The quote was:

"Dad, you just killed the zombie Flanders!"
"He was a zombie?"

Then there's this on from the episode Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious.

Homer: Question two. Who was your last employer?
Shary: Lord and Lady Huffington of Sussex.
Homer: [whispering] Marge, do we know them?
Marge: No.
Homer: Come on! Isn't he the guy I bowl with? The black guy.
Marge: That's Carl.
Homer: Oh yeah! [back to Shary] So! You worked for Carl, eh?

My favorite moment is when Homer looked at his hand and had written:
Lenny = white
Carl = black

Now that's a classic line.. I was just going to add that one myself, but I guess you beat me to it. OK, how about this one...

Homer:"I saw this once in a movie about that had to speed around the city, keeping it's speed over 50 and if it slowed down, it'd explode. I think it was called, the bus that couldn't slow down."

"And when the Doctor said I didn't have worms anymore- that was the happiest day of my life!"- Ralph Wiggum

Any episode with the Comic Book Shop guy I love. The episdoe where they went to the Comic Book convention was priceless.

Miss Hoover's follow up -- "Thank you, Ralph. Very graphic." just seals the comedy in that one.

Do you mean the Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con with Mark Hamill? "Plus a tag team main event featuring the cool robots from Battlestar Galactica versus the Gay Robots from Star Wars!"

My favourite Simpson's moment, and what cements the sheer brilliance of the show for me was the "Plow King" episode when they're at the car show and Homer points out Adam West and says "Look kids, Batman!"

Bart and Lisa shrug it off and West goes on this weird little rant about how children of today are only familiar with the (then) Michael Keaton Batman and Michelle Pfieffer as Catwoman. Then he says the only Catwoman for him was Julie Newmar, or Ertha Kitt or (the other lady that played her on the tv series). The brilliant part is that while he's off in his own little world saying this, the screen tilts, ever so slightly in a nod to the way the screen slanted on the old tv series at times. Too cool.

Of course, just about any Homer moment does it for me too.

To follow this up, West then says, "And how come Batman doesn't dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?" Then does this weird dance breathing real loud while Homer, Bart, and Lisa stared. "Nice meeting you." Homer says and they walk away when Homer says, "Just keep walking no eye contact." Classic

My favorite comic guy moment is from the Omega man episode. He is discussing Aquaman -- "How can you marry her, when she has no gills?" Then the nuclear missile is just about to hit him and he dead-pans "Oh, I've wasted my life."

My favorite Simpsons moment came from the Stonecutters episode (as transcribed at snpp.com)...

Number One: You are the Chosen One whom the sacred parchment prophesied would lead us to glory! Now to the top of Mount Springfield for the coronation! Remove the Shone of Shame.

Homer: Woo hoo!

Number One: Attach the Stone of Triumph!

Homer: B'oh!

Classic...

A few off the top of my head:

Homer - "Don't you hate pants?!"

Homer - "What's the matter, Moe?"
Moe - "Oh, business is slow. People today are healthier and drinking less. You know, if it wasn't for the junior high school next door, no one would even use the cigarette machine."

Moe - "Gin and... tonic? Do they mix?"

Barney - "David Crosby? You're my hero!"
David Crosby - "Oh, you like my music?"
Barney - "You're a musician?"

Movie guy - "All right, we have $30 million to spend.
Mayor Quimby - "We'll blow up our dams, destroy forests, anything! If there's a species of animal that's causing problems nosing around your camera, we'll have it wiped out!"

Homer - "Come on, guys! Let's be the team that supports each other. You can do it, Otto! You can do it, Otto! Help each other out: that'll be our motto! You can do it, Otto! You can do it, Otto!"
Apu - "Make this spare; I'll give you free gelato!"
Moe - "Then back to my place, where I will get you blotto!"
Homer - "Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto!"

"You can do it Homer! You can do it Homer! Pretend this is baseball and hit us a homer!"

and don't ask me who i am...cause you don't want to know...
don't ask me who i am...just sit back and watch the show..."

Without a doubt one of my fave moments is on the Super Dog episode when they catch the blind guy with pot. Then Chief Wiggum and the guys stay in the house and they bring some hookers with Bob Marley on the background as the show fades to end.

Simpsons, pot, Bob Marley and hookers...life doesn't get any better than that

In "Treehouse of Horror XI (or XII), one of the dolphins walks into a beach-volley net and says something like :"we're doomed , they've got nets" and the leader just walks over and slaps him! funniest thing I've ever seen.

And the lie detector blowing up in the X-files episode

Homer: There's your giraffe, little girl.
Ralph: I'm a boy!
Homer: That's the spirit. Never give up.

Yeah, I'm not saying it's too hard. I'm saying if you are still running 98 SE at this point in time, you probably aren't the target audience for Gentoo. The board is running Debian.
