Seeing that it's a Raw only PPV and the last TV show before the PPV has come and gone. I guess it's prediction time!. Strange only 6 official matches are signed
*World Championship Match -Goldberg (c) vs. Kane vs. HHH PICK: TRIPLE H -- Why not, he's in a championship match without needing to be on the show for the last two weeks. Why can't he be champion as well
*Intercontinental Championship Match ~ Mick Foley Special Referee -RVD (c) vs. Orton PICK: ROB VAN DAM -- Before the Foley inclusion I'd bet the house on Orton, now I'm thinking maybe they are setting something with Orton and Foley
*Tag Team Championship Match ~ Tag Team Turmoil -Dudleyz (c) v. La Rez v. Storm/Val v. Hurricane/Rosey v. Steiner/Test v. Cade/Jindrak PICK: DUDLEY BOYS -- I hate to say this but non of these challengers look championship ready
-Michaels vs. Batista PICK: BATISTA -- Don't worry HBK will get his win back soon.
-Booker vs. Henry PICK: Booker T -- Henry has had the upper hand way too much lately
*Battle of the Sexes Match -Stratus/Lita vs. Jericho/Christian PICK: CHRIS JERICHO & CHRISTIAN -- Jericho feels bad afterwards.
*Hate to say this but a pretty apathetic card. It was hard to pick winners, but it's not necessary great even booking but more on "who cares" type of opinion. Look at the tag title match, does any of these teams really jump out at you?... Someone in the World title match hasn't even been on TV for three weeks, yet he's in the World title match. Looking up and down the card I can't pick out one sure fire great match in the whole thing.
(edited by Net Hack Slasher on 9.12.03 0228) Christmas is the one time of year when people of all religions come together to worship Jesus Christ.
Pick: KANE. To then drop the belt at RR. Probably won't happen, but the BUF has paid his dues so why not?
Pick: Cowboy Randy Hopefully then the IC can get in some IC related story lines and be re-built again as a title then. Randy doesn't do much for me but he seems to be a favourite - so he is better for the title.
Pick: Steiner/Test Go team Hoss. Also seem to be favourites with management. Dud's are stale. Would be happy to see team trouser snake win though.
Pick: HBK Gut Feel
Pick: Book See NHS
Pick: Y2J & CLB Neither of these two (well maybe Y2J could) could afford to have women be booked to go over them.

(edited by Big G on 8.12.03 2145) Warrior Quote: "Presuming initial consensualness, where exactly do we draw the lines of our judgment pinning down the responsibility and accountability inextricably attached to each human life? "
World Championship Match -Goldberg (c) vs. Kane vs. HHH PICK: TRIPLE H -- Yeah, it probably should be Kane.....but it won't be
*Intercontinental Championship Match ~ Mic Foley Special Referee -RVD (c) vs. Orton PICK: ROB VAN DAM -- Mick will abruptly remember he was tossed down a flight of stairs by Orton, good night Orton
*Tag Team Championship Match ~ Tag Team Turmoil -Dudleyz (c) v. La Rez v. Storm/Val v. Hurricane/Rosey v. Steiner/Test v. Cade/Jindrak PICK: CADE/JINDRAK -- None of the other challengers even have real stories with the champs.....they're cannon fodder
-Michaels vs. Batista PICK: HBK -- Batista's been crushing him left and right
-Booker vs. Henry PICK: BOOKER T -- Henry's been crushing him left and right
*Battle of the Sexes Match -Stratus/Lita vs. Jericho/Christian PICK: JERICHO/CHRISTIAN -- Christian beats Trish, beats Trish silly, only to be attacked by Jericho
Anybody can kick people's asses. But it takes a true monster to kick people's asses AND breastfeed at the same time - Excalibur05
Since I only got one match wrong at the last Raw PPV (I never thought Molly would win), I'll probably get most of these matches wrong, but oh well...
Goldberg (c) vs. Kane vs. HHH Prediction: Goldberg, then he'll probably drop the title to HHH next month
RVD (c) vs. Orton Prediction: Hmm...with Foley in the mix now, I don't see how Orton could win...
Dudleyz (c) v. La Rez v. Storm/Val v. Hurricane/Rosey v. Steiner/Test v. Cade/Jindrak Prediction: It's either gonna be the Dudleys or Garrison and Cade, but I'll go with the Dudleys.
