I can't help it - I've searched and found nothing. What did Bradshaw do, to whom, in the locker room? I've heard jokes about him, but if it's as bad as I imagine, how does he survive backstage with people who know about it?

An old WCW referee who was turfed out during the InVasion storyline because he bought a first class ticket WITH HIS OWN MONEY told the story of many hazing rituals of which Bradshaw was the focal point.

He mentioned Bradhsaw once threatened him with rape.

Bradshaw seems to like having forced sex with guys in showers. Hey, it's not my thing, but whatever works for him, right?

"Bradshaw seems to like having forced sex with guys in showers. Hey, it's not my thing, but whatever works for him, right?"

Sorry, but this is the most fucking dumb post I have ever read. Dance around it all you want, make childish allusions to it, fine, but to just come out and say it is ridiculous and-in any other forum, ie. a newspaper-would be grounds for a lawsuit. There is no evidence whatsoever to even hint at Bradshaw doing the kinda things you accuse him of, and yet it's obviously perfectly fine for you to do so just because one disgruntled employee mentioned "a threat of rape" which could so easily be bogus. You want to call him a shitty worker who has no place being in the position that he is? Fine, as a matter of fact I totally agree with that. But drop the groundless insinuations and allegations of something as serious as male rape.

Bradshaw stripped Brian Lawler and hogtied him in the shower then got naked himself and threatened to rape him. Lawler was crying and screaming but Bradshaw let him go because it was "just a rib".

Around the time of the story with the referee, several wrestlers told the above story on radio shows but didn't mention Lawler's name. I think it was Dave Meltzer who said on his show that the person everyone was referring to was Lawler.

Wow. How incredibly fucked up, inappropriate and out of line. If this did happen, Lawler should have pressed charges and Bradshaw's fucking ass should have been fired.

Uh.....huh. So who were the wrestlers? Seriously. This intrigues me, because I'm pretty sure nobody working under contract would make such accusations, and those that weren't but were at some point would most definitely have a reason to get pissy with the WWF. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but in July 2001 (aorund the period that the ref was fired), Brian Lawler was just two months shy of being fired for drugs offences. He probably asn't in a very pro-WWF place at the time, and if Bradshaw was a guy who a)treated him like shit or b)pissed him off some other way then it'd be easy to jump on this ref's accusation and say "Hey, he did that to me too!".

Bottom line, making unfounded accusations of rape-especially when the only evidence you have to back it up are the allegations of a handful (at most) of potentially disgruntled wrestlers from TWO YEARS AGO-is totally ridiculous and pretty disgusting. It's got no place on a discussion board about an on-air product. We're qualified to make judgements on what we see on TV-and, to certain extent, backstage, seeing as some influences and whatnot are reflected in the on-air show. We are NOT qualified to automatically assume that every rumor is true and proceed to bring it up for over two years, especially when it concerns something as heinous as rape.

That is all.

The Bradshaw/rape story did not involve Billy Silverman. When Silverman began complaining that Bradshaw picked on him, Bob Ryder, still unhappy about being out of a job with WCW going under, printed several vague stories about wrestlers being hazed. One of them involved a wrestler being tied up, thrown in the shower, and threatened with rape.

The Torch newsletter went further into it, saying the incident did happen but that there was more to the story. The wrestler who was tied up had basically been going around bragging about his exploits as a date rapist, telling stories about how he'd been slipping GHB into women's drinks and having sex with them while they were out.

The shower "hazing" was the locker room's way of letting the wrestler know that sort of thing isn't tolerated. And as mentioned, the wrestler in question was later identified by Dave Meltzer as being Brian Christopher.

Many wrestlers commented to the dirtsheets that Billy Silverman's claims of hazing were blown completely out of proportion, and WCW wrestlers said that he'd been that way for years. Even if you think it's a foolish rule that someone can't pay to upgrade their flight to first class, it's a rule WWE wrestlers follow, and Silverman knowingly chose to ignore it. Most of the wrestlers could probably fly first class, they just don't. It's one of the many ways he made a bad impression on his new co-workers.

