I was watching "Family Matters" on ABC Family, and it was the episode where Carl and Urkel fought the Bushwhackers.
In case you haven't seen it (which, since it's "Family Matters", you probably haven't), Urkel accidentally gave a team called "The Psycho Twins" sleepy juice, which caused them to miss their scheduled match Carl and Urkel took over as the "Psycho Twins" fighting Luke and Butch. Carl executed a nice hammerlock and Urkel had a couple nice hip-tosses in the match. Urkel, however, told the Bushwhackers that Carl was a cop, and the 'whackers revealed that they hated cops. After a ref bump (Yes, a ref bump on "Family Matters"!), Eddie and Waldo came in to assist the Twins, and all hell broke loose with the fans, causing a no-contest.
That match rivaled Vader v.s Cory on "Boy Meets World" for best wrestling match on a sitcom, IMO
Just thought I'd share that since I thought it was pretty funny....I always liked when wrestlers appeared on sitcoms and such to wrestle. Anybody else have any favorite wrestling moments from other television shows?
Anybody else remember "Learning the Ropes" with Lyle Alzado as a teacher and father by day and masked NWA wrestler by night? It had all sorts of cameos of wrestlers in the NWA at the time, such as Ric Flair and The Road Warriors. I think it aired on ESPN, but I could be wrong about that one. What a great/crappy show that was.

I remember Learning The Ropes quite well. We got it Friday nights on CTV (a national TV network), I believe. Dusty Rhodes, Rock n Roll Express, Ric Flair, Ivan Koloff -- none of them could act if their lives depended on it. And the 'regular' actors on the show were even worse. Pathetic!
Anyways, here's some other sitcom crossovers I could think of:
- Hulk Hogan on Suddenly Susan - Triple H on The Drew Carey Show - Captain Lou Albano on 227 - The Rock, Ken Shamrock and The Hardy Boyz on That 70's Show - George The Animal Steele on The Odd Couple (I believe; never saw it or anything) - Classy Freddie Blassie on The Dick Van Dyke Show
And everybody's favorite... King Kong Bundy on Married With Children!!!
Did anyone else see that show niki on wb? Nikki cox's husband on the show was a wrestler, everyonce in a while they would get a real star on there. Randy Savage was on there, to plug his awsome rap cd and that little film called spiderman. Kevin nash was also on there calling himself, the big easy, the best part, he played a gay guy. I was so impressed to see Nashole release his true feelings! I knew it all along!
Wait just a darned minute. Vader didn't wrestle against Cory Matthews on Boy Meets World, as it turned out, Vader was the character Frankie's dad, and Cory and Shawn helped manage Vader against Jake 'The Snake' Roberts to earn a WWF title shot.
After some of the show's typical wacky action involving Cory darting back and forth between the match and his date with Topanga, Vader did eventually win his match.
Randy Savage played Space Ghost's dad or grandfather on an episode of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. That was pretty funny. 'Haystacks Calhoun was one mountain of a man!'
I think he died after Zorak hit him with a chair.
edit: Looks like I was wrong about Vader only making one appearance on Boy Meets World. Oops, sorry for sounding like a know-it-all jerk!
Anybody remember Mick Foley on G vs. E? Some wrestler got screwed by a promotor in his retirement match and made a deal with Satan to get super wrestling skills, only to be defeated by the power of Socko, I think.
(edited by Mack Salmon on 9.1.04 1744) This will get added at the end of each post you make, below an horizontal line. This should preferably be kept to a small enough size.

True story.
Bundy was working an indy show in the area. I went, and waited until Bundy had his opponent in a resthold. (I think it was Tito Santana, but can't recall). So, I fed him one of the lines from his MwC appearance.
"Uncle Irwin. Are you gonna stick your head in the salad bar again?"
Without hesitation, he looked around, and responded "If you're good!"
As for the worst I can recall, RVD on City Guys would be my pick.