Michaels vs. Batista Prediction: Batista, with interference
Booker vs. Henry Prediction: Booker T
Stratus/Lita vs. Jericho/Christian Prediction: Jericho/Christian
World Championship: Goldberg [c] pins Kane to retain, HHH bitches and gets Goldberg/HHH match at Royal Rumble. The Rock gets involved in the main event. IC Championship: Randy Orton pins Rob Van Dam [c] to become new champion when Bischoff & Flair get involved, distracting Foley Tag Championship: The Dudley Boyz [c] def. La Resistance, the Venis Storm, the Dynamic Duo, the Testicles & Cade/Jindrak to retain Battle of Los Sexes: Trish Stratus & Lita beat Chris Jericho & Christian when Jericho has a change of heart and lets Trish pin him. It's the only way they'll lose. Carrying Contest: Booker T pins Mark Henry, but the match sucks Carrying Contest II: Batista pins Shawn Michaels cleanly after "injuring" him outside the ring. Michaels looks like gold, Batista doesn't
The Rock will make an appearance, Austin may as well (Foley will bring up the petition)
FLAMES: 13-8-1-3; 30pts SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS: 5 Remain [Darrah, Jon, Sandra, Burton & Lillian] TOP 10 FILMS OF 2003 [So Far]: Mystic River, Lost In Translation, Finding Nemo, Seabiscuit, Kill Bill V1, X2: X-Men United, Open Range, Pirates of the Caribbean, Matchstick Men & The Last Samurai
Goldberg (c) vs. HHH vs. Kane: Either Kane pins HHH or Goldberg does. I think his lack of presence at the show tonight is a telling factor -- HHH would probably not have left the show if he was going to be regaining the belt. HHH gets pinned, allowing Kane and Goldberg to keep their heat.
RVD (c) vs. Orton: Yeah, like they have any idea how to use RVD as a champ. Orton all the way, especially now that they've stacked the deck against him.
HBK vs. Batista: HBK wins, avenging his Survivor Series loss.
Booker vs. Mark Henry: I can only pray that Booker finally gets the win here, because otherwise they're risking damaging him all the way down to Heat.
Lita/Trish vs. Jericho/Christian: Lita/Trish get the dirty pin on Christian, possibly through a Jericho turn.
Tag Championship: Either the Testicles or Cade/Jindrak steal the titles here. There is no reason for the Duds to retain here.
Goldberg (c) vs. HHH vs. Kane: Goldberg retains title going into the Rumble. I don't see Trips getting it back until a bigger PPV. And as much as I'd rather see Kane get it, I don't think he "needs" the strap in the management's eyes since his big build up will be the feud with Taker at WM.
RVD (c) vs. Orton: Clearly Orton's going over on this one. This would be the shocker of the night if RVD won.
HBK vs. Batista: HBK
Booker vs. Mark Henry: Book's gotta win this one...right??
Lita/Trish vs. Jericho/Christian: J/C get the win, but I agree with EvilAntlerGod, a post match beat down by Christian results in the continuation of the face turn for Jericho.
Tag Championship: This one's tough since there are no real strong challengers, but I'll go with Cade/Jindrak with the build up they've been getting lately. I'd rather see Storm/Venis win just to get any sort of gold around Lance's waist, but that's my bias. Hey, if they aren't going to use him properly in the singles, at least give him a push again in the tag division.
Goldberg vs Trips vs Kane Winner: Kane-the monster will finally get the belt back
RVD vs Orton Winner: Orton-RVD has had the belt for awhile, and Orton's push to the top begins now
Tag team turmoil Winner: La Resistance-I see them as the foil to Foley as Jericho was the foil to Austin
Batista vs HBK Winner: Batista-evolution will go 2-1 and maybe they feel HHH is holding them back? Might be the beginning of trips face turn
Henry vs Booker Winner: Booker-Mark has been dominant, but Booker has been on the short end WAY too much lately
Trish/Lita vs Y2J/Christian Winner: Trish/Lita-Jericho will refuse to fight and may even help the girls, we find out that Y2J isnt such a jerk after all....for now
Mr. Burns: You are of course familiar with our state usury laws? Homer:U-sur-y? Mr. Burns: Oh silly me, I must have just used a word that doesn't exist.
