Im pretty sure it has already came out but I havent heard anyone talk about it. I saw the match listing and it looks outstanding. For the people that have it I would like to know how it stands up to the Flair DVD. Its also weird that I havent seen any WWE advertising for it, maybe they were waiting for Foley to return?

WWE has been on such an awesome run since they released the HBK DVD, which they followed up with the Flair set and now Foley. The depth and overall presentation of Flair's collection is untouchable, but the Foley DVD is right behind it. No question. It may not have as much as Flair's but it's probably an even better run through of Foley's career than the Flair DVD is to his career. One intangible Foley has over almost any other future DVD set we'll see is that it is able to capture the essence of all three major organizations. Just for that alone, I'd say the Foley DVD is mandatory. But the matches on here are just top-notch and entertaining like all hell.
I REALLY enjoyed Mick's between match commentary and his running commentary with Coach on the bonus matches. I'm a sucker for Michaels, but this ranks right up there with that and the Flair one. It really is weird to listen now to how over Austin was then. It was just amazing.
I really forgot how short the Hell in a Cell was, but it's still my favorite match on there, but they're all fairly good. It should be in any wrestling fan's collection along with the afformentioned DVDs.
Wait a sec does the Michaels DVD have full matches on it? If so does anyone have a mtachlisting? I thought the HBK DVD wasnt nearly as long as Foley or Flairs.

Awesome DVD. I'd say it's right behind Ric Flair in the "Greatest Wrestling DVDs Ever" list.
One thing I'd like to see in future DVDs is more participant commentary. I REALLY loved Mick Foley's commentary on the Sting and Sabu matches, and would love to have heard his comments on the other matches on the DVD. Alternate commentary is something I think WWE should definitley put in consideration for the future.
Overall, this DVD is DEFINITLEY recommended. I don't care what your local videostore is asking for it. Pay it, get it, watch it, love it!
The Shawn Michaels DVD is two discs compared to Flair's three (I'm guessing Foley's is 3 also?) It does have full matches though. AWA Tag CHampionship Rockers vs. ?? don't remember who it was Intercontinental Ladder Match - HBK vs. Razor Ramon Iron Man Match - HBK vs. Bret Hart No Holds Barred - HBK vs. Diesel WWE Champinoship Match - HBK vs. Mankind HEll in a Cell - HBK vs. Undertaker Comeback Match - HBK vs. Triple H
Foley's had some very entertaining matches over the years but I can't say I'd put it in Flair and HBK's league. They are the two best performers ever in my opinion. I can't really decide if I'm going to get Foley's DVD or not. I've seen all the matches on the DVD, they'd be nice to have but not a necessity. But I might get it for the commentaries and extras and stuff.
Is it true that Austin is next to get the 3 disc treatment while Undertaker gets a 2 disc set? I'd like to add both of those to my collection as well.
According to a list that spread through the Internet late last year, the next one of these is supposed to be for Kurt Angle. (Which obviously won't be pulling in any other federation's footage, but should be a more than worthwhile purchase nonetheless.)

I heard that it would be Austin and then the Monday Night Wars. I don't think they're in any hurry to get an Angle DVD out when he's not done yet. (Yeah, Shawn isn't done either, but he's been around for long enough to get the "Legend" treatment and a DVD set).
I must say that the HBK, Flair, and Foley DVDs are all essential for any wrestling fan.
I haven't heard anything about an Austin or Undertaker DVD set other than their rerelease of a couple of old vids that they're throwing out for ten bucks a pop. I wonder how they'll do any future Austin sets only because he epitomizes the 'scratch logo' era. HBK missed it and Foley had many more memorable moments outside of '98-01, but with Austin it gets a bit trickier.
However, I did hear the Kurt Angle DVD set idea and that'll be worth the cash. It's the only reason I haven't bought the Rumble '03 DVD for his Benoit match yet, that and having to have Steiner vs HHH in my collection. Considering I was more into WCW at a time, the first couple years of Angle's career was a bit of a blur for me but at the very least I'm guessing on there will be: vs Benoit at Rumble '03, vs Lesnar Iron Man at Smackdown, vs Austin at SS '01, vs Stasiak debut match, one of the Benoit, Jericho combo matches, his KOTR and/or first title win, etc.
I also heard a John Cena DVD. Has this guy had a single memorable match yet? Ah, I'm thinking this will be more like one of those older documentary type WWE DVDs five years ago with a couple of matches tacked on. I'll skip this one.
I'd like to see an Austin 3 disc and UT 3 disc (if not only for the Skyscrapers footage). I'd also like to see a volume 2 for Flair though. He has way more matches I would love to see again.

