What's up Wienerboard. I'm going to make it my priority to see this card through to the end with you. Mostly to avoid future posts with credit: 411tards.com.

Real Credit: Observer, and SEADAWG conveying the Torch.

He wrotes: "The latest werd is that WrestleMania XX is gonna be 5 hours at a price of $50. The extra time will probably go to a lot of video packages of the past WrestleManias that they're doing, which will air in small doses throughout the show."

Mania card as it stands:

Undertaker vs. Kane
Goldberg vs. Lesnar
HHH vs. Mick Foley
Austin vs. Vince

Supposedly they'd be interbrand affairs where necessary. No word on who would have what belts when.

Dave says they've talked about Foley/Hunter, Foley/Orton, and Hunter/Orton. HHH vs. Kane vs. Goldberg is the Armageddon main event.

According to Dave, Ricky Steamboat says he wants to do a match with Ric Flair at Mania but we'll believe it when we see it.

What about Rock and Hogan? Torch says Rock will do a match! Torch says Hogan may still be on the show if he doesn't go through with the TNA PPV!

I remember reading awhile back that Shawn Michaels wanted to have a match with Hulk Hogan. For historical significance, Michaels should be wrestling Benoit or Angle because that's what people tie him and them to, great wrestlers.

There isn't many "dream" matches left for Hogan to have. Maybe a tag match with him and Rock together against Flair and Orton? I like that idea because Orton's tied in with all of them and would get a good rub from being in there. They could play off the history between Cowboy Bob Orton and Hogan. Also Orton can get pissed about all the comparisons to Rocky. It'd be a good little program. I doubt Rock would want to comeback and wrestle Orton straight up at WrestleMania but you never know where his head is at.

Fifty Dollars? That's ricockulous! That is just going to drive people away from ordering it. I know they will lose money at the gates cuz of MSG, but this is no way to try to make up for it.

Since Mania is the only PPV some people buy all year, I don't think $15 more (for 5 hours) will dissuade them. IIRC, charging $50 in 2000 for Wrestlemania All Day Long was a success, and haven't they been charging $40 the last few years?

The funniest part about that is I'm only going to pay double the price and I'll be sitting right there, four sections back from ringside.

I can't believe Austin vs Hogan hasn't even been mentioned. Other than possibly Austin vs Goldberg, what other dream matches are left? Presuming Austin hasn't had some miracle physical recovery, he'll obviously have to be careful, so Hogan is the perfect opponent. The only possible reason I could think of not to do it is because neither of them is likely willing to lay down for the other.

And Steamboat/Flair would be awesome but how long as Steamboat been out of the ring? Granted, he's likely still in great shape and will have Flair to carry him (not to insinuate that Steamboat needs to be carried, but several years of ring rust would degrade anyone's performance.) I suppose The Dragon will have plenty of time to shake the ring rust, though, if he really wants to do this.

I also vote for a Shawn Mooney vs Todd Pettengil Hell in the Cell that ends with Michael Cole coming in and taking them both out with a steel chair.

From what I hear Steamboat is running a school down in Carolina and hes still in good shape. In fact he showed up here in Norfolk at an indy show earlier this year I think.

--Undertaker vs. Kane (Perfect fit)
--Goldberg vs. Lesnar (Could be good considering Goldberg might be gone post-Mania and it would be good to see Lesnar go over him, but I really hope they don't make this champ for champ. I'm in the minority here, but I favor keeping the brand split going. I say get the RAW belt off Goldberg, and do a swap Goldberg for Taker.)
--HHH vs. Mick Foley (Would be absolutely terrible. Whom does Hunter think he is? Take the return of one of the greatest wrestlers ever versus one of the most hated, and not in a good way? Not going to work)
--Austin vs. Vince (Didn't think of this and don't like matches with Vince. But unlike the other guys like Flair, Hogan, and Foley who have wanted to work with Vince, this makes the most sense and WMXX could provide a nice cap to their classic feud and Austin's classic career.)

I'll get to my ideal WMXX card when it gets a little more realistic to post and not mere armchair booking, but I think there's one dream match I haven't heard of from others:

The Rock vs John Cena

Cena's the only man worth the Rock's return, and I don't think the Rock won't make an appearance for WMXX. So how about it?

I've really started to think that John Cena should get some sort of main event match on the WrestleMania card, whether it be against a random top star, or match for the WWE Title with Brock. He's been working hard this past year to prove himself, and definitley deserves this shot. Plus, a main-event match at WrestleMania XX could definitley help fans see him as a worthy main-eventer.

Man, if we were complaining about guys being unfairly left off of LAST year's WrestleMania card....

I love Steamboat, but I don't think I necessarily want to see him take up PPV space from someone else.

Let's put this in the plainest terms possible: Darryl Strawberry has no business instructing anybody about anything. He has never done a thing in his life to warrant a position of guidance. Not on the field. Not off the field.-- David Vescey, si.com

I'd rather see Hogan vs. Flair ... granted it would be a super match, but it would be cool to see arguably the biggest legends in the sport go at it on the big stage.