Trip vs. Kane vs. : Taker interferes, costing Kane the match and Trip steals the pinfall. Winner and receiver of an early X-Mas present: Trip McMahon.
Booker T vs. Mark Henry: From deserving to win the World Title at Mania to stuck working with Mark Henry in 9 months. Have to wonder if Booker is being punished for not working through injury and dropping the I-C title at a house show. Mark Henry wins.
Jericho/Christian vs. Trish/Lita: Matt Hardy interferes on Trish, causing Jericho to become Alan Alda-esque and turning Trish over to pin him. Trish/Lita win, Jericho becomes a whipped face.
HBK vs. Batista: HBK. Don't really care either way.
Orton vs. RVD: Foley is the ref, which according to WWF/E logic means the heel overcomes all odds to valiantly win the title. Orton wins.
Tag Title Match: Really don't care. Test/Steiner for no real reason.
Why Pro Wrestling proves the INS cannot keep terrorists out of the United States: If a felon like Nathan Jones is allowed into the United States with no special skills (unless being totally inept in the ring counts, but I think there are enough totally inept people in the US to keep that skill from being unique or special), then how the hell can they justify keeping anyone else out?
Triple H v.s Kane v.s Goldberg: Hmmmm....I'll say Kane. Why? I don't know.
Booker T. v.s Mark Henry: The Book wins.
Jericho/Christian v.s Trish/Lita: I don't know that this will have a cut and dried result actually....I guees I'll go with Jericho/Christian, as Christian will take no prisoners.
HBK v.s Batista: I'll go Batista here.
Orton v.s RVD: RVD gets the upset, which sets up a rematch the next night on RAW.
Tag Team Turmoil: If last night is any indication, perhaps La Resistance.
Batista is losing, and Randy Orton is winning the IC belt. That way, Batista can claim he deserves a title shot after he beat RVD in a non-title bout this week. Mix all together and we get an "Evolution Inner-Feud." Serves four.
Armageddon is right around the corner; the basis of the card has been laid out for the masses...unless anything gets added/deleted/moved to Heat.
Anyhow, I figured I'd get the ball rolling and set up a quickie prediction thread.
Triple Threat Match for Championship Triple H vs. Goldberg vs. Kane SOK's Prediction:KANE -- I don't want to see Trips win the title. I mean, what has he contributed to RAW over the past month? I like Kane, and seeing as though he suffered enough after his series with Shane McMahon, I think I'll give him the nod here.
Intercontinental Championship Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam SOK's Prediction:Randy Orton -- I'm getting a little tired of RVD's boring moveset. I can't remember him busting out any moves that really caught my attention once his debut wore off. I'll take Randy Orton because he plays the heel dick role to perfection. I see big things in the future for him. How will Foley fit into the mix, though?
Tag Team Turmoil ...featuring the Dudley Boyz, Jindrak/Cade, Venis/Storm, and Hurricane/SHiT. SOK's Prediction: Jindrak/Cade -- I get the feeling that this match will be one huge spotfest. Nothing's really been explained about this match, but I would imagine everone will get there signature spots in. I'm a firm believer of "OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW"...and I think that Jindrak/Cade have something going. Perhaps some interference from Maven would help things out. One question: Isn't La Resistance involved?
Shawn Michaels vs. Batista SOK's Prediction:Batista Can't say I'm very excited about this match, but I like Batista and his mic skills. His Batistabomb really hits hard, too. Let's hope for good things here, because both men here have been injured frequently in their careers.
Battle Of The Sexes Christian/Y2J vs. Trish/Lita SOK's Prediction: Lita/Trish (?) I'm quite upset that the WWE seemingly pulled the plug on the romance angle, which I will admit, I enjoyed very, very much. I'm expecting the entire match to be a swerve, of course. I could see Jericho eventually lying down for Trish to pin him, and seeing Christian break up that pin attempt, with would lead us to a feud between Christian and Y2J, as well as maybe Lita and Trish. Of course, the ladies could dupe the men and play the injured card and pin them when they're concerned...
Booker T vs. Mark Henry SOK's Prediction: Mark Henry ...why? because he's a hoss, that's why! I'm not looking forward to this match, simply because of what Mark Henry can do. I don't mean that in a positive way, though. I tell you, we should put John Heidenwhat'shisface and Henry together in a match and they could both injure themselves and retire, making the WWE a safer and more enjoyable environment.
