-WWE RAW scored a 3.6 rating again this week off hours of 3.4 and 3.7. The Goldberg/Triple H match scored the highest rated segment of the show, a 4.4. Since the match was placed in the middle of the show, the ratings declined until the end which is always a bad sign.-

So Raw stayed the same this week with a 3.6 of hours of (3.4,3.7) very similar to last weeks 3.6 (3.5,3.7)... The Wheel did nothing for the ratings and did nothing for the majority of the storylines IMO. Once again they hype T&A gimmick match on the second hour it doesn't help or makes a difference at all in the ratings. It's been stated that they want more female viewers that's why they done more of the love angles then you take one woman, women can get behind and have her accept a stupid bra and panties match. Smaaaart. Maybe this will show them a gimmicked show won't spike a rating but long term planing and building will help ratings in the long run, that's what they've been doing until this week.

**MNF from 9-11 did a 10.0 (slighty down from last week 10.1)... The half hour breakdowns were 9-9:30= 10.1.. 9:30-10PM= 10.2.. 10-10:30= 10.6.. 10:30-11PM= 9.1. Last week 4 half hour breakdowns were (9.9, 10.7, 10.4, 9.2)

Dude, take it easy

First, the ratings were never dependant on Trish showing her bra or not. I don't think they expect that to push the ratings through the roof

Second (and more important) you make it sound like they just killed off her character big time.
You of all peopl should know that if any of the female wrestlers' popularity is beyond showing her boobs it's Trish.

She is the one female they have that people can look at and not care if she shows T&A. She is the one female character that can easily do a Bra&panties match and still come out as a strong character, probably because her char is a bit more rounded than others..doing one T&A match a year or so won't hurt her at all..

Take a deep breath, enjoy Trish and Lilian in a bra, and think of other more, more important reasons why the ratings didn't do better than the average.

I will give some. No real hype for the Wheel thing.
No real interesting main event. So what if Jericho gets some if he helps Michaels...

Oh, and this gimicked show does help storylines.
1- Bischoff (without Austin to 'counter' him) immediately stirs shit up and does over the top booking.
2- It turns Michaels away from Henry and hooks him up with Batista.
3- Lita vs Molly advances, with the help of a new third party..Victoria.
4- Matt Hardy is a dick, Christian is there to support Lita.
5- we are reminded that midgets are fun.
6- Lance Storm still has a huge package.
7- etc..

The World Title match drew a higher rating than anything else, and that surprised people? I didn't care for the two people in the match, but if a bra and pantie match with Jackie Gayda had outdrawn a World Title match, then I'd be scared to death.

Why Pro Wrestling proves the INS cannot keep terrorists out of the United States: If a felon like Nathan Jones is allowed into the United States with no special skills (unless being totally inept in the ring counts, but I think there are enough totally inept people in the US to keep that skill from being unique or special), then how the hell can they justify keeping anyone else out?

The gimmick didn't boost the ratings, but didn't destroy them either. I thought the show was crafted together well enough (with the exception of the midget), and I kind of liked how they handled the Trish/Jericho story.

I'm not sure that the WWE expects every little thing they do to create a major boost in the ratings. I think sometimes they just are trying to put together an hour program. This gimmick is fine as long as they only break it out once a year or so. And while I don't think there were many major advancements in storylines, I think that a couple of them progressed well enough, and I really don't think this show represents a disaster for any of the others.

And I agree with dMp, Trish will be fine (and we can't sit here and pretend that T&A is not a major reason that Trish is over with a large segment of the audience.). I mean, did you really expect her to never do this type of match ever again? And do you really think that there is no longer a portion of the audience that still enjoys seeing Trish in bra and panties?

....and this on a night when you actually had a prominent on-air wrestler (Jericho) point out that she was waaaay more than just T and A and deserved to be treated better. OKay, so he was probably doing it just to get her panties off, but still...

And if I could play Justin Shapiro for a moment, I'd just like to point out that Dave Meltzer reported this news much more impartially, leaving not one scrap of speculation in it's wake. Shame all reporters can't be as professional.

I gotta believe that the WWE is expecting at least a little bit of a drop in RAW's ratings simply because people are going to realize that Austin's NOT coming back within 3 tv hours to get revenge on Bischoff.

Without a counter to Eric Bischoff, Raw sucks. I wan't mad on last weeks show, and having read the results for This week, I can't saw I'm mad form that either.

Are we all Pischtoff with Bischoff ?

I was more pissed off with Stone Cold countering every little move Eric made and the abuse of power he showed by provoking the wrestlers and valets

(note that I wasn't really pissed off, but if I had to choose sides I would pick Bischoff's.)

It was a decent episode of RAW, I thought, and to think that the Ratings are going to immensely boost up to 4.5 or something close for a T&A match or the main event would be silly. The writers should just be glad they wrote a decent show in to please the crowds they do have. Deal with the product first before worrying about building the Ratings up again.

While the gimmick certainly didn't have anything to top off last year's efforts (read: TLC 4) it didn't have anything to make us wince either (read: Beginning of Katie Vick).

Okay guys, somehow this felt like an intervention in trying to ease my mind. I appreciate it. It made me feel a little better about it but not much LoL... I think having the first ever Women Steel Cage match in the first hour and then having Trish demoted to a B/P match with Gayda of all people, probably was what rubbed me the wrong way more then anything.

I never really said that the B/P match is what caused the disappointing rating or expected it to be higher then the Goldberg/HHH match.... All I'm saying is that it's not a ratings spike, and actually in the past year or so when they heavily hyped a T&A match for the second hour more often then not it doesn't do anything for the ratings, and it just makes the people involved in it look like a joke.

dMp I agree with you on the Matt/Lita storyline being advanced well. I think they did a good job with that storyline on Monday. But that was about it for me... As for the suggestion of me sitting back and enjoy Stratus and Garcia bras. Suggestion noted LoL. WWE has them doing a photoshoot together and I might call it even

I know I sounded like I didn't like the show because if the Trish part, and that had something to do with it. But I also didn't like the non-finish of the World Title match, adding HHH to another World Title PPV match. All and all I thought it was a bad Raw... Who knows maybe my standards went up in the last couple of months when they were improving the show and doing this show 6 months ago might not get this negative reaction. But I know they can do better.

Wouldn't have thought of that, but I did try typing (spoiler text) Not remembering when he was done and thinking he may have been in a SS or RR. I didn't get the 6 timer (d'oh!) which is really sad. Edit - only got 23 total.
