Well after listening to Chretien speak for a decade. Pretty much anybody would seem like a good speaker LoL
I caught Chretien speech at the convention. Boy did he get a big pop from the arena when he talked about not going to Iraq.
I just don't know about this Martin guy, he's already seems to be flip-flopping on same sex marriages. I just got a feeling if he was in charge when Bush wanted to go to Iraq he would have gone along. He's giving the lines "We have to work closer with the U.S. But stay independent". Which of course it's easy to say now that it seems like Iraq was a disaster.
I like Chretien, man I remember when he said he wouldn't go to Iraq. The media (mostly talk radio, which is a joke anyways) just ripped him, saying "How it will look bad on Canada" and my personal favorite "But what will the American's think of us" (Which is always a riot because the same media always talk about how we need self identity)... And of course you had the idiot American ambassador saying "How disappointed he was that we didn't go and how America would back up Canada no matter what". Yup like we backed up the U.S after 9/11 and just like how the U.S didn't do anything out of their way to help with Sars, Mad Cow farce and of course the little story of American military men murdering 5 Canadian soldiers because of pure incompetence on their part and receiving a slap on the wrist. Yup thanks for having our backs U.S.A.
Thank You Jean Chretien your legacy is certainly more intact then Tony Blair.

To this point, last night a talk radio host, sports no less, gave his stat of the day. Since the UN formed it has approved 2 conflics(wars) between member nations (Korea and Gulf War 1)
