X-E's co-Worst Poster of all time! JKyle.com says:

Someone has asked for me to make a CD of love hip hop style so they can give it to that someone special.

Now, I agreed before realizing most of my rap collection is more the opposite.

I have the following songs

Put My Mouth on You (Obie Trice & Eminem)
All I Need (Mary J. Blidge & Method Man)

And now I'm out of ideas...

Help?

(NO JA RULE! And if you know of any Pharoah Monch... say em!)

"Bonita Applebaum" - A Tribe Called Quest

"I Need Love" - LL Cool J

"Come Close" - Common

"The Light" - Common

That's all I can come up with off the top of my head, first thing in the morning.

If you're *really* stuck you can do a watered down retelling of "I Need Love". I speak of course, of "I Love You" by Vanilla Ice.

But you should definitely get "What's On Your Mind" by Eric B. and Rakim. By that I mean, you should go buy the CD, 'Don't Sweat the Technique'. If you don't have Eric B and Rakim in your collection, you can't call yourself a hip hop fan.

Would Keith Sweat's "Twisted" and "Keep it Comin'" (not the '92 USA Basketball Dream Team remix) count?

Several songs off of Andre 3000's half of the last Outkast album.

Rob asks Dave and Ric if they want to go backstage to play Hungry Hungry Hippos and Flair and Batista immediately bail. Flair wants to be Green. Man, EVERYBODY wants to be green. Except the girl in the commercials. She wanted to be pink. That either means that the ad agency was sexist or that she was communist. Of course Hungry Hungry Hippos is a rather capitalist game isn’t it? No self respecting communist would play Hungry Hungry Hippos. Except Stalin. He LOVED Hungry Hungry Hippos. God, I’ve got no clue what the hell I’m rambling about anymore.-- Matt "Excalibur05" Hocking, Raw Satire writer extraordinaire

You know, I just can't call it the "WWE." I just can't. My body's rejecting it like a bad liver transplant.-- Bill Simmons, espn.com/page2

If you're feelin thugged out, Biggie's "Me and My Bitch" is a good one. For the less gangsta atmosphere, go with Jay-Z and Foxy Brown's "Sunshine" off of the In My Lifetime Volume 1 album.

Completely agree on Common...great hip hop songs...The Light has to be one of the best songs ever!

I would also include...
Angie Stone-Wish I didn't miss you...more R&B than hip hop but awesome song.
Love of my life (Ode to Hip Hop) - Erykah Badu
Nuthin Matters - Lauryn Hill feat. D'Angelo
I Gotta A Love - Pete Rock and CL Smooth
Love Poems - Bilal (highly recommended)
Keeping with the Common theme...All night long feat Erykah Badu
And from Pharoah Monch...a song also called The Light from the Internal Affairs album

Hope you find something you like from here...

Gangsta Boogie and Gangster of Love by Geto Boys. Ummm..... Face Down, Ass Up by 2 Live Crew is always good for the ladies. To be honest though, some of the NERD stuff, like maybe Tape You or Brain could fit.

Best rap love song ever--"One Love" by Whodini. I can even send am mp3 if need be.

"Dilemma" by Nelly is not a bad idea if you want to put on something that's more well-known.

Oh yeah. Nothin' says lovin' like Ak.

With songs like "Put it in my Mouth" and "Lick my Dick"... oh man, I gotta call my girlfriend now...

Uh, no, that's for a mix CD some girl would make their freshman year of college. (Really, if you hadn't been to my school, you could easily tell which buildings were freshman dorms because they'd ALWAYS be blasting "Put It In Your Mouth". And they say they aren't sluts because they sometimes dress casually.)

But in the name of ultra-commercialism, I say "Beautiful" by Snoop y Pharrell.

Easy....

"Have You Seen Her" from MC Hammer...it's not a "love song" per say, but it's a decent track.

Oh, I've got Love Is Hell. Terrific album. He's released nine albums over the last ten years, with two more scheduled to come out in 2005. That kind of (consistently great)
