Incredible Idea or a Lame Idea?

BRING BACK the rock full time, and recreate either the corporation/DX or stay with me on this one
BRING Back Nash,Hall,Buff, Norton,Xpac,Steiner, and few other guys i cannt remember and also Stinger and Lex and recreate the whole nwo experience one more time, but this time without adding guys like HBK to the NWO cause that's just like my idea, is pretty lame. Anyway's bringing the NWO and all those guys could really bring up the product.
ALSO getting rid some of the show writers and giving guys like Heiman more creative control + bringing Rosso back to raw as a writer wouldn't hurt. In fact he could be the next Gm, while Bishoff rejoins the NWO (WITHOUT Hollywood).
Also bringing Bret back to a final match against Vince wouldn't hurt either. (I know that a lot of young guys will be ignored yet, the product and rating will go up, plus we could finally see matches like buff against RVD or Cena against Hall, it could also work to benefit the younger guys so they can get a little push by fighting with the NWO ((just like stinger)).)
Lets say the do the NWO angel for 1 year, already it will bring back alot of wcw fans who stopped watching, and wwf fans who stopped watching, thus giving WWE a new and fresh chance to start all over with a bigger crowed.

Some of this isn't a bad idea, but there are some definate problems with it. The first one being that the Rock doesn't WANT to come back fulltime. I'm sure if they had the choice, they would take him back in a second, but he's making too much making movies.

Getting all the WCW guys back together could turn out to be as disasterous as the last time they got all the WCW guys back together. Guys were let go for drinking problems, for their mom's calling in sick for them, for thinking "easy money" and dogging it during matches. Plus, with age comes injury, and that also means that the guys you'd be bringing back wouldn't even want to wrestle due to the fact that each match could cripple them.

plus we could finally see matches like buff against RVD or Cena against Hall

Besides, is anyone even thinking about these matches, much less caring about them or waiting for them?

Also, brining back old fans with old stars causes the problem that they are ONLY watching to see their favorites who are back on tv. What happens when they see how horrible Nash and Hall are now? The last impression the fans had with these guys was that they were all cooler than they are now. You throw these guys all over the TV for a year, and not only do you embarass-away the fans you tried to bring in, but you bore to death the ones that you had.

As for your idea, the nostalgia thing has already been tried. And although I don't have anything against older guys, I think the best idea right now would be to stay away from any more things that have already failed.

i agree 100% with what u guys said, yet, Hall was always a train rack and so were the other guys but it were the wcw writers that made them look cool + i`m positive that VINCE can control all the ego, if not he will fire them within a sec and they know it. Plus, they can do the NWO thing only for a year, and the reason it ddint work the 1st time cause it sucked it was a lame ass attempt by vince to recreate nwo. Im talking about the whole packge even bringing Norton from Japan and gettin bishoof back with them, plus gettin Rosso as a new GM. Now tell me that u would watch Austin, sting, hhh and ect beef with the Original NWO as it was in 1996/7, if u bring the right writers and you get all the nwo guys in line it could work out pretty well.

YES X-PAC!!!

Anyway, good ideas but I just hate it when a company is so desperate for ideas they go backwards. WWE needs NEW ideas. If they just start bringing back old ideas and angles it will just show WWE doesn't have anything new to bring to the table.

Here is the problem. Bret CAN'T wrestle anymore. He cannot wrestle Vince, Shane, Austin, HBK, Rock, Benoit, etc...His body just can't do it.

For a company that's losing money, spending a few dozens of millions on faded stars is an absolutely absurd idea. They tried it with Hogan and it worked because everyone loves Hulk Hogan, or at least recognizes him outside of wrestling. The Rock is basically on the same level as Hogan, too. Steiner didn't work. Nash didn't work. X-Pac has NEVER worked. Buff stunk up Tacoma and nearly tanked the InVasion before it began. Hall's broken down. Bret's probably STILL got post-concussion syndrome. Norton isn't a draw at all.

Let's put it this way: The same people who watched WCW are not, for the most part, the same people who watched the WWF in it's heyday. There's a bit of an overlap, but there was usually a distinction between the two groups. It's stupid to bring back the guys one group watched a lot...6 or 7 years ago with the faint hope that throwing them out on screen will help things.

I really fucking despise threads like this.

Keep your crappy ideas to yourself, or send them to the Torch, they'll put anything on there.

Hmmm I agree with the people saying "something new", I don't wanna see old stuff like Austin on a vehicle of some sort(Although there is a certain comical elderly hoverround/jazzy feel to the atv).

I must go look at this "torch".

i dont know i guess i just miss the ol`days of hte NWO (i could really see it, Vince make s Bishoof kiss his ass to keep his job cuz raw stinks and Eric gets mad and brings the band back together to eridcate wwe o`l school style), anyways wwe is going down big time. So ok forget about the nwo at least fire the shitty writers and bring back Rosso as the main writer and give heyman the control over the creative team.

No, no, no, no, no. NO MORE NWO. The reason it worked in WCW is because people really THOUGHT the NWO was invading. There is no way that would work now. Vince would NEVER let the NWO get the upper hand against the WWE, which is why the WCW Invasion angle sucked. Recycling ideas is not the way to go. WWE needs to come up with something new, and fresh. The NWO was new, and fresh at the time. It's been replayed over SO many times, it won't have the same effect.

Signing all those NWO guys wouldn't be worth it. You'd be shelling out big bucks for guys that are either over the hill (Luger, Norton, Steiner) or were headaches backstage (Hall, Bagwell). It wouldn't "bring up the producet"- it would seem like a cheap ripoff of what we've already seen before.

As for replacing the writers....I'd like to see Heyman back too. But he's not a yes-man to Vince like the writers are now. Plus, I don't see him and Russo working under Princess Stephanie. Russo has already showed that he has no understanding for what his fans want...just look at his run in WCW.

I saw Luger at the TNA show a few months back ... trust me, I don't want to see him on WWE programming anytime soon.

#1 I stopped watching TNA due to Luger. I just started again tonight. Dear God in Heaven it was awesome. But if Lex came back, I would stop.

#2 The last thing we need is to bring back anybody who can no longer wrestle. Or who never could.

#3 I can think of nothing I would like better than to see Bret Hart in any capacity. But I also want him to stay alive.

Isn't the "writers" and the "creative team" the same thing? If so, then you just gave Russo and Heyman the same job. If I'm wrong, which I usually am, reply me to hell.

The problem with the original idea is that nobody cares anymore about the NWO. As long as they are recycling ideas every 3 months they will never recapture the interest of the casual fan which they had 3 or 4 years ago. Vince needs some more breakout stars like the Rock and Austin to get the casual viewer interested again. Stars that can crossover into other areas of entertainment and bring much needed good press that creates interest in the product.

Please dear God, NO MORE recreating old angles/stables.

DX is DONE. The envelope has been pushed so far there's no where left to go. Let it go.

Buff vs. RVD . . . the match I know I've been just *DYING* to see.

The nWo is the worst possible thing to bring back now. All the invasion/split company stuff was played out 5 years ago and has been recreated and reanimated over and over since.

Your whole idea basically involves resetting the calander back to 1998. A complete white flag. This is, IMHO, the worst case scenario.

If you miss the attitude era, please purchase a DVD or two. That's what they are for.