Actually, he took off with this one eyed alien space ship. But did it under the guise of kicking its ass, but in reality was just trying to get away from Tad. But he did eat a chair shot from Zorak. He even makes mention that Elizabeth is his true love....Very odd....
But let's not forget Savage's best wrestling appearance, on Dial M for Monkey, where he played Wrasslor! And beat the crap out of the Justice Friends and even Monkey.
(edited by ThreepMe on 8.1.04 1309) I would like to congatulate Al Snow on his contact with La-Z-Boy. Because we all know Al doesn't sell chairs. - Mick Foley

There was another episode where Frankie's dad (Vader) fought Cory in the school gym in a ring. Mr. Feeney put a stop to the match, however. Yasmine Bleeth was in that episode too. That's the episode I was talking about.
wow, that's so funny! I saw both the episode of family matters featuring the bushwhackers, as well as the episode of boy meets world featuring Vader wrestling cory, as mentioned in the first post in this thread! Both were great.
I've also seen Chyna on an episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun.
And I've been told that Bret Hart was on Mad TV.. maybe a few other wrestlers were as well--

I think Bret was on the time he beat up Will Sasso, then Sasso showed up on WCW, and him and Bret had a tiny feud, which I think Sasso's Mad TV partner Debra Wilson, turned on Sasso and helped Bret win. I found their feud funny, not David Arquette sad funny but actually really entertaining.
I also think another time Bret came on, he and I think Sasso again continued their feud where they had an arm wrestling match which Bret cheated and won or something which brought out Piper to help Sasso.
And also on Mad TV, I think David Arquette was on (damn, what was Mad TV a WCW show?) and was doing a masked wrestler promo which brought out Sting and I think he beat up Arquette.
One more, Mad TV, not too long ago Triple H was on. I think he was kinda funny but for some reason I cannot remember most of it.

"Randy Savage played Space Ghost's dad or grandfather on an episode of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. That was pretty funny. 'Haystacks Calhoun was one mountain of a man!'"
Space Ghost: (invisos in) Greetings, citizens! I'm Space Ghost. What do you get when you cross a zombie with a raven? A very dead bird.
Grandpa Ghostal: (in the wings) Yes sir! Dead as a doornail! That is what ya get, yeah!
Zorak: Who's the geezer?
Space Ghost: Also visiting tonight is my granddad, all the way from Boca Raton.
Grandpa Ghostal: The Sunshine State, ooooh yeah!
Zorak: Sounds like Randy Savage.
Space Ghost: Well, it's not, Zorak, it's my granddad, okay? So you can just shut up about that, Zorak.
Grandpa Ghostal: Ooooh yeah, you tell him, Taddy!
(later)
Zorak: You're shooting blanks, Grandpa!
Grandpa Ghostal: Shut your pie hole! Why, twenty years ago I woulda put your head in a half nelson, twisted it around, saying each letter of the alphabet on every turn, and then when I reached the first letter of my true love's name --- that would be the lovely Elizabeth --- I would yank your head clean off and roll it down the pike like a bowling ball! Oooh yeah!
And, of course, there was once an appearance by future Governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura on the single greatest television show in the history of Earth - "Small Wonder". I seem to recall that he played a professional wrestler who used to date the mother in high school. And then the little girl robot beat him up. That show was art.

THE 2003 FUZZIES! Vote now in the only awards that matter! They're cooler than being cool!
Speaking of Married...With Children, don't forget the GLOW episode where Al faced Big Bad Mama. Don't you forget it!
And I really must see that Savage on Space Ghost episode. Is it on the DVD mayhaps?
Damn you WWE for making me change my sig. I'm sure you have good enough reasons to get rid of Shannon, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Let me thus be the first to say: BRING BACK DAFFNEY!
Yep, I've seen the Vader vs Cory AND Vader vs Jake Roberts episodes. I love that show. Supposedly, Foley was on there as well. The writers must have been huge wrestling fans.

Yeah, Foley was there to ref a fight between Eric and Jack v.s the girls in the guys dorm....for some reason....haven't seen that episode in a while, so the details escape me.
Triple H played a nerdy guy who was in the highschool wrestling team, who had to face the other team's top guy, played by Bobby Lee.
Austin was also on, as an excercise machine salesman, while Will Sasso played Austin, and kept giving him the usual "What? WHAT?" as Austin was trying to shill his machine.
At least have him wrestle on a regular basis or advance the feud in an interesting way, like erhm..confrontations with the oponent. You don't see John Cena do some skits backstage and then leave.
