Ya know, I don't know why, but the whole Undertaker/David Flair thing struck me as extremely perverse. I found myself loathe to watch it. Yes, I know, that's the point: to build heel heat for Taker. But it was just...gross. I think it was the sexual overtones: Taker asking Flair about his sister, telling him he was taking him to school, putting his arm around him, the whole thing happened in a shower, he kept calling him "boy..." Taker's a perverted old bastard.
Two points to add: 1. PERFECT PLEX!!!!! 2. Does anyone know the lyrics to RVD's new song? I can't tell what the hell it says except "HEY!" and "ONE OF A KIND!" But it rocks.

Okay, $5,000,000,000,000,000,000.69 says Hall's opponent will be The Big Show or Kane. Why? Because mystery opponents are ALWAYS either Big Show or Kane.
Edit: Ah hell. Oops!

The NWO: Taking over the WWF one stage hand at a time.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
Let me post this in convenient style as to allow that point by point dissection that is all the rage with the kids these days.
1. What is WWF policy for blood? I have read about ring rats. I don’t care if it is Austin. Just curious about if there are any measures in place for 20 people to come out and roll around in someone’s blood.
2. Speaking of blood I enjoy it more every week as Taker continues to make the smarts his bitch every week.
3. Hogan still sucks. In lieu of “ Gonna lay the smackdown on his crippled ass” we get “bow down to the N.W.O.” five times. Dear lord, please make him go away. Amen.
4. Everyone agree that fan appreciation night was about showing Vince’s version of the post split show? Yes it was a good show but I hope he isn’t burying his “competition” yet again.
5. Oh, I almost forgot my new signature. God, J.R. almost made me fall out of the chair. I don't know who wrote that line but I loved that pain in his voice when he said it. Not sure of the exact quote but I'll fix it later. Help me out here CRZ ol buddy.

"Those educated feet! One went to Harvard, one went to Yale. His family must be proud."
Did Taker rub shoe polish in his hair or something? And look at Vince disrespecting WCW again, letting his boy just casually squash a FORMER U.S. CHAMPION!
Two good RVD/Storm matches in two days. Yay. Pity RVD is stuck being the latest guy to try to drag William Regal kicking and screaming into the 21st century -- he's definitely not the one to do it.
When they made such a big production early in the show of Austin staggering out under his own power instead of letting the EMTs treat him, I was expecting him to come back later on to attack the nWo when their guard was down. So much for that.
I was hoping to see Test's new finisher tonight, since I missed it last night. Darn.
Good cage match, and Triple H actually looks a bit more vulnerable after tonight. Now if they can just build up Jericho some more in the next week and a half...
Allright. I only got to see the last half hour of raw so i missed the whole Undertaker-David Sammartino thing. Man am I glad about that:P
I must say that I enjoyed the cage match. Stephanie took a couple of bumps and layed out a couple chair shots to H!!! I was pretty surprised about that, but we all know its leading to stephy getting the pedigree at WM.
Not sure if H was supposed to get his foot stuck in the ropes like that but it did leave a pretty cool visual. Now the camera shot of Angle and Steph to end the show was horrible. Everyone complains that Steph is on the show too much and I must agree. I can stand her when she comes out to the ring for matches but thats about it.If we could get rid of Steph's backstage segments I'd be a happy man.
So I heard one of the nwo members wrestled tonight. Anyone waant to give details. kthax

The nWo played a game of rock, paper, sissors to decide who would wrestle. Scott Hall won. He then "randomly" drew a name, and ended up wrestling Spike Dudley. He squashed Spike, and finsihed him off with the Razor's Edge.
Originally posted by EscoSo Hall wrestled Spike huh. I'm surprised Nash didn't see him backstage before the match and throw him like a lawndart into a fence. Eh it's whatever.
No, that didn't happen, but JR did refer to Spike as a "human javelin" when Nash tossed him around outside the ring. Imagine the reaction if JR had used "lawn dart!"

"...the people ran, they ran all right, they ran right to the toilet, pulled their pants down, took one big Hulk-a-CRAP every time you opened your mouth!"
Of course the nWo is beating down the stage hands. Think about it. If they take out ALL the stage hands, then the WWF won't have anyone to set up RAW or Smackdown, the shows will have to be canceled, the WWF will lose a crap load of money and the WWF goes out of business. Those nWo guys are geniuses!
For some reason the Undertaker angle reminded me of an ECW Raven skit. If Paul E. is booking this, Flair's family will turn on Taker in no time.
Speaking of David...Did he botch that one armdrag or what? The TE1 kids were throwing some better ones (Darryl was admittedly worse).
Come on, you HAD to know that random drawing would be somebody Hall could squash.
That was alot of blood for a RAW.
Neat RVD/Storm match, and oooh, look, PSYCHOLOGY!
EDIT: A special note to CRZ: Why are you in charge of the care of Christian's grandparents? Just curious. And how does Edge feel about all this?

These mini Reeses cup things are addictive...
Pretty good RAW imo. Not stellar by any means, but nothing that I can complain about. The Austin beatdown seemed to last forever. I keep asking myself a) when it would end and b) when the rock was coming to save his ass.
I enjoyed some of the backstage skits and the RVD/Storm match. Tazz/Goldust wasn't bad either, and I'm interested in an extended Goldust hardcore reign. I thought the Taker beatdown of David Flair worked pretty well too.
But I really wasn't interested in most of the show. I've pretty much given up on anything interesting coming out of the NWO angle, but even that wasn't the worst thing. I'm just sick of watching HHH vs. Angle again and again and again...I did like the ending of the match, but I don't have any interest in watching those two face each other anymore.
EDIT: Oops, forgot the RVD/Storm match was on HEAT, not RAW. That's what happens when you tape shows and watch them later instead of watching them when they're aired.

"No one has a beer party at Scott Hall's expense!"
I got a kick out of Lillian calling Goldust on using the "seemingly forgotten 24-7 stipulation".
HHH and his "large box" comment was, uh, interesting. My wife called the lotion gimmick immediately.
What is the deal with NOBODY coming out to make the save whenever an NWO beatdown occurs? I was beginning to wonder if the Austin beatdown was going to last the WHOLE SHOW. There's a difference between making a point and "filling time". This was filling time.
Could Test be any worse on the mic? He and Perfect should be a permanent tag team just so they have somebody who can talk and Test doesn't have to cut the promos anymore.
Between matches like the aforementioned Test/Perfect-Albert/Scotty and the number of clips and montages we sat through, I felt like I was watching HEAT.
I don't know...RAW just seems to be getting worse and worse, while Smackdown is towing the line. That's not the best of ideas because Smackdown is still not seen everywhere in the country. A number of mid-markets don't get it. If the WWF relies on Raw as their best programming to these markets, they're going to simply alienate the people in those markets.
There is very few people (maybe no one) that I dislike more then Goldberg. How awsome would he be if he had just half the respect for wrestling or himself to improve as someone like Trish (okay I'm a mark for her). who needs his...His half-assed heelness....