I just got mine and so far it's excellent. The Vader match is so disturbingly grotesque in the sheer amount of times that Cactus lets Vader punch him in the nose.
Dynamite Kid breaking Foley's jaw is priceless because Foley describes what's going to happen and it's even more brutal when you see it. Also, Les Thronton is on the apron looking worried as fuck as the Bulldogs rip into Foley.
And that Candido Cheetos promo was something, wasn't it?
Dare I even float the concept of a Chris Benoit Best Of DVD? Plenty of good stuff from WCW, ECW and the WWF/E that could be included, though to be truly complete, WWE would have to obtain Stampede and Japan footage.
Edited because his name isn't Christ Benoit...I'm not that hardcore a fan.

MH: What’s a clever way to say that I have a penis? CJ: Uh…Mark, nobody’s going to buy that shirt. MH: How about if I say that I’ve got…a…uh…? CJ: Coming up with T-Shirt ideas is hard Mark, why not leave it to the WWE marketing department. MH: I know! I’ve got it! CJ: Got what? MH: Stank! That’s Mah Stank! I’m gonna make a fortune!! CJ: “That’s Mah Stank”? MH: On the front it’ll say “Can You Smell It?” and on the back it’ll say “That’s Mah Stank”. Everybody’ll buy it because they’ll think it’s a Rock shirt. CJ: You know…you might be on to something there, sad to say. MH: I can’t wait to show mah stank to Trish.
You know, I have a feeling that Spanky didn’t quit, he was fired. Why? So they could repackage Mark Henry as “Stanky.” Think about THAT! --Matt "Excalibur05" Hocking, 1/19/04 Raw Satire
WWE sux balls though, DVD's or not. More then half the footage ain't even theirs, they had to buy it from a company they put out of business, or shoudl I say companies and territories they killed, mainly through underhanded and dirty tricks, now they get to put that shit on DVD and sell it?
Whoever said life isn't fair was a WCW fan, probably.
And if you read "Sex, Lies, and Haedlocks", VKM gets his panties in a bunch when Turner buys WCW and starts to fuck him in the ass and basically claims that they are AFTER HIM, and that it is illegal for them to compete with him...?????? fucking pussy jack-off mother fucker
You know that whole Foley promo on RAW, about hate... abnout the dark places insideof us... well I know what he means when I see people like VKM succeed in life...

I wouldn't say WWF/E killed any of those companies, bad management and changing times did. Why would they have killed SMW when it was basically a WWF farm league? At least this way you are seeing footage, that otherwise, would soon be lost to history.
I like the DVD and at the same time I don't like it. Don't get me wrong its entertaining as hell, but I'm the type of guy who would rather buy 10 albums than greatest hits. But the extras kick ass, though I am disappointed they didn't do the entire Mankind /JR interview.
Funny though, behind the Austin/Dude Love match, and the HBK/Mankind, I'd have to say the Sting/Cactus match is my favorite. That match had a great flow, great transitions, damn that was a good match. Surprising as I never was a huge fan of Sting.
I've had no cable and no 'net for two days so I FINALLY got to watch good chunks of both Flair and Foley's DVDs. As much as I love the Nature Boy, Mick's may have been even more fun to sit through. Truly the most unique performer of our lives, and some of the ECW stuff is pure insanity (November to Remember match in particular).
I LOVED him putting over Sabu like he did. So few are willing to admit that despite him being known for his suicidal spots he really was a solid performer prior to the pain.
I've got a feeling that both the spot at the PPV where he asked for the second chair shot and the Monday promo were results of this DVD. It's like it reminded him of why he's so universally loved by everyone.

As a longtime Cactus fan, I thought this disc sucked and was lousy in presentation. If you are a fan of Foley, you should have both books, Three Faces of Foley, Hard Knocks / Cheap Pops and my favorite "Best of Cactus ECW". To me, no new ground was covered here. Why didn't they show the entire Vader series? Why didn't they show the UT series? Where in the hell was the Bolier Room Match and how many fucking times are they going to recycle the HBK match? Yes, it was good, but it's on every DVD they put out! Ditto the HHH Street fight.
Also, if you have read the books or watched the other DVDs, Foley tells the sames stories, the same way, with the same phrasing and the same punchlines. The only redeeming quality is Foley goofing on himself while doing commentary with Coach (who couldn't sound less interested and appears to be reading scripted questions).
What really pissed me off is the complete version of the Funk RAW match...I forgot how much Austin took away from that match with his nonsense. The clipped version is much better. And no, I didn't need the entire saga of Socko and escapades with Al Snow to remind me how much I despise the fact that Foley turned himself into a goof. At least he cut a brilliant promo on Orton to remind a hardcore Cactus fan that he can still be great when he wants to. Unfortunately, now he has to back it up in the ring...
One more thing - where the hell was his matches with Eddie Gilbert? They couldn't have cut the goofy shit to provide me with a quality DVD copy of that?

I'm with you there. Especially after watching the bottle spot with Sabu I was longing to see the first time it had happened. Definitely could've been a lot heavier on the ECW promos too.
