A few thoughts:

I'll admit going in that I'm going to be biased against the show, because after watching Tully and Magnum beat the piss out of each other for my amusement before RAW, nothing can come close to matching it (plus, getting it on sale for 19.99 made me even happier. Oh please, let the Flair DVD be on sale within a week of coming out).
Since there were no McMahon's on the show this week, was Austin named an honorary member of the family?
This has to be the weirdest build-up to a World Title PPV match I've ever seen. I don't mind both participants being off TV, but why have the World Title decided by 2 guys who aren't on TV?
Lance Storm stuck with Val Venis? That should be the last seen of Lance on the main show for the year. And why wouldn't Lance be on Austin's team? If crap like Mark Henry is in the match, why can't Lance be the member who appreciates Austin?
Put O'Haire with Jindrak and Cade, let them use Freebird rules to tag, and it would at least provide some sort of personality for the team. We're Plucky Underdogs didn't work with Powers and Roma 15 years ago, it definately won't work now.
Why do we have to put up with those two nitwits on commentary when Bob Cauddle and his dolcid tones aren't dead yet. Hell, give me Schiavone and Crockett from '86. And I shudder at next week, when Good Ol' JR goes into his 'BY Gawd King, If Stone Cold, Stone Cold, Stone Cold give me a Thesz Press so I can suck you off, loses, we be out of a job mode.' They've only done that 320 times this year alone.

Why Pro Wrestling proves the INS cannot keep terrorists out of the United States: If a felon like Nathan Jones is allowed into the United States with no special skills (unless being totally inept in the ring counts, but I think there are enough totally inept people in the US to keep that skill from being unique or special), then how the hell can they justify keeping anyone else out?

Or you can just go with Giant Billy Idol.

Anyway, the highlight last night... how can I put this without looking like a pervert... Molly needs to wear that top every week. It certainly kept my undivided attention.

And I like the fact that Kane now has the power to project hypothetical visions of the future. It's like the What If episode of Futurama. I wonder what would happen if Chris Jericho invented the Thing Longer?

Jackson already asked this question, but I will ask it again(I was going to anyway), WHERE THE @#$% is GOLDDUST?!?! I haven't missed a RAW since January, and he just dissapeared all of a sudden. So where is his stuttering ass?

-Jericho/Christian vs. RVD/Booker- Who says ratings don't matter, Y2J/RVD did poor in the mainevent last week so they are opening the show this week. Atleast we get a hot opening to start the show. Speaking of hot YES to a shot of Garcia's legs when running out of the ring when Vitamin C did a sneak attack... Entertaining match as the heels get thrown to the outside and RVD hits a plancha. Spot of the match was the heels bending to set up a double backbodydrop on RVD but Booker came in nailing both of them with an ax kick. Very good finish as well.

-Lita/Molly/Gail interaction- Molly tells Terri she's got something in common with Lita (Oh this can be good), they are both going to get beaten up (ahhh kinda disappointing, I want her to give some dirt LoL). But she sure gave a whooping to Terri. Out comes Lita and they go at it. Fight to the rail until Gail hits Lita with a wrench. She removes her hooded attire to reveal she is indeed GAIL! Why do wrestlers insist in removing their disguises, I guess they want props for their heel deeds.

-Batista vs. Maven- Well nice spot on Maven jumping the turnbuckle and getting met with a stiff clothesline

-Cade/Jendrak vs. Dudleys- Ouch Bubba hiptossing one Team Green member onto the other. Steiner came out with Stacy to distract Bubba as Cade hits him with the clothesline from hell (Uh oh I'd skip the SurSeries lockerroom if I can, you taking away Bradshaw's bread and butter). I did like Bubba face after the match like giving the kids credit for outsmarting him.

-Austin/Bischoff signing- Orton legend killer being in the match to get rid of Austin, makes sense... I must say at the end it was one of the best Austin speeches in recent memory where he talked about everyone knowing he hasn't been the real StoneCold for a long time.

-Storm vs. Rico- Val comes to ringside and when I see this I wonder, which one of the three will get let go first. Oh poor Lance. Went from beating Jericho in the 10PM time spot, to reading Lita's book backstage, to being again in the 10PM timespot in a great match with RVD v. Y2J/Steiner, to get thrown out of the ring by Mark Henry and have HBK superkick Henry and interact with the military as Storm lays there. To THIS. Match was under 2 minutes, where half the time focused on Val and his gals. They start dancing with Storm. Can't stand the Val gimmick, really I can't... I'll ask as well, Where the hell is Goldust!!