I'm not sure if Steiner or Test are involved in the Tag Team Turmoil match or not...but I am upset that the Womens championship won't be defended on the card.
I'm still debating whether I want to catch the show at the Famous Players here in Edmonton or not. I may avoid it, seeing as though the Royal Rumble is next month.
Go Packers! Beat the Bengals!
(To Submit2theXFace: I haven't caved; I just don't like Cinci)
Tag Turmoil Match Dudley Boyz (c) vs Storm/Venis vs Hurricane/SHiT vs Steiner/Test vs La Resistance vs Cade/Jindrak JINDRAK & CADE take the gold as they are the only team that has been pushed at all recently, in a match to showcase how good the RAW Tag division is (!)
Booker T vs Mark Henry As much as Mark Henry is being pushed I can't see BOOKER T losing
Battle Of The Sexes Chris Jericho/Christian vs Trish Stratus/Lita I agree with everyone else, Jericho lays down for TRISH, prompting a fallout with Christian
HBK vs Batista Shawn does the JOB again to give a push to a younger star, or Evolution cheats to win. Either way BATISTA leaves as the winner
Intercontinental Title Match [Guest Ref: Mick Foley] Randy Orton vs RVD Mick Foleys inclusion must be to try to make it look less obvious that ORTON is going to take the title, probably with Evolution interference
World Championship Match Kane vs Triple H vs Goldberg GOLDBERG retains by pinning Triple H. This gives us Kane vs Goldberg for the title at Royal Rumble. But what happens to HHH? Does he work on a Foley feud or do he turn face as Evolution turn on him?
WORLD TITLE MATCH: TRIPLE H V. GOLDBERG(c) V. KANE Winner: And new World Champ TRIPLE H!
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Rob Van Dam(c) defends aganist Randy Orton Winner: And new Intercontinenal Champion Randy Orton!
World Tag Team Championship: Dudley Boyz(c) v. Cade & Jindrak v. Venis/Storm v. Hurricane/Rosey v. La Resistance v. Test/Steiner.
Winners: And new Tag Team Champions Test and Scott Steiner!
Shawn Michaels v. Batista Winner: Batista
Christain/Chris Jericho v. Trish/Lita Winners: Trish and Lita! (Who am I supposed to cheer for, my two favourite wrestlers Jericho and Christian or my favourite diva?
Battle of the 2 black men on RAW Booker T v Mark Henry Winner: Booker T
I predict I'm saving my $35 for Christmas. And for the Rumble, of course.
Triple threat: Should be Kane. Will probably be Goldberg. If they're really planning to do Lesnar/Goldberg champion vs. champion at Mania XX, there's not much point in switching the title to Trips for a month or two until Goldberg wins it back (either at the Rumble or on free TV).
RVD/Orton: Orton. I like the idea of the "Legend Killer" having a reason to go after Foley, but WWE has shown every sign so far of giving as little a shit about RVD as he gives about them, and I can't see them leaving the IC title on him much longer. And Orton doesn't have to lose the match to still come out feeling that he has a beef with Foley.
Tag! Team! Turmoil!: A whole bunch o' nothin' here. I'm gonna say Team Big Swinging Dicks just for the hell of it.
Michaels/Batista: This is the hardest one for me to call, because I can see good reasons for each guy to win. But ultimately I have to think it'll be Michaels, just for the surprise factor and to keep him looking strong until it's time for him to put someone else over.
Battle of the Sexes: The women win to blow off the angle.
Henry/Booker: Booker, if there's any justice in this world. Raw does Not need another monster heel, but it does need more credible faces, and beating Henry would help Booker there.
"I do have a degree in electrical engineering... from almost 20 years ago. Punchcard systems were just becoming obsolete, we had rotary phones in the dorms, and a modem was still a gizmo the size of a shoebox into which you squooshed the phone receiver itself. In short, we lived like animals.
The instant obsolesence is why I became a writer. The rate of punctuation in a sentence doesn't double every 18 friggin' months, and you never have some 22-year-old looming over your shoulder, shaking his head, saying "dude... you're still using adverbs...?"
