It's my life, my time, my rights, my rhyme. It's Ssssssmackdown!, from Albany, NY... and a Fashion Report, too! (#101, in fact).
Vince, in grey pinstriped suit with yellow shirt, with Sable, in black dress with red ribbon on the front. He speaks - the jist of it is that he's EVIL! The new GM is: Paul Heyman! Paul, in black suit, blue shirt and tie, with black Yankee's cap, is out. But before Paul can say much, Taker, in black open vest, black leather "Big Evil" pants, and black bandanna, is out. Paul uses his power to book a match - Taker vs. Brock and BigShow. If Taker wins, he gets to book any match of his choice.
Cena, in "Oklahoma State" jersey (#21 - Sanders), backwards black cap and black shorts, rapping-out Angle, and ATrain, in black undies with crests, vs. Angle, in red singlets with blue stars, and Benoit, in black tights with blue splats. Henber, in blue shirt, officiates. Benoit misses with a chairshot; Angle takes offense and the two go at it. No contest? Still a nice match, with the prospect of more to come.
FOOTAGE! of the black misting. Noble, via Nidia's webcam, talks about Nidia.
In the back, Benjamin/Haas talk. The reunite with Paul, who turns on them; he un-books the Tag Title match, instead making it Bashams vs. Guerreros. Meanwhile, Vince resides with Sable in a luxury suite at the arena.
Stu Hart tribute, this time with Michael Cole narrating.
Tazz, in black suit, purple shirt, tie and orange hanky, and Cole, in black polo shirt, commentate.
Benjamin/Haas, in red shirts with white sleeves and red warmup pants, with maroon singlets with white trim thereunder, vs. Scotty2Hotty, in yellow wifebeater and black pants, and Rikishi, in black manskirt with red dragon-star, black rider-uppers thereunder, and "Rikishi" belt. Korderas, wearing the blue of authority, referees. Really, I don't mind the Worm, but the ass-worshiping stinkface is too much. Sitting on Benjamin by Rikishi for the pin. An average match. Post-match there is dancing. Tazz goes off about haberdashery. In Vince's suite, Taker does some intimidation.
In the back, Eddie gets glued-up. Chavo is intense, and kinda heelish.
Bashams, both in black leather pants, with Shaniqua, in silver hotpants and bikini top (and new boobs) with nightstick, vs. a black white-topped low-rider, with FOOTAGE!, driven by Eddie, in red "Latino" tights with black/gold flames, and Chavo, in red tights with splats, both wearing the Tag Titles. Nick Patrick is the ref. Illegal Basham switch + nightstick shot to a pin. Average match. Post-match interview with Josh, Shaniqua says it's time to "celebrate". Ewwwwww.
Tajiri, in black pants with dragons and flaming left hem, wearing the Cruiserweight Title, vs. Zach, in black one-sleeved "ZG" tshirt and red "ZG" shorts. Mike Sparks is the referee. BoottotheHead to the pin. An average match. Post-match, two black-suited oriental guys come in to celebrate with Tajiri.
In the back, Brock and BigShow get on the same page. Man, the US Title is small on BigShow's shoulder. Meanwhile, Vince and Sable settle-down in their luxury box.
Bob Holly, with FOOTAGE!, is coming for Brock.
Video tribute to Hawk, narrated by Michael Cole.
Brock, in black undies with butt-ribs, wearing the WWE Title, and BigShow, in black one-strap singlet, the US Title slung over his shoulder, vs. Taker, on his bike (ha - see them move the steps), in black sleeveless "Worldwide Evil" tshirt, black singlet and same pants. Hebner officiates. Chokeslam to a pin for Taker. Then Paul comes out to announce it's a two-of-three falls match. Adbreak. Taker by countout, but Paul announces there are no countouts. Bigshow chairshot for a DQ, but then Paul announces there are no DQs. THEN, Taker iwth a chain-loaded punch for a pin. An average match. Post-match, a beatdown.
Vince is down to talk trash to Taker. Taker books a Buried-Alive match between himself and Vince at Survivor Series. This was handled in an anti-climactic manner.
Overall: An okay show. But, really, the Main Event just dragged on; too much jerking-around of the fans. And the final 5-minute segment didn't help much, either.
John Cena in an Oklahoma State jersey!!!(wipes away the tear.) Angle and Benoit in the same ring!? Mystic Gohan will never tire of seeing these 2 go at it. The main event was the bad thing about this show, too slow. Other than that, this show ruled. I hope at Survivor Series Angle and Benoit are involved in a match somehow, i would so forget that atrocious No Mercy, please WWE? Pretty please? Survivor Series looks like:
Confirmed:
Buried Alive Match: Undertaker Vs. Vince McMahon
Some kind of weird stip match, or a normal match, or a falls count aywhere match, who knows? Kane Vs. Shane McMahon
Team Bischoff Vs. Team Stone Cold
-Probably Triple H Vs. Goldberg Vs. Michaels still up in the air with the rest...
long live angle and benoit ; )
Do you think of me...do you dream of me?...I always dream about you...
It was ok show:)....Better than the last few(not sayin much)
Paul has my hopes up a little bit
More Angle vs Benoit....yay default SD goodness!
Where did the cruiseweights go? Brock didn't even sqaush any...weird...yay velocity? Mattitude was missing also.
The Worm was cute in 2001(only a little bit)...and Rikishi's Ass looks bigger. I really liked the expression on Shelton's face, he looked in deep thought while the jokers were getting in the ring.
God knows I love asian people....yay Yang/Tajiri, Will the japanese or italian mob ever get to be a face group? Dude says it look's doubtful
The Main Event was boring as could be..and the post match segment was sleep worthy.
Yang better have a match next week...against Spanky or London..I better get my weekly dose of Mattitude... or I'll....I'lll.....tune in next week..*sigh*
"dubya never talks while cheney is drinking water...check that shit out"
WATCH! Kurt Angle turn for no reason and prevent Cena from getting the pin he needs!
MARVEL! At TWGTT jobbing cleanly to a comedy team!
GAZE UPON! The green and unover Bashams winning the tag titles!
SEE! The Undertaker pin the US and WWE champs so he can feud with A MOTHERFUCKING NON-WRESTLER!
I hate WWE Creative!