-Heidenreich/Stratus vs. Richards/Victoria- JR really needs to stop with the mixtag/intergender rules. Just let these guys/gals do the intergender thing with tag in tag out. It's a lot more simpler. I love Trish's tights It was okay when the girls were in. Wow King actually called a new move (with a woman). The black widow was cool, when Victoria held Trish on her shoulder facing up and then dropping her face/chest first on the mat(Trish again willing to take any spot) Impressive looking spot. What wasn't impressive was Heidenreich had Stevie up for what looks like a backbreaker on his shoulder and then just dropped him awkwardly onto the mat. Yikes, I guess he was thinking of his next spot of hugging and lifting and spinning Trish that he just wanted to end the match... I was kinda digging Heidenreich, unlike most new guys, he had a schtick and somewhat a personality(don't know how many). But he looks bad in there at times

-Michaels vs. Henry- Shawn had his working boots on bigtime lastnight. I usually don't like giving credit to one person and not the other in a good match. But his match really looked like all Shawn. In selling and bursts of speed, while Henry just looks fatter and luggier then ever. When Henry tried the Vaderbomb he almost landed on Shawns face when he was met with the knees. I would say this was okay-to good saved by Shawn... Afterwards Austin politely asks Shawn t leave

-Austin/Batista/Goldberg interaction- Austin calls Batista out, and he obliges. Austin gets the advantage but Henry gets up to get met with a stunner, where he sells it like a fat man (and Benoit LoL) and just bends over. This allows Batista to get the upperhand until Goldberg comes out. Where Henry gets hit again in the head with a chair. Goldberg spears Batista and spears Flair who came running out with impact. Next Week Goldberg-Batista. BE THERE!! or not it's really up to you.

-OtherStuff- Again Y2J and Stratus look great together. Trish just looks so comfortable interacting with him. Jericho is great asking around for her number haha. Then Trish saying "Oh yeah I saw Little Johnny backstage" and Jericho getting instantly upset. Okay I don't think Little Johnny is what we think it is, I'm guessing it's a puppet ala Rocco in the horrible days of LoD with Ellering in WWF... I'm not really feeling Christian & Lita and with that little smirk on Christian's face, I dont' think it's going to last. I'm thinking the return of Matt Hardy to Raw...

Austin was good backstage. Him asking HBK for help was very good, with HBK waiting for Austin to come out and ask him. Nicely played by both guys even if it lasted just a tad to long but still good... I kinda like Batista backstage as well. Yeah he's a huge guy but he doesn't seem just like yelling grunting heel and can actually cut a decent encounter like he did with Austin backstage...Austin says to Coach win or lose he can knock coach out after the PPV (that's what I thought as well when they first talked about that)... The flashback ambulance thing was cheesy... LoL during the weekend houseshow recap that had Trish-Austin on the beginning of the video package the thing. I know Trish (and I think Austin as well) didn't make this weekend houseshows but Lawler said "Trish was there, Austin was there" When they weren't and those two pictures were only introduction to the weekend houseshow package.

-Line of the Night: JERICHO "This guy is wonkers, what about his Little Johnny".. TRISH "Oh yeah, he showed it backstage".. JERICHO "He what?" ... I also have to go with JR talking about Jericho asking "What else would he be pulling" while he was looking at Trish wrestle LoL
-Sign of the Night: "Trish is God" - if so take me now lord
-3Stars of the Night: 1)HBK. 2)Victoria. 3)Y2J - There's actually a few that could have been tonight.

Last week I found bad, this week I think it picked back up to the level of previous weeks. The backstage stuff (except for Kane) was really good this week. The opening match was great. HBK/Henry was amazing just seeing what HBK can still pull off. All of the Austin stuff interested me and I am interested in the 10-man Raw SurvSeries match. The non-title tag was okay. Decent build to the women title match... The only downer I had was Storm/Val connection. And it is getting annoying them promoting HHH for the World title and he's not even on the show. Don't care at all about HHH/Goldberg or the World title.

I don't think anyone mentioned this, but wasn't Jericho leaving messages on Trish's cell last week? So how come he was asking for her number this week?

Edit: Thanks, Matt. I should have known that I wouldn't be the only one to notice something like that. The perils of only half-paying attention...

He was explaining sheepishly that he got her number from someone else and that he hoped she didn't mind. She answered that he could've just asked her, and (considering his recent behavior) she would have given it to him.

It was a pretty obviously a pre-recorded video package hyping Kane's match, not a "hey, look, Kane's doing something!" backstage interview segment. It wasn't supposed to be happening live. The problem is, neither JR nor Lawler said anything to that effect. Or to any effect, for that matter.

I believe it's "fing-longer" (since it's a long finger).

As for Goldust, doesn't he have an elbow injury?

So, Kane hired some actors, rented an ambulance & medic uniforms, in order to film a video package?

Yes. He hates Shane THAT MUCH

Something I haven't seen in this thread that bothered me is how Shawn and Stevo went on and on about how they haven't gotten along since WM XIV....I guess I'm the only guy that remembers Austin heading over to San Antonio for a session of heavy drinking with then-Commissioner Michaels in order to get him his match for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania XV. Of course, I only remember this because I wrote about it back then (slashwrestling.com). So....I wouldn't exactly slap them on the back for their use of continuity, myself. I'm a killjoy, I know.

I hear ya. I couldn't keep my eyes off her cleavage because I wasn't about to miss them popping out, which I was sure was going to happen everytime she bended over.

BTW, did Terri look like she had some facial work ? Her skin on her face looked pulled back and tighter than a piano string.

EXACTLY my thoughts when I read about this. Ohohoho, Shawn just picked up a bottle of Jack! Mwahahahaha! Of course, THEN we'd all remember that Vince once won the Royal Rumble-ohhhhhh let's not go there.

Why not? He's trying to get into Shane's head, it's an officially sanctioned match, it's at a major PPV. Is it so great a leap of logic to think that Bischoff would've allowed (or even ASKED) Kane to *gasp* film a promo?

I think a better logical explanation would be that Kane cut the promo, and production just decided to spice it up.
