and no.
Here's the bottom line: Tom Brady's going to go to Houston on February 1, go 20-35 for 270 with 2 TDs, and the Pats are going to win the Super Bowl. Again. It's as simple as that. And then Brady'll take his family to Disney Land, and then go home for the rest of the winter while Peyton Manning and Steve McNair can ruin their careers playing flag football on sand in Hawaii. Call it poetic justice for Robert Edwards.

Tom Brady makes so much out of so little. He leads the offense of the Patriots (averaging over 20 points per game) with no quality running backs and no receivers to speak of except Troy Brown, who has been hurt. If he had Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison instead of Kevin "Fumbles McCoughitup" Faulk and Bethel "The Fastest Man Alive" Johnson, he'd be breaking records.

To them, I say this: I will shut up about Tom Brady being the best quarterback in the league when he loses a big game. A playoff game. An overtime game. A game that the Patriots have to win.
I will shut up about Adam Vinatieri being the best kicker EVER when he misses a big kick in a big game. A playoff game. An overtime game. A game that the Patriots have to win.
Tom Brady has NEVER lost a playoff game, and he's going to his second Super Bowl. Name one other player, never mind QB, that has done that.
WE WIN!!!!!!
(edited by gugs on 1.2.04 2308) Damn that Triple H; damn him straight to Hell!
Brady still didnt put up great numbers but did put up the number that counted, the WIN. Congrats to the Pats.
BTW, why play for a tie? If you cant move the ball two yards, you dont deserve a title. Bad coaching decision, but, the pats made it irrelevant anyhow by owning the Panthers D in the final minute.

Brady's line 353 passing yards, he was 32 for 48 , threw 3TDs, 1INT, if those aren't great numbers in any game let alone the Super Bowl I'm begging you to tell me what are.
As a man who loathes the Patriots for some unknown reason, I congrats them on the win because that was a hell of a win.
I was really hoping for the Cats. I like the underdogs. In my opinion, Brady's great but I just can't cheer for him and the patrios, sure he has all the numbers but damn, I was so happy when Delhommes starting tossing throws of faith and bombs. T'was beautiful

Lucky for me, I didn't start listening to the game until midway through the second quarter. Just after the announcers hyped the record futility streak...the scoring began and the game got good.
The second half was intense, good football. Fun game to watch. And the halftime show...I started getting bored through midway...but as soon as Timberlake showed, I knew business was about to pick up.

This WHOLE game was a great game. The first half was good old fashion SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL. Both teams came out hitting. It was great. Then these team just decided to opening. Tom Brady showed tonight WHY he is the best player in the NFL right now. This guy just engineers TD drives.
Vinateri is and always will be a god in the New England from now on. Its unbelievable to me that even though he missed two in the beginning of a game I have no doubt that he was going to hit it
