Let's see what the TV listings say about this week's show: "WWE SmackDown!- Scheduled: WWE makes plans to visit Kuwait and Iraq."

Huh. I hope Brock Lesnar beats up a terrorist while he's there. Anyway, it's time for The Great Thomas SmackDown! Report!

Paul Heyman: He steals a page from Bischoff's book, appearing in the intro, and telling Benoit he will never get another title shot again.

Paul Heyman, Act II: In following tradition, Heyman will build SmackDown! on the back of Brock Lesnar, just as Vince Sr. built his company on Bruno Sammartino, and Vince Jr. built his on Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold. Brock gives us footage of Benoit "tapping out." Ha ha. Brock insults the San Diego fans, prompting their hometown hero Rey Mysterio to come out. Rey challenges Brock to a match. Brock accepts, and if Rey wins, he gets a title shot next week! Cripes, Michael Cole sounds more annoying than usual tonight. Did someone kick him in the nuts before the show?

Rhyno vs. Bradshaw: Oh, joy. A Bradshaw match. DDT by Rhyno. Bradshaw's doing a lot of repetitive spots tonight. SUPER FALLAWAY SLAM by Bradshaw! SUPERPLEX by Bradshaw, which stuns him long enough for Rhyno to roll him up for the 1-2-3. Ha, what a moron!

Heyman: He took care of Nathan Jones, which is why we don't see him anymore. Paul's mad since A-Train bet on Benoit last week. As punishment, A-Train's gonna face Shannon Moore... NEXT!

Final Fantasy X-2: I'm still holding resentment against Shinra for beating me in Sphere Break.

Backstage: Nunzio's the bookie, and everyone's placing their bets. The odds are 10-1 A-train squashes Shannon Moore.

A-Train vs. Moore: A-Train dominates the entire match, but Shannon rolls him up and grabs the trunks for the win. Afterwards, Matt Morgan and Big Show show up, and are about to beat down Shannon, but attack A-Train instead! A-Train gets AAAAAATHECHOKESLAAAAM! By the way, nice outfit, Big Show!

The Cat: Lamont has the fakest afro I've ever seen. Cat comes out in one of Elvis's old outfits. He's here to dance with Sable, who's obviously been raiding Shaniqua's closet. She ain't here to dance for Cat. I knew it. Cat frenches Sable, then strips down to his boxers, and dances some more. Um... was there a point to all of this?

Smack Your TV: Rey Mysterio is better than marijuana! Okay.

Los Guerreros vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team: According to Tazz, Los Guerreros come out in a Monte Carlo. Apparently, this is the match that Eddie got his arm injured in and got him into an argument with Charlie Haas. Sure enough, Benjamin hits an armbreaker, then slams Eddie's arm against the post. Let's go to commercial break!

Los Guerreros vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team (cont.): Haas & Benjamin continue to work on Eddie's shoulder until he tags out. Now they work on Chavo's knee. Double team moves galore! Now higspots! Chavo hits the frogsplash, but Benjamin kicks out. Eddie whacks Benjamin with the car's air filter, and scores the pin.

SOCOM II: U.S. Navy Seals: With intense spitting terrorist action!

Dragonball Z Budokai 2: Finally, I can now live my dream of playing as Videl! Yay!

WWE in Iraq: The WWE stars plan to go to Iraq and Kuwait to entertain our troops, and send care packages. See it on SmackDown! in 2 weeks!

Big Show: He comes out dressed as Cena, and announces that he will chalenge Cena to a "Battle Rap." Out comes Cena, in his new "WWE Word Life" jersey. Big Show does a pretty good rap, but Cena upstages him in the end, and kicks him in the nutsack for good measure. So much for Show's rap career.
Love Don't Co$t A Thing: Steve Harvey teaches his son how to make love to women. Yup.

Chris Benoit: Interview. He promises to win the title someday. Just like Rob Van Dam said he was gonna do at The World. Bleh.

Rey Mysterio: It's Rey Mysterio's birthday, he's in his hometown, and his family's watching. Oh, he's definitely gonna win tonight (sarcasm).

The Main Event: Mysterio vs. Lesnar: Brock tosses Rey around like a rag doll. The match then devolves into a slightly comical Benny Hill-type chase sequence. Rey is actually squashing Brock! Let's go to commercial break!