Goldberg vs. Lesnar - sure
Kane vs. UT - if it's the Deadman, then retiring that is rumored then ok.
Vince vs. Austin - WHY!? Sure it would be a nice cap to their feud but A) their feud hasn't been seen in a long time B) they've already wrestled so many times it's not that special C) it will suck
Steamboat vs. Flair - have you people seen Flair? Surely you've seen he should retire, i'm sure it's the same for Steamboat, there is no way this match will be pretty.
Triple H vs. Foley - I know we're supposed to bash Triple H, but I'm betting Foley is in even worse shape than Triple H. This one can't be pretty either.

I'd go with Austin vs. Hogan just because it's new, it's big and Goldberg is already with Lesnar.

As for Shawn, Hogan vs. Shawn would be good for historical significance but I don't think they'd mesh well. I'd try and get Sting for WMXX to face HBK. WCW Franchise vs. WWF Franchise.

As for Rock vs. Cena? Please, Cena is the only one worth a Rock return? Why? What about Jericho? Single handedly making Raw enjoyable for a long time. What about Angle breaking his neck and risking his life to put on a good match? What about Benoit wrestling his ass off for years and not complaining one bit when he has to carry garbage like A-Train to entertaing television. What about Eddie Guerrero coming back from a car wreck and an alcohol problem to become the most over guy on the roster. I'm sorry but if you think Cena deserves more than them then that's just moronic. I'm tired of the verbal blowjobs that Cena gets when he hasn't shown jack squat as far as i'm concerned. I'm all for him being a future star, but wait in line, there's plenty of others who deserve it before him.

Come on Queezy, stop sugarcoating. Tell us what you really think.

Kane vs. UT- Good.
Brockberg vs. Goldberg- Also good.
Vince vs. Austin- NO!
Austin vs. Jericho- YES!
Steamboat vs. Flair- Only if it's a Prune Whip on a Pole match.
HHH vs. Foley- Only if Foley shoots on Tripps.
HBK vs. Hogan- Why? Surely HBK has better things to do than job to Hulk Hogan to start Hulkamania Nostalgia tour Version 3.0.

Be strong, Jubilee.

My God, the PLAGIARISM. First the SmartMarks.com forums and now this.

I don't think they said H/Foley or Austin/Vince were official, just that people were talking about those matches. "People" could just mean Pat McNeill for all I know.

I don't believe the item had been set to the lyrics and music of Grand Funk Railroad.

"My God, the PLAGIARISM."

Plagiarism in quotation marks attributed to you? Let's litigate, motherbitches.

"First the SmartMarks.com forum"

Who?

"I don't think they said H/Foley or Austin/Vince were official"

Austin-Vince does have that one backstage meeting to, no doubt, CEMENT it. I think people asking for Austin-Hogan or Austin-Jericho, while I'd like to see Austin-Jericho, you/we might be underestimating just how trashed his neck is, in that the only match he could safely pull off is a fun-type match where he can beat someone up, give him some Stunners, and not take more than a couple bumps. That would have to be against Eric or Vince, and he's already done it with Eric, whereas they've kept Vince undefeated all year so someone kind of has to take him down.

The Foley/HHH/Randy triangle, we can only speculate in our hearts where that will end up, but I'm all about MSG Rematch. Of course, if it's face Hunter vs. Orton, that means, OMG, HHH/Steph Mania reunion a la Savage and Liz.

Aside from Goldberg/Brock, this card's going to REEK of nostalgia! The common tie between Austin/McMahon, UT/Kane, and Triple H/Foley is that it's all been done TO DEATH!

I don't know where the rumor of Steamboat coming back to face Flair came from, but this one has "bad idea" written all over it. Let's think about it for a sec.

1. Vince and Steamboat have ALWAYS hated each other, stemming back from Steamboat tending to his pregnant wife on a work night. That bastard! How dare he be at his wife's side when she's giving birth! I doubt Vince would give Steamboat the time of day.
2. Part of what made Steamboat/Flair so great was that the NWA emphasized wrestling over all else. Vince emphasizes entertainment over anything and he would NEVER give Steamboat and Flair more than 20 minutes, if even that.
3. Steamboat and Flair aren't what they used to be. I would rather not see them risk going out there and possibly stinking up the joint or tainting the memory of their classic battles by putting on a sub-par match. Let the memories lie.

Where DID this rumor come from, anyway?

Admit it. You laughed too when you found out Brock was feuding with Sparky Plugg.

Oh this is a NIGHTMARE! I've died and gone back to 1998!

But no reason to get worked up I guess. You can plot, plan, divulge inside information. But the fact as always with Worst Wrestling Ever is that the wrestlemania card wont be know until the Thursday before the show.

Flair vs Steamboat? Highly Unlikely! Unless Flair gets lost along the banks of the Might Mississippi.

Wha. From Steamboat, from Meltzer. Pay attention, my friend! "According to Dave, Ricky Steamboat says he wants to do a match with Ric Flair at Mania." Doesn't mean that he's talked to Vince, or that they'd do the match, but it shows how Everybody Wants A Piece Of That WM 20 Action.