Paul has indeed dropped some weight. But my God, man, cut that Shetland ponytail.
Benoit's black outfit is lethal cool. The refs arrive after Angle gets in the Crossface, effectively rescuing him. So who looks tougher here? Benoit. Finally.
I think this is the very first time I've heard Charlie Haas talk. Apparently Rikishi's new contract entitled him to eat the corpses of any recently deceased wrestlers because he's getting bigger. Scotty 2 Hotty is the master of hiptosses but Zach done stole his hopping stylie.
Shaniqua is the queen of SmackDown on a show with suddenly no women. No Torrie, no Nadia, no Dawn. There is but one and her name is Amaz-- I mean, Shaniqua. But she's always be Linda to us.
Tajiri's crew could make for a killer stable feud with the FBI, especially wrapped around a Nunzio/Tajiri belt angle.
I've already stated that I have no problem with Bob Holly given a short feud with Brock. He'll lose but only because Brock will cheat, solidifying his heel status and Holly's tough gimmick.
The handicap match was *not bad*. The big guys worked for at least 15 minutes and were tossing each other around well. Taker, however, is looking ancient and I wish he'd go back to the undead guy with purple gloves.
It's amazing. Both Raw and SD were good this week. Not just acceptable. GOOD.

Did anyone else notice the look of utter terror on Bob Holly's face during his promo, especially when they did the close-up?
The tough "I'm gonna take you out" bit was sort of ruined... I kept expecting his voice to crack right before he wet himself, gave a shrill little "eek" and ran away.
Boy, am I ever excited to see THAT match!

Was I the only one who found Kurt's shiny singlet as disturbing as Mark Henry's infamous white outfit? Just a little TOO much definition there, guy...
Scotty looked a little slower than he used to, but that's not surprising considering how long he's been on the shelf.
"I do have a degree in electrical engineering... from almost 20 years ago. Punchcard systems were just becoming obsolete, we had rotary phones in the dorms, and a modem was still a gizmo the size of a shoebox into which you squooshed the phone receiver itself. In short, we lived like animals.
The instant obsolesence is why I became a writer. The rate of punctuation in a sentence doesn't double every 18 friggin' months, and you never have some 22-year-old looming over your shoulder, shaking his head, saying "dude... you're still using adverbs...?"

Well, this may not be the 'definition' you noticed, but I had one of those "Stupid Sexy Flanders" moments during a Kurt Angle go-behind (hence the name?) early in the match.
Suffice to say, I was watching baseball within 2.7 seconds.