VOOM: Shilled by Don King. Don King rules.

Mysterio vs. Lesnar (cont.): Lesnar turns the tables, and Michael Cole contines to yell "That damn Lesnar!" at the top of his lungs. Bah. 619! LEGDROP! But Brock kicks out! Brock blows a spot. POWERBOMB by Lesnar! Here's the Brock Lock! Rey-Rey taps out! A fan jumps the rail, and unmasks to reveal... BOB HOLLY! He attcks Brock, and tosses him out of the ring. And... we're out!

That's all for this week. Until then, Good Night, take care of yourselves, and if anyone knows how expensive a bottle of perfume has to be before it can be considered a good Christmas gift, let me know.

"For you see, I've been chosen. Yes, I've been chosen. I've been chosen by a higher authority, a greater power, I've been chosen! I've been chosen, I've been chosen to take this glorious quest, I've been chosen to take the Final Ride, I've been chosen to vanquish my foes, I've been chosen to slaughter the infidel! Yes, by god, I've been chosen to bury the Undertaker alive. Amen and AMEN."

Smackdown Thoughts:

Rhyno v.s Bradshaw was just kinda there....I like the Nunzio taking bets on the matches gimmick- except that by now, everyone knows wrestling's fixed, except the wrestlers?....With Shannon Moore and Rey Misterio Jr. getting tossed around like rag dolls this week, you'd think Larry Zbyszko was booking....I like the Cat, but man, put him in a match- this thing he's doing now ain't getting over....The Guerreros v.s TWGTT was another good match in a series of them with these two teams. I noticed they went to a crowd shot after Eddie got hurt- possibly when the "X" sign was given?....

WWE in Iraq was a nice touch, even if it may be just for P.R. reasons....Big Show v.s Cena rap-off was fun, too. Man, Cena's raps are just out of this world....Rey v.s Brock was good too. I even thought Rey would win!....I love how right behind Rey's family in the audience was a "family" with Rey masks on. I was confused at first which was his real family :)....

I liked the Show over all

Im not sure why the Cat is on the show and what he does though?

The battle rap was funny...I still like Shownan the Barbarian best.

Moore Moore Moore winning was nice as I am a lover of small men(was the gay sounding?).

A-train as a face will be ok with me long as he stays away from scotty too hotty or anyone else who dances.

Mysterio Running away from Brock like a cartoon was interesting....we need some Apa doors for that next time...Rey's cousin or sister in law or whatever should be a Diva

Lucha Holly wasn't soooo bad, cept he should have helped Rey up or something...selfish bastard

This Show needs more Tajiri ...and you know this man!

But remember, Sable was wearing those kind of outfits back before Shaniqua was probably even a high school graduate. Maybe Shaniqua raided Sable's old closet? Eh, who cares.

I saw Cena's new shirt for the first time(later noticing the thread made about it) and marked out for the logo, albeit with the 'F' out. Me definitely like. And the rap stuff was really fun, first time Big Show has entertained me in years. See, it doesn't hurt to give your hosses some personality once in a while now does it?

But an A-Train face turn? Blah, this could've been much better suited for Christian or Jericho. I know, different show but still. Who the hell will buy face A-Train?

Are people still seeing shades of the possible painkiller addiction angle with the Guerreros? Seems like its taking a bit to develop.

Jen also claimed that Eddie's car was a Monte Carlo, and Jen is a big time fan of Monte Carlos. I thought it was a Buick Regal, which in that era I believe were just rebadged Monte Carlos (or vice versa) anyway. Not that it matters because I don't like GM cars anyway.

I liked the main okay and I liked the tag match. Heyman's buildup of Lesnar was nice, even if using Bruno Sammartino as a reference point probably had half the audience going "Who?!?" The Cat segment was eighties bad.

Why is it when Shannon Moore came out, the first thing I thought of was "PEDIGREE TO ORTON!"?

Eh.

After weeks of not watching Smackdown (haven't seen it since No Mercy, honestly), that BOB MUTHAFUCKIN HOLLY is the biggest threat to Brock Lesnar's title? Now I like Bob, but really, Champion? NO.