Oh my God. And nobody objected to this? I mean, I wouldn't shun him forever over that, but I might what to keep an eye on the rookies until they're all done showering. Not literally, of course.

The only wrestlers/referees who've spoken about Bradshaw bullying them have been Billy Silverman and the Blue Meanie.

WWF wrestlers did not go around on radio shows speaking out about the Bradshaw/shower incident, they quietly told the Torch and Observer the real reason it happened. It wasn't until much later that Meltzer let Lawler's identity slip.

You only read the first post or two didn't you?

Read the post right above yours and you'll get a much clearer view of the situation.

By the way, the most severe things I've heard about Bradshaw have never passed being "vague conjecture", and even his famous incident with Sable wasn't half as bad as the "ribs" they used to pull in the 80s and early 90s. Some of the things guys from back then talk about are just awful.

Wisconsin Badgers: 6-2 (What a sever letdown. The fact that despite getting outclassed the whole game, we stayed in it gives me a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season.)

Minnesota Vikings: 5-0 (Bye week means I don't have to care as much about football on Sunday! I hope Culpepper rests up.)

There's also a story about Bradshaw in The Hardy Boyz' book about him treating them like shit for a long time because they didn't want to drink.

He also shit in Rena Mero's bag and did stuff to Tiger Ali Singh's turban.

Although, my favorite Bradshaw story is the one about him trying to pick on STEVE BLACKMAN~! at an airport.

Just FYI, but around the time of the Silverman hazing stories, one of the sheets actually interviewed Bradshaw about the situation. He politely disagreed, disputed a few points, and said he was sorry things had worked out like they had. He was so polite that he even referred to Billy as "Mister Silverman" throughout the interview.

Re: "famous incident with Sable", when she walked out and sued the company, one of her complaints was that some "fee-sheeze", as Vince would say, ended up in her bag. I don't remember if it was confirmed that Bradshaw was the culprit, since there was probably a long list of people who wanted to do it.

Other suspects have arisen since then, too. In Chyna's book she mentions Kane offering to crap in someone's bag. In Jerry Lawler's book he mentions someone crapping in his crown when he first came to the WWF. In Bobby Heenan's book, he named Undertaker as the one who did it. One of the sheets mentioned a rib where someone crapped in a bag and put it in a space heater in Vince McMahon's backstage office, but I don't recall who it was.

Does anyone else feel like such childish and inapproprate behavior is one reason why wrestlers have such bad reputations in mainstream society? I'm sorry, but that kind of stuff isn't cool...

If that were true then every single pro sport would have a bad rep, and while that may be kind of true, I don't think the rep of, say, football is as bad as that of wrestling.

Please share this picking on Steve Blackman story I have never heard it but I hope it ends with Blackman kicking Bradshaw's ass. If not I'll make up my own later and giggle.

I love how the ladies, and mediq, unilaterally believe Bradshaw is a disgusting male rapist pig without even considering the other point of view.

Please note that I said IF it happened. I have no idea if Bradshaw did anything of the sort -- but IF it happened, Lawler (or whoever) should have pressed charges and Bradshaw should have been fired. I've made no accusations about anyone, but you did just accuse me of being narrow-minded. Pot, Kettle wants to coordinate wardrobes.

TLW, I think I know the Blackman/Bradshaw story. Apparently, they were at an airport and Bradshaw thought it would be funny to toss Steve onto the luggage conveyer (IIRC). Steve turned around and planted Bradshaw with a kick to the head. I believe the two laughed about it, afterwards.

Bradshaw pushed Blackman onto one of those baggage conveyor belts at an airport so Blackman knocked him out with one kick to the face, picked up his bag, and walked away.

It wouldn't hurt if they actually let Goldust win a match one in a while. I don't remember him getting a pin since his return.
