So does anyone else have a pizza place that allows you to order online? I think this is pretty cool. Just sit at the computer and order a pizza. Pretty soon, phones are going to be entirely useless. Ordering pizza online, talk about technological advancements.
Papa John's lets you order on-line - but the place that's no more than 3 miles away doesn't deliver to my house. Sad.
The place I typically get from - local one, so not worth dropping the name - has a site too, but I've never checked it out.
The thing is, I don't really trust the connection between the website and the actual business - if I call, I know they got it (and maybe I'd get more feedback, like how long till) and you're never totally sure with stuff on the Web.
The very few times I've ordered pizza online, they've always given me a followup call to confirm everything I put in the form. Seemed a little silly...and I suppose I should have counted myself lucky I wasn't using my phone to connect to the Web, else they wouldn't have been able to contact me to confirm it!
Maybe I'm just a Luddite, but I haven't had pizza delivered in several years, and I was sick (and couldn't drive) when I did it the last time. If I'm hungry, I can order a pizza, go get it, return home and be eating it within fifteen minutes; even the fastest delivery places are at least a half-hour wait under GOOD circumstances.
But that's just me.

Well it's been about 12 hours since I had my first on-line pizza ordering experience, and it's finally starting to sink in. Just a few thoughts on the whole process. It took me about 10 minutes to fill out all the forms, seems kinda silly since a phone call would have taken about 2 minutes. The pizza came on time, in 45 minutes, just like it said it would, and the order was right on the money. No mistakes. I don't really know if I would make a habit of ordering online, but everything worked out just like it said it would, so it's definately an option. After I made my order, I got a confirmation e-mail. The only problem I have with it, is wondering if they actually got the order since the confirmation e-mail just comes from the website and not the actual location where my pizza is being made.

You've obviously missed the fact that we're all lazy bastards.

I myself am a lazy bastard, except where food is concerned. Hungry > Lazy on my priority chart, for the most part.

i have to agree with vsp... i can be lazy about a lot of things... but if i want food... or have a craving for something particular... i go out of my way for it!