I think they could do a lot worse than teaming A-Train and Moore; I hope that's the direction they're going in. It would be a pretty cool big guy / little guy team that, at the very least, we could take more seriously than Rikishi and Scotty.

Of course, I'm a Train fan, so your mileage may vary. But I'm looking forward to it.

No, Holly's not a threat to the tite; he's a threat to Brock's well being. Holly doesn't care about the title, he just wants to hurt Brock; this makes him dangerous, since he can ignore the "rules."

Hate to break it to you, but the Cat wrestling isn't going to get him over, either.

SD was OK. Guerreros/WGTT was a bit disappointing, a lot of miscommunication in the match, and not as crisp as past matches. Rey/Brock was a lot of fun. Can't wait for Brock to just annihilate Bob Holly. Rhyno/Bradshaw was garbage, and A-Train/Moore was just there. Don't see the logic behind an A-Train face turn. I don't think he sucks, I just don't think the fans will buy into it. And the Cat segment was just pointless. They've got Kanyon, Spanky, and London busting their asses (and getting over) on Velocity, yet Ernest Miller is the guy they use to replace Matt Hardy on SD.

Yeah the show had its ups and downs in my opinion ... that guy that comes out with the Cat, Lamont, reminds me of someone that should be at bad wrestling event in a local high school gym rather than on Smackdown ...

Good solid match between Los Guerreros & WGTT ... and Eddie is not main eventing why? I dare to say he may have been more over than Rey (at least it appeared that way to me on TV).

Something tells me that Rikishi & Scotty are gonna win the titles next week ... ugh ... maybe they'll drop them to WGTT real quick.

Also, if you had been watching Smackdown you would know that Benoit and Cena are Lesnar's biggest threats to the World Title. Which is exactly who should be th biggest threats (and Eddie should be too).

Unless he's somehow improved between his WCW stint and right now. Which, since the WWE has had him do everything BUT wrestle, seems unlikely. I just wanted to hear the WWE announcers call Miller's finisher.....The Feliner!!

-Heyman/Lesner/Mysterio interview- Heyman starts off talking about the WWE tradition of pushing big guys over talented small guys (okay maybe in not so many words, but I really thought that's the way he was going LoL). Brock comes out to speak (uh no). He said Benoit gave a decent effort but not in his league. He was going to have everyone deported(ha that's kinda funny) but he stayed on it way too long saying how everyone looks like they are from Mexico(Dude the deporting line was funny, after the punchline Move On). Finally Rey came in and confront Brock for a match TONIGHT Yeaaaaah, Non-title Booooo

-Rhyno vs. Bradshaw- Rhyno WON!? If I was hanging with Nuzio this would be my Oklahoma beating K-state sure thing bet on Bradshaw. So that was a surprise. The match, umm two guys/characters that have no character to actually get behind in. Shouldn't this match be on Velocity or something. The fall away slam from the second rope was alright.

-Moore vs. Albert- They kinda tipped their hand before the match. 90 second match with Moore having a quick fluke rollup win... Morgan and BigShow came in to help beat up Shannon but as Albert sets to squash him in the corner he gets met with a boot by Morgan, pretty good impact too! BigShow and Morgan take out Albert. Now that's the sound of when Hosses collide. Oh a little mention on Nathan Jones being homesick and staying in Australia by the sarcastic Tazz.

-Cat/Sable Interview- Mayhem I think Cat AND his little buddy should be in some highschool gym or bar with a low ceiling, not on national television. This is bad and cheesy for a start up wrestling company. Speaking of cheese, seeing Sable come out in full 1996 catsuit outfit made me laugh. Seeing the Raw girls on Monday, Trish with her white tee and cool looking jeans and Lita looked great as well. Atleast they look modern... Seeing Sable, it looks like someone from a totally different era. Retro Confidential just called they want their 1996 footage back hehe. Saying all that this was still better then Cat/Torrie, because Sable at least has a shred of personality to her. Cat removing his pants and having boxers and his pants leg getting stuck to his shoe!? Stop the pain. The only saving grace from this segment was Tazz singing along with Cat's music "Somebody call my momma"

