A pretty good one, too ... It mostly focuses on his character appearing in the "Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain" video game, but there was this little nugget of information that I was unaware of :
IGN Sports: What were some of the most memorable things you made people do for money back in the day? Was it tough to keep a straight face?
Ted DiBiase: Oh yeah, I had a lot of fun with that. The one I get asked about the most, without fail, someone always says to me "Remember when you had the little boy dribble the basketball, and you were going to give him the money, but right before he got to 15, you kicked the ball." I mean, oh man, people just hated my guts for that one. They used to yell "You horrible, horrible man!" That was probably the number one of all time. Of course, the reality is, the kid got the money. It was a stunt that was prearranged. What's really funny is often times I think about that kid. I wonder how old he is today. One day I think he's going to walk up to me and say "Remember me?" He's probably like 6-8. [laughs] One of the other ones, and I don't remember if this was televised or if it was for a house show, but I wrestled a match for about 20 minutes, then I had a kid come into the ring and I took off my boot and sweaty sock, then had this kid kiss my feet. Here's the catcher though, that kid was Rob Van Dam. The kid who kissed the Million Dollar Man's feet grew up to be a wrestler.
If I'm not mistaken, that is actually available as an extra on one of the Before They Were Superstars DVDs.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are built for the playoffs. Of course they are. What Leafs fans don't realize, though, is "built for the playoffs" is just GM-speak for "short on skill, kinda slow, and can't score over an 80 game season".
Gotta love Dibiase.....he always seems like one of the real classy guys in wrestling. I've never read a bad interview with him, aside from some of the stuff he says about WWE being immoral (which, in fairness, a lot of the time it is).
Rob asks Dave and Ric if they want to go backstage to play Hungry Hungry Hippos and Flair and Batista immediately bail. Flair wants to be Green. Man, EVERYBODY wants to be green. Except the girl in the commercials. She wanted to be pink. That either means that the ad agency was sexist or that she was communist. Of course Hungry Hungry Hippos is a rather capitalist game isn’t it? No self respecting communist would play Hungry Hungry Hippos. Except Stalin. He LOVED Hungry Hungry Hippos. God, I’ve got no clue what the hell I’m rambling about anymore.-- Matt "Excalibur05" Hocking, Raw Satire writer extraordinaire
You know, I just can't call it the "WWE." I just can't. My body's rejecting it like a bad liver transplant.-- Bill Simmons, espn.com/page2
Hey, maybe it was because I was a mark, but I can't think of a better heel than DiBiase back in 88. Him and Honky Tonk, they weren't heels they were BAD guys.
Ted DiBiase is one of my all time favourites. I even read his autobiography and it is a good read. His character was money (scuse the pun) and he pulled it off amazingly. Just a shame he didn't get a legit WWF title reign.

It was Kurt Angle, not RVD.

No, really, it WAS RVD. I believe it's included as an extra on the "Before They Were WWE Supertars 2" DVD, if Google can be believed.
The WWE really missed out on something by not giving DiBiase a title reign. I know it was the era of putting the face over at Mania, but had he had at least one championship under his belt, he could've been a strong heel during the "Dark Days" of WWF, and perhaps had a rub to give to guys like Michaels and Hart...

Title reign or not, it doesn't matter. DiBiase couldn't have been more over even if he won the belt 62 times. His character, and the quality job he did with it, made him more important than a title would have (besides, the gimmick of having the Million Dollar Belt, but NEVER defending it because the opponent was beneath you was great).
And as for the so-called 'rub' everyone likes to talk about. I don't think it's ever really mattered to any fans besides the type that mail away for Japanese tapes and actually keep track of who beats who (which is actually more markish than casual fans are). Would Hogan's face run have died off after 4 years if he hadn't have fought Andre at WM3? Would the Brooklin Brawler have been maineventing for 5 years if he had beat Savage in the WM4 tournament?
Remember Rocky Maivia? They used every friggin' guy on the roster to give him 'the rub' from every single direction and fans just shit on him more and more until he made himself a star. You can't force people to like someone anymore, and ever since people figured out it was all fake, who you beat to be a star stopped being important.
DiBiase was awesome, and anyone who watched the guy either loved or hated him, but since we're not talking about XPac-heat, either way meant he was doing his job better than 99% of wrestlers ever could hope to.
