I think Vince is pretty good, too. He can take bumps pretty well and is, for the most part, good on the microphone. He's just better when he has a stable of henchmen as opposed to just himself. I also hate Sable with a passion. Still, there are very few (none) CEOs of a Fortune 500 company that'll let their son smash a trash can into their face for the amusement of the paying customer.

Josh Beckett is God. If you don't believe me, ask the Yankees (or what's left of them after Georgie Porgie goes nuts).

I write for CSSA. You probably don't.

I don't mind Vince....Long as it's not too much. My only problem with him is that im not a big fan of the big and slow muscle wrestler(there are exceptions cause I dig the matches now and then).

But I actually have a friend who loves Vinnie Mac...his favorite wrestler even. He was literally pissed when Hogan beat him. ya kinda weird lol.

But like gugs says...Not many big business owners are getting suplexed a few times a year.

I object to him talking for 20 minutes each week while wrestlers are given five minutes to wrestle. The promos are secondary to the ring action, and he doesn't wrestle on 'free' TV but once in a blue moon. He's a great heel between the bells. Otherwise he's wasting my time.

And I think others could get the crowd going if they were given 20 minutes a week to yap and a prominent PPV match like Vince gets.

Shane, I like, but Monday's RAW exposed him and this angle. The crowd was dead quiet when he got on the mic. I also object to Shane stealing the Van Terminator, a move RVD (you know, the IC champ) can't use now.

I have to agree with Matt Tracker. Its not that I don't like Vince, because I do, but there are times when you have to say enough is enough. There are guys out there busting their humps day in and day out at house shows, while Vinnie Mac walks in and gets to wrestle just at the PPV--the big payday. Don't forget, when he wrestles, he gets paid as a performer as well. That is money that could go in some hard working wrestler's pocket. That's my biggest objection with him.

Why can't he? He's used it in the WWE before.

The man has an undeniable charisma that just works so well in his promos. I think his main problem is that he doesn't know when to pull back the reigns and stop riding it into the ground.

But who used it in WWE first? Shane. And Shane's used it twice in the past few weeks (if we count the replay of Test's injury). RVD? I don't remember him using it in his ladder match with Christian, which would be the most recent time he could have done it without getting DQ'd.

He could use it, sure, but Shane's using it more often these days. It's the closest thing Shane has to a finisher haveing beaten both Test and Big Poppa Vince with it.

I still don't see the issue with the whole Van Terminator deal. It's not a hugely unique move, just a variation on a weapons shot, more based aorund the athleticism that one must possess to do it. If Shane can pull it off, I don't see why he shouldn't claim it. he only wrestles sporadically-and almost always in garbage matches-whereas RVD has "straight" matches which preclude the use of it all the time. Besides, van Dam has a MUCH more kick-ass finisher in the FiveStar.

Vincent K. McMahon. Ah, simply put as the Beyond the Mat documentry said, "With a Shortage of HEELS Vince has decided to put himself against his top guy". A Golden moment happened when Vince vs Austin exploded on to our screens. The rest as they say is history.

I don't mind any of the McMahons when used sparingly. Like them or not, they can all contribute. Vince draws great heat, as can Steph in the right role. Shane is pretty over and can carry his end of a novelty feud now and then, and Linda makes a solid unbiased authority figure ala Jack Tunney. I think the consensus of the board is that none of them are bad characters in a vacuum; the problem comes from Shane overpowering the monster heel on Raw despite being a part-time wrestler and Vince vs. Steph being the main feud on Smackdown. If they toned it down for a while, I think they'd find that not only do they receive less criticism for pushing themselves but also that tangible business indicators (ratings, PPV buys, etc) of their worth would signal a greater value.

Meh. My whole issue with them is their absolute futility. I've grown weary of shows that expect us to believe they have no main event booked by the time the show starts airing, and some authority figure comes in and makes a match on a whim. It was a nice storytelling style but it has completely run its course.

Notice that in the 80's they did massive numbers, and not once did they start a Saturday Night's Main Event operating under the assumption no main event had been booked. The shows could run very smoothly without any storyline authority figures as part of the week-to-week. If they did away with that gimmick, there'd be no stale McMahons, no corrupt GM's, there'd be no announcer matches, less talking, and more wrestling. It'd be different, unique, for the first time in six or seven years. That'd be a bigger shake-up than the roster split was.

For me the Mr. McMahon character just really hit a wall this year. Not so long ago (even last year) when Vince's music hit my ears would perk up and my attention grabbed. But now for me he's just been so stale, portraying something I've seen him do better in the past. It's not that he's a bad character actor, he's still good. But he's just not fresh, it's been done, cycled and repeated at nauseam... We all know there's a RSPW award for most "Most Deteriorated Wrestler" but for me if there was a "Most Deteriorated On screen character" as a whole I would put Vince on top easily. Seeing him just doesn't feel special anymore.

The adulterer, we've seem him do that numerous of times with a number of women. What's the gasp and horror of doing it with Sable. Who cares! Oh yeah and having Sable mugging for the camera whenever Vince comes out doesn't help either (and I'm not saying I want a diva that I like and I find talented in that situation either because it's played out as hell). Even Vince's in-ring interviews seem generic and deja-vu like because we seen him going against the babyface for half a decade... Even Vince taking a bump/babyface finisher means nothing. I've seen him take stunners, rockbottoms and now Angleslams. It's just not a markout moment anymore.

Heck I liked the Invasion because at least Vince was doing something different and had different characteristics. But now it's just like the movie Groundhog Day. Make a match against the babyface, makeout with a women, does an evil laugh at the end or gets knocked down. And the cycle repeats itself... I think I started getting really bored of the McMahon character during the Hogan feud and then when it went to Stephanie, it became unwatchable as it became mindnumbing

I gotta agree with Hogan's My Dad. It needs a shakeup, let the wrestlers go in and out of their feuds on their own without any on screen administration setting stuff up and stacking the deck. Evil administration did work very well but I think it's really run it's course.

I used to like watching Vince. I used to love watching Stephanie. She sparkled.
We've just had too much Vince. And Stephanie wrestling with fairly even opponents would be tolerable. Better than Stacy or Jacky. But Steph without power - she just loses her sparkle.
I must agree that I don't care for wrestlers whose muscles slow them down. Brock's different. Maybe he gained some of that muscle working on the farm. Or maybe it's just the lack of steroids. Muscles and agility is good.

Dear Shane McMahon,
You do not lift other wrestler's moves! Not even if you are the bosses son!
Sincerely,
Lotus
