WrestleMania.com has Rock/Hogan listed first on the matches page, a spot that has been held by Jericho/HHH since the site went live. Y2J gets screwed at every turn. Hogan is a sumamabitch I tell ya.

Y2J, the Ricky Steamboat of the Attitude Era finally gets the respect he deserves. We're goin' to WrestleMania BABEE!!!

Damn glass ceilings. Jericho is the champ and he's still being held back. What a world we live in, I tell you this is a travesty of epic proportions.

The fact that they've been calling Rock/Hogan the main event the entire time isn't proof enough?

Actually, when the site went live the main was listed as Jericho/Stephanie, then Jericho/Angle, THEN HHH/Jericho, but, whatever.

ARGH! Don't TELL ME that they're re-arranging the order of the matches so they make sure the match showcasing the two biggest crossover acts in wrestling history are in the money slot of the evening! How is Chris Jericho going to sleep at night, knowing that his popularity isn't anywhere near that of Hulk Hogan or The Rock?!

It's a real shame us smarts aren't booking the WWF, ya know that. What a retard that Vince McMahon is.

How is this possible? Forget Jericho! How can bookerbabe Steph and mr.backstage power HHH live with this!
They rule the WWF and Vince obeys their every command, I was told! Does this mean Hogan is already in control and we will see Jimmy Hart, Beefcake and whoknowswhoelse do a run in at WM?

Seriously, it doesn't matter if it is the final match or the match before..THEY are fighting for the belt, still the biggest prize in the biz (no need to comment on it being tarnished and worthless) Rock vs Hogan is just for kicks/bragging rights..

On a side note, I have the gut feeling Chris might win it and get rid of Steph in the process. Though I don't mind if HHH wins it either.
HHH wins= as expected, big markout moment
Y2J wins= awesome upset, HUGe markout moment

dMp, you laugh now, but if we see the Nasty Boys, Brutus Beefcake, Jimmy Hart, Hacksaw Duggan, or any of Hogan's other cronies appear on tv, I will be expecting an apology from you, because it will all be YOUR fault for condoning it ;)

Jericho, the heel, wins the belt in the semi-main and Rock, the face, wins the main sending the fans home happy.

Ok, so here is what I think will happen at WM. Shawn will refer the HHH/Jericho match. This match will see the infamous double-turn. Y2J gets rid of Steph in the middle of the match, Shawn superkicks him, HHH pedigrees him and then 1,2,3. Canada crowd gets upset, espiecally when the NWO comes down and gives them shirts. Beatdown on Y2J.

Rock/Hogan is main event. Hogan kicks the crap out of Rock doing all the signature Hogan moves. Hogan leg drops Rock, Rock kicks up and starts kicking his ass. NWO does another run-in. Austin comes out to make the save, he gets his ass beat, then Benoit comes out. Canada crowd goes nuts. He beats the crap out of the NWO, Rock pins Hogan, then stares at HHH.

I think this would be the best option for the WWF booking team unless they want to do WM 2000 were almost all the heels go over and HHH will get heel heat against Y2J unless Chris cuts an unbelievable promo on Canada. I mean that promo has to cut Canada apart, but I don't think it will make sense since Jericho has made a few anti-American remarks since his turn.

A Fan- IF its Y2J/HHH for the belt as the main event, expect Austin and Rock to lose and HHH win.

May I just say that if the scenario A Fan describes came off with Benoit in the main event, a couple of things would happen IMO:

1) The Canadians would pop very very loud.
2) I would mark out more than I ever have in my life.
3) Scott Keith would die a happy man.
4) Satan would get his gloves and scarf out, since it'd be chilly in hell. I love the idea, but the day Benoit is the deciding factor in a WM main event, getting the better of the NWO and HHH, well, let's just all start getting right with whatever deity we choose.

I hate to break it to you spf112, but the WWF is probably going to use Benoit in some way. The scenerio could very well happen.

A Fan- Although, its fantasy booking, there is nothing really stopping the WWF from doing this.

Well I was being a little sarcastic with this earlier response, but in all seriousness Chris Jericho is the first ever undisputed champion. He has multiple wins over Rock and Steve Austin. No one ever expected him to be champion come wrestlemania, in fact I don't think anyone really expected him to even be the champ at all at this point in his career. But he is, and he's going to wrestlemania as the champ in a double main event. Playing second fiddle to Rock/Hogan really isn't anything to complain about. As cfgb put it, Hogan and Rock are the two biggest cross over stars in wrestling history. Rock v. Hogan is the money match and it should be the main event. There shouldn't even be a debate.

Fan, I would not be at all surprised to see Benoit appear at WM. However, I would be stunned beyond all words if they had Chris Benoit decide the WWF title match at Wrestlemania. I'm guessing they do something in the middle of the show where they bring him out, he tells the fans he's rehabbing hard and looking forward to being back soon. But hey, I'd love it if they went with your scenario.

In my opinion Benoit has no chance to run in during the Rock/Hogan main event. Benoit said himself that it will be more than a month after Wrestlemania before he is ready to go. I think Hall is going to beat Austin, Rock will have his hands full with the nWo, Austin will save, Rock will win and that will be it. I don't doubt that we will see Benoit, but it's not going to be anywhere near the main event.

We all know they'll be a Hacksaw run-in to save Rocky, but then, he turns, beats down Rocky, Hogan rips off the NwO stuff for the Gold & Red, they beat up nash&hall, Beefcake comes in through the crowd, the rest of the promotion, now all turned heel (except Austin) run out, and Hulkster leg drops them all......
OH, God, I hope I'm joking...

Insert clever comment.

No no no no. What will happen is that Bret Hart and Chris Benoit come in unscheduled, and beats up all of them: Rock, Austin, nWo, Flair, Undertaker, Trips, Y2J, and Vince McMahon. Then he takes the mike and shouts, "What you have been watching is all crap!! So we decided to end it!!!!". Then Hart spits on Vince's carcass, and Benoit does the snot of Doom. Hart then take Stephanie out with him, saying "Come on baby, let me how you why I'm the best there was, the best there is and the best there will ever be", all the while Benoit is applauding all this.

Let's go back a little over 2 1/2 years ago for a moment:

"What was once a captivating, trendsetting program, has now deteriorated into a cliched--let's be honest--BORING SNOOZEFEST that is in dire need of a knight in shining armour!..........And I know why you're silent! You're silent because you're embarassed to be here! And quite honestly, I'm embarassed for you! And the reason why you're embarrassed is because of the steady stream of uninteresting, untalented, mediocre 'sports entertainers' where you're forced to cheer for and care for--no wonder you're not cheering! You could care less about every single idiot in that dressing room....."
(Chris Jericho, RAW IS WAR 8/9/99)

Good lawdy, it's "deja vu all over again"!!!

The Undisputed Champion is being overshadowed by the domestic travails of his silicone stuffed shrieking harpie of a "business partner" and her soon to be "ex-husband"!! I'm a huge Jericho mark but for the past two weeks, I can't flip the channel fast enough just to get away from the voice that makes dogs commit suicide!!

I really would like to see things from the point of view of the booking/writing team but damn, I just can't stick my head that far up my ass!