Brock should not have to cheat to beat Holly. Now, he can cheat if he just wants to be a dick, but there's no way Brock *needs* to cheat to beat Holly.

They really should add a few more Survivor Series matches just because they have so man guys to choose from they could have...
Team Evolution (Flair, Orton, Batista, Mary Henry?) vs. Team Maven (Maven, Jindrak, Cade, Shawn MIchaels?)
Team Tajiri (Tajiri, Yang, Sakoda, Kendo Ka Shin?, Kenzo Suzuki? they've both been to tev tapings before I believe) vs. Team Noble (Noble, Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Kidman, Gowen)
Team Angle (Angle, WGTT, Eddie, Rikishi) vs. Team Benoit (Benoit, Bashams, Chavo, Cena) Although if they wanted to put Benoit and Angle in a title match with Brock then that's fine by me.
Also I'd expect a women's match from the Raw side. Maybe a four way?
Scotty 2 Hairline looked reeeaaaaaly dated out there last night. Granted, he was slower as expected, but it looks like he's aged about 10 years. I couldn't help but think of Road Dogg for some reason. I'm guessing it goes a few weeks before he shaves the head and turns.
Good to see him back in the ring. It's always nice to see people come back from injuries like that.

But that's part of the success of a purely dickish heel: He doesn't HAVE to cheat to win, but he's taking the shortcut. Brock, if for no other reason than his status, should kill Holly. But Holly is playing the righteous wounded against the heel champ beast. If Brock doesn't cheat, the crowd will get behind him like Romans at the Coliseum. It's entirely possible that Holly's angle won't fly with the crowd anyway, and they could cheer for Brock to put Holly through the ring.
"To be the man, you gotta beat demands." -- The Lovely Mrs. Tracker
-Vince/Heyman/Undertaker interview- Vince brags about beating Steph, Vince brags for doing Sable. Calls out Heyman as GM. I guess if we *must* have a GM then Heyman's a nice choice. Personally I'd like to have one show where the wrestlers get involved in storylines themselves (like the old way of doing things)... And isn't a GM pretty much worthless and nulled when the owner is on every other segment.
-Albert/Cena vs. Angle/Benoit- Benoit got himself some better looking tights. Both Angle and Benoit did their Germans on Albert. AT-rain makes a save on Cena from the sharpshooter and anklelock. Atrain held Benoit foot who went for a kick on him and whiffed him (U f''ed up!! kidding). Benoit gave a pretty weak "accidental chair shot" that looked Albert was no where in line of the swing... Benoit and Angle start scrapping for whatever reason.
-Rikishi/Scotty vs. Worlds Greatest TagTeam- Oh Rikishi is back, I thought he was let go? WGTT double team Scotty until he hits the tag to Rikishi who cleans up, trying to set up the worm and finally do. Worm then the stinkface and party's over... Urhhh the Stinkface, the most obnoxious and embarrassing move in wrestling.
-Basham Brothers vs. Los Guerreros- Shaniqua has the most impressive and memorable offense in Team S&M, with a pretty vicious kick into Eddie's head. Beautiful swinging DDT by Chavo. Nice block of the Ball & Gag by Eddie. The ending got really exciting and cool planned out finishing minute (One girl in the second row really sold it LoL Hands on head dissapointment and everything)... Despite that The Bashams have no business being champions of any sorts now. Majority of people can't (nor care enough) to tell them apart, and they are the ones that beat Los Guerreros. Bashams have potential but this is totally jumping the gun.
-Tajiri vs. Gowen- Tajiri is one of the few guys I mark out all the time for. I had to laugh him no selling the USA chant but just bowing. Kinda of like saying "Thank you, I know where I am" LoL. Zach looked okay in there with a nice leg lariat springing off the bottom rope, looked alittle odd him doing a sunset flip rollup pin attempt only able to hook one shoulder... Tajiri was great, making Zach taste a hard kick to the shoulder and after a missed moonsault by Zach setting up and delivering the kick o'doom to the head (which Tazz did a good job setting up the warning)... Some hired Japanese suit wearing goons came out of the crowd looking pretty sharp hitting a solid legsweep/clothesline. This reminds me of The Simpsons mafia episode, they need a tiny guy in a white suit to just stand there. These guys are already head and shoulder above The FBI. The need a feud with Taker to knock them down to FBI level.