World Championship Match GOLDBERG (c) v. KANE v. TRIPLE H PICK: GOLDBERG -- The push towards a Goldberg/Brock Lesnar Champion v. Champion match at WMXX seems to be inevitable now. The WWE is even negotiating with Goldberg to try and lengthen his deal. I just pray that Hunter's willing to do the job again so the Goldberg/Kane RR match isn't ruined.
Intercontinental Championship Match Special Guest Referee MICK FOLEY RANDY ORTON v. ROB VAN DAM (c) PICK: RANDY ORTON -- They pretty much sealed it up by making Mick the referee on Sunday. While he could intentionally screw Randy over (remember, the last time we saw Foley on TV before two weeks ago, Randy threw him down a stairwell) but I think Mick's attention will be elsewhere and Rob's time has run through.
Tag Team Turmoil - For The World Tag Team Championship GARRISON CADE/MARK JINDRAK v. THE DUDLEY BOYZ (c) v. THE HURRICANE/ROSEY v. LA RESISTANCE v. LANCE STORM/VAL VENIS v. TEST/SCOTT STEINER PICK: LA RESISTANCE -- Two straight weeks of Foley conflict plus a Rock rub are indicative to me that the Frenchmen are set for another push, one that might actually work since Conway can work (where Grenier couldn't). What have the Dudleys done as the champs anyway?
Battle of the Sexes CHRIS JERICHO/CHRISTIAN v. TRISH STRATUS/LITA PICK: TRISH STRATUS/LITA -- I said it in the Raw discussion thread - Jericho's expression when Eric announced the match gave the ending away right away. Either Chris will turn on Christian outright, beating him down, or he'll simply leave him hanging out to dry. Either way, the women will win, and Trish will start to wonder...
BATISTA v. SHAWN MICHAELS PICK: BATISTA -- OK, Shawn, time to prove again that all you're here to do is give the rub to the new generation.
BOOKER T v. MARK HENRY PICK: BOOKER T -- This feud has been way too one-sided in favor of the useless fat fuck for my liking.
If the WWF decided to use a Super Mario Brothers gimmick...
"Mah gawd, King! Garrison Cade just bounced a fireball toward Rene Dupree!" "And look, Mark Jindrak just jumped on top of Conway's head! I think he's out cold, JR!" "What're they up to now..where did that huge pipe come from?!" "They're going down in the pipe! They're..they're gone!" --Mike Sweetser
"Oh my god, JR. Cade just shrunk after he was hit by that chair!" "Here comes RVD, King. What's that he has in that bag?" "Are those Mushrooms, JR?" "Cade's eating the Mushrooms. BAH GAWD, KING! Cade just grew twice his size!" --Mr. Tuesday
World Championship Match GOLDBERG (c) vs. KANE vs. TRIPLE H Kane. He'll pin Triple H and face Goldberg at Royal Rumble.
Intercontinental Championship Match Special Guest Referee MICK FOLEY ROB VAN DAM (c) v. RANDY ORTON Orton. His push continues, and no one knows why. Poor fuckin' Rob. Not only does he have to lose to this pile of shit, he has to attempt to have a good match with him, too.
Tag Team Turmoil - For The World Tag Team Championship THE DUDLEY BOYZ (c) v. GARRISON CADE/MARK JINDRAK v. THE HURRICANE/ROSEY v. LA RESISTANCE v. LANCE STORM/VAL VENIS v. TEST/SCOTT STEINER
La Resistance. Their gimmick is so awful I can barely watch these days. It was painful when it started, but it was at least quasi-relevant to something, depending on your views. Not it's just stomach turning. But, they got the Rock rub, so I'm picking them.
Battle of the Sexes CHRIS JERICHO/CHRISTIAN v. TRISH STRATUS/LITA Trish and Lita win it. Jericho won't have the heart to beat on Trish. This is actually a hard one to call though, because I'm not sure what they're planning for Y2J.
BATISTA v. SHAWN MICHAELS
Shawn wins, goes on to feud with another Evolution member, because Batista's lowest on the totem pole, and there's no way Michaels jobs to him.
BOOKER T v. MARK HENRY
Booker. I can't see him losing this match after being humiliated by the tub o' lard for the past few weeks.
They'll probably add another match at Heat, because this card is kind of thin. What do you suppose it'll be? I can't think of any storylines that would use two people who aren't already on the card. Maybe they'll have a couple of these GUARANTEED CLASSIC match-ups run extra long.
