I got an issue of Game Informer this week with a HUGE ad for this game, and it looked really, really awesome, but I actually haven't heard a thing about it. I assumed it must be coming out next year, then I go to the store and it's in the display case. I have some Christmas jack and was wondering if it's worth buying.

Gamespot says it's the best plot of the year. I couldn't tell you anything else about it though. Might be worth a rent to find out.

I can't say I've followed its development much or have much interest in it myself, but following are some reviews (all for the Gamecube version, for consistency).:

Shacknews readers have rated the game exceptional. (shacknews.com)

Gamespy gave it a 4/5. (gamespy.com)

1Up gave it a 7.5 (out of 10). (1up.com)

The aformentioned Gamespot gave it an 8.3 (also out of 10). (gamespot.com)

GameTab readers have rated it a 90%. (gametab.com)

X-Play rated the PS2 version a 4/5. (techtv.com)

Seems like its gotten good reviews, so it may be worth purchasing.

I have the PS2 version, and I believe it's a very well-made game. Sometimes the stealth elements can be frustrating, and it doesn't maintain a constant 60 FPS (typically opting to run at 30, but it doesn't detract from the gameplay) But all in all, an enjoyable game with a well written story, and unlike anything else I've played in a while. (but then, I'm not a Gamecube owner, and therefore haven't played Zelda, which people seem to like to compare BG&E to. I'm somehow thinking that's like comparing apples and oranges, though.)

I have it for xbox....
I like it a whole lot....It's like zelda crossed with splinter cell...with better voice actors. And it's one of those games that when you beat it..you still want to play. Your not just beating it to get it out of your way.

Graphics are very good too considering all 3 systems versions look about the same.

[quote Whitebacon All you'd need is a PS2...unless it's your internet connection that is screwed up. I have the PC version.
