I've always looked for a place as to where I could bash a few of the wrestling sites of the internet and looks like I've found a place. I'm gonna rant on a few wrestling message boards now. I've meaning to get this off my chest for a while. Some boards you may know, some boards you may not know, but here I go!
rec.sport.pro-wrestling
It's this thing on usenet that I check out through groups.google.com because I don't know how to work usenet. The majority of the people there seem to be Star Wars dorks who nitpick every last damn thing. It has no moderater which is why 50% of the posts there are spam. Also, too many staleass "Triple H holds down _________" jokes and Demolition (old WWF tag team) jokes which no one but them would find funny. Has seen better days.
Wrestlezone.com Forums
It does get a lot of traffic, but the majority of the people there are like 13 year old kids in middle school with every sentence being "yer gay", not to mention that the people there are as dumb as rocks. Very juvenile to say the least and if you wanna be interacting with a bunch of middle schoolers, then you shouldn't bother going there. It's like 100 Jpvillag's posting there, seriously.
This is a wrestling diva message board in coordination with some of those fruity wrestling diva sites with layouts that look like carbon copies of every other wrestling fansite on the internet. Hmm, the majority of the people there seem to be dumb 15 year old girls, like 90% of the people there are girls. Also, the tone of the that message board is like it's all TEA AND CRUMPETS and how everyone is so HAPPY!!!! Pretty much no bashing whatsoever. It's not that bad as they have some good discussions, but the diva world isn't all smiles and sunshine as they'd have you believe.
WrestlingClassics.com
Too many golden oldies there and anything "politically incorrect" gets filtered. Also a lot of tiresome WWE bashing where they act like they're too good to watch it and how Florida Wrestling from the 70's is better than it or if you don't say that Lou Thesz would beat God via heelhook in 2:21 minutes you're looked down upon. WrestlingClassics is pretty good for old time stuff (hence the name) but the people there are clueless. Like, if Smarks were conservatives, these guys would be the friggin' Christian Coalition!
I'm sick of the crap that goes there so I making a comeback there and and I plan on riling up the many 30-40 year olds of that board. I know what makes them tick, just insult Ric Flair or there 70's wrestling territories and they'll get on you like Stephanie McMahon on a baked ham.
Also note that Crimson Mask guy is the biggest asshole I've ever seen in my life.
RajahWWF.com Forums
Hordes and hordes of obnoxious, whiny, bitchy teenagers that think they know better or can do better than the WWE. 90% of the people there are mindless sheep too that just go with popular opinion to "fit in". It's like a high school but in wrestling message board form. Not as dumb as the Wrestlezone KIDZZZ, but after 10 minutes there you just wanna strangle all the pricks there. Or at least I do.
And that wraps this up. I might make a part two because I have a few wrestling boards in mind which I left out.

I've got nothing to add, I just loved that turn of phrase.

Welcome to the internet. Just replace 'WWE' with anything and that just about describes nearly every message board.

So he could replace "WWE" with "NAMBLA" and get the same result?
Those "North American Marlon Brando Look Alikes" forums can get pretty snooty!

Wait, there are other wrestling messageboards beside the W?
Of all the gizmos forced upon us by the modern world, is any more melancholy than the leaf blower? The device is manifestly useless. It blows leaves from one place to another, and then the wind blows them back again. -- Roger Ebert
Watching that movie was like watching a young child be repeatedly punched in the face.-- my friend Dave after watching Bad Boys II
Your children will laugh when you're dead!-- Jason Robards in "A Thousand Acres"
I can tell you with no ego that this is my finest blade. If you should encounter God, God will be cut.-- Sonny Chiba in "Kill Bill: Volume 1"
I would gladly pay $10.00 to see a kangaroo kick the shit out of Jeff Jarrett.-- Bubblesthechimp

The Axe and Smash jokes are hilarious, it's the Crush jokes that suck!

I'm part of an oldschool wrestling board were former wrestlers like the stro, paul bearer, dusty wolfe and ken timbs have posted/post. we're not like wrestling classics. We have fun and have intelligent wrestlings threads. I think it just goes with the territory...
The one thing about most message boards and chat rooms is that they are basically a caste society. Unless you got a good reputation or you've got 30000 posts no one will give a shit about what you have to say, good or bad.
And yeah, you can basically break them down into two groups. One, a bunch of highschool kids with JUgGaLO, XtReMe or XHaRdCoReX in their name, whose deep questions and comments will not stray from "What iz the gratezt Hardcore Match?", "Best of Backyard 3 iz the shiznitz yo" and lets not forget, "Check out my E-fed Ultra Violent Xtreme Hardcore Death Bloodshed gorey Wrestling" (I seriously think the brass here have a secret Anti-Juggalo policy.) Or, you got the old men boards where they ramble on and on about obscure NWA cards from the 50's and 60's, and anything after 1980 requires thrashing. So it all basically the same house, just painted differently.
The thing about the wienerboard is that everyone cares about what i have to say. Well, most of you. Okay, 4 or 5 of you care. Yet, I don't feel the negativity here that I felt at most places. Which is why I enjoy this board. However, I would be curious as to what other boards say about us.
I may be ugly, but your stupid, and I can get a job.

If it helps you sort us out, I'm one of the ones that doesn't care what you have to say.
Just kidding. I agree that this place doesn't care so much about how many posts you have as much as the content of your posts. I'd say (and this may be a generalization) that 99.99% of the message boards out there are clouded by people that have races to get to 50'000 posts even if they just keep replying casual conversation to each other in a thread like it's a chat room, taking breaks to brag about their new 'status' when they hit a milestone.

....yet.
Pardon my lack of faith. Actually, doesn't Steph's revelation that Vince made her trick for business associates at the age of 17 count? It's tacky, to say the least.