-Undertaker vs. BigShow/Lesner- When I looked at my watch and saw half hour past I thought "huh". How they going pull this off, they didn't. A few nice spurts by the guys like the chokeslam on BigShow from the turnbuckle, but mostly much of nothing but "lets put the odds against Taker and have him win anyway" stuff. I guess that's his reward for putting Brock over so well with only 4 guys help and lights shutting off... So Undertaker pretty much beats up the WWE and US champ 4 to zero in this match. Lesner who beats Angle clean and BigShow who beat Eddie clean. But Undertaker can get 2 pinfalls and 2 technical wins over these guys on one night. Only to set up this 40 something year old to go against a 50 something year old owner at a PPV. Why are they using the World Champ as fodder for this feud. And even worse 25% of a split PPV is taken up by singles matches concerning McMahons. Ahhhh
-OtherStuff- One thing I did like was Noble's webcam. Pretty funny talking about "This fancy computer and webcam". Nidia is a fan of being online? Cool!... I completely forgot Heyman managed Worlds Greatest TagTeam... I laughed out loud seeing Bob Holly talking tough to Brock, riiiight Bob keep picking on Tough Enough kids... Undertaker's voice was cracking when he went up to the private box and confront Vince. That was strange LoL.
-Line of the Night: Heyman "Like Britney Spears says 'oops I did it again'" -BestWorst sign of the Night: "Bring Back Stephanie" - She's not even gone yet and you already bringing this stupid sign. I want to hurt those people -3Stars of the Night: 1)Tajiri. 2)Shaniqua. 3)Heyman - Gawd this night was tough to pick three
Once again Smackdown left me very dry. With the exception of Tajiri clan nothing is captivating me on this show at all. Switching the titles to The Bashams now, these guys are just not ready. Your World Champion and US champion being used as fodder for Vince/Undertaker is just bad. Heyman is fun to watch but how much teeth does his character have when Vince is running around being evil?... Raw seems so much better hitting on multiple interesting stories and character. SD is just spinning it's wheels it's seem, the only thing that's making me want to tune next Thursday is to see where the Tajiri posse is going.
I'm back, folks! The damn computer suddenly got retarded this week, but I nursed it back to health. I was actuallly out last night applying for a cushy government job (since the office thing isn't enough financially thanks to the holidays coming up).
So I come home, it's about five minutes to ten, I decided to check in on Smackdown post-Steph. What do I see? COMMERCIALS?! Anyway, I programmed the show, so I went back to the tape. Whole lot of NOTHIN' going on, I see. Nice to see Paul again, but I just don't know about this.... Apparently, it's pretty much as I expected, and I didn't even read the spoilers this week, LOL! Is that an accurate summary of the state of WWE or what?
Anyway, what I did see without FFing was pretty boring. It was just...lame. I'll get deeper into detail about the insanity of Vince in a separate thread.
After a quarter of a century on this planet, there's three things I know for sure... 1)I'm smarter than I was a year ago. 2)WWE isn't. 3) I'd make a fine Mrs. HHH II. 1300 bitches and counting....
"Majority of people can't (nor care enough) to tell them apart, and they are the ones that beat Los Guerreros."
That's nobody's fault but the fans. The two guys have totally different builds and totally different faces; if you haven't got the attention span to tell 'em apart then you should stick to Sesame Street.
And Lo, The Urine Shall Flow Freely In The Aisles, As Small Children And Frail Old Ladies Flee Before The Brutality, The Might, The Sheer Viciousness...Of ~EVIL COACH~!
I thought Smackdown was OK, nothing unmissable though. There's a lot of potential from top to bottom on the roster, I just hope that potential is realised.
Also, I'm hoping for a kick ass fancy dress Halloween party next week on Smackdown. The one last year was awesome.
It's almost laughable the way they dropped the ball with Eddy Guerrero. It's like it doesn't matter how over a guy gets, they already have it set in their minds who's a Main Eventer and who's not.
Vince McMahon is the top heel on Smackdown. Above the US Champion and above the WWE Champion. Your two biggest champions, heels, and bad asses are fodder for Vince. And they'll wonder why Brock can't draw on his own.
Chavo's gotta be pissed. He finally got some exposure and a good thing going with Eddy and now they're going to split them up and in a few months Chavo will be a Velocity regular.
Tajiri is fucking awesome. Plain and simple, he's got so much charisma. Sakoda's not good at all though but hopefully Yang can carry that team although I wasn't overly impressed with Yang in All Japan. He had Kaz Hayashi to carry the team there.