-Los Guerreros vs. Worlds Greatest TagTeam- This was such an interesting match. Seeing Eddie hurt himself, I could have almost felt his pain threw the screen. Every spot he took I cringed and it looked like his arm was being more and more damaged. It was bordering on uncomfortable viewing but it was still so intriguing. Eddie is amazing... Sheldon is going to be a player, man is this guy talented. I'm an RVD mark but I got a feeling that Sheldon has surpassed him as the most educated feet in the WWE. Benjamin’s superkick on Chavo was vicious, his leg sweeps were clean and impressive. Chavo looked good in there was well. Haas looked alright as well. This match was just very interesting to watch, especially considering all the other stuff that was going on during and after it. Sure there was some miscommunication, but for me it made it all that more intriguing viewing/

-Bigshow/Cena rap off- BigShow Yo YO YO Let me speak on This. "bring your izzass to the rizzing" hahah. The Score Sports Channel completely bleeped out all of the Kobe lines. I guess someone doesn't want to get heat with the NBA! Cena rapped that BigShow is just a Big piece of crap then kicks him squa' in the nuts.

-Lesner vs. Mysterio- Mysterio runs around and has Lesner chase him for a good minute. Hehe. Ouch sunset flip into the barricade by Mysterio to Brock. Rey is hitting Brock from all sides. 619 from the ringpost by Rey. Brock finally catches Rey and locks up the Brock Lock (eventually) and finishes the match... Hometown boy taps out, the crowd is side. But turn your frowns upside down because here' BOB HOLLY, getting his revenge! That makes everyone feel good and forget about Mysterio tap out. OR NOT.

-OtherStuff- Did Bradshaw just say The U.S Army is the ONLY undefeated army in the world. Gawd this guy is dumber then a bag of rocks, speaking of he'll be on Fox News this weekend, he'll fit right in... Good promos backstage by The Guerreros and Benoit (did I actually say Benoit had a good promo, whaaaaat! LoL)... FBI the bookmakers is an interesting concept, I guess mostly to have a reason for Morgan the attack Albert.

-Line of the Night: BigShow "Yo Yo Yo. Let me speak on this"
-3Stars of the Night: 1)Eddie. 2)Benjamin. 3)Mysterio - It was really easy this week.

Where did the SD depth go? I know injuries hurt a lot with Edge and now Angle, two pretty much guaranteed good segments. and Matt Hardy leaving SD to Raw (still don't think that's the right move for the WWE or Matt, unless if it's corking Lita his top priority)... But SD used to have so much talent that they never went back to back segments with lame stuff in the past but the first hour of this show was subpar to bad from top to bottom. Second hour improved greatly starting with MOTN Gurreros/WGTT, a good rap off and a pretty good main event

OH OH OH -- the other thing that pleased me about SD! is that Cena was doing his Word Life sign with his thumbs folded in again, the way he used to. I like it better that way -- it really bugged me when he stuck his thumbs out, the last few weeks. (It made it harder to bang your fists together and looked too much like the "hang loose" sign.)

After last night's show, I'm wondering if Rick Scaia's prediction that they're going to go with Holly vs. Lesnar at Royal Rumble rather than Benoit vs. Lesnar is going to come true. It sure looked that way by the end of the night, what with Benoit giving an "Aw man, I lost" promo, and Bob Holly getting the big show-ending beatdown.

Here's what could happen: Bob gets his shot at Lesnar at the PPV, and Benoit has to go and win the Rumble in order to get his shot again. Anyone think they might go with Benoit vs. Lesnar at Wrestlemania?

I enjoyed the WWGT vs. Guerreros match, and the Rey vs. Lesnar match was nice, too.

When Heyman says that Benoit would never get another title shot while he (Heyman) was GM, I thought 1 - Benoit will win the Royal Rumble, and 2 - SomeoneElse as GM.

Another week with all the B-Teamers gambling away their hard-earned wages. Hey, at least it gives them all a chance to be on TV, and some of 'em get the main speaking part, too.

Hey, it's TheCat! Hello, TheCat, meet my Fuhfuhwid button. Oh, a Battle Rap! Hello, Battle Rap, have YOU met my Fuhfuhwid button?

In general you may be right. But that night, in San Diego, Rey owned the building & everybody in it!! (It was actually really, really cool.)

It was definitely one of the most fun live shows I've ever been at. (In spite of the Cat/Sable segment. We needed that nap time anyway.)
