from rajah: Yes, The Rock has been successful in Hollywood and currently has several feature film roles lined up, however he isn't planning to retire from wrestling anytime soon. He was quoted as saying the following when talking to Channelnewsasia.com:
"I look forward to being challenged as an actor, but I love going back to the ring to have fun with the fans. That interaction, I love. So, I can honestly say I don't think I'll officially retire. I don't want to be one of those guys who retires and then three months later says 'I'm back!'"
I don't think it's really any news. I remember on the WWE website they had video of the Rock addressing the crowd after he lost to Goldberg. He sold the spear/jackhammer throughout his speech. The crowd started chanting, Goldberg Sucks! Goldberg Sucks! THe Rock told them that no, goldberg doesn't suck. He then went on to say that he'd be back and that this isn't the end, but he'd be away for awhile. I'm sure someone was there and remembers more of what he said and can fill all that in.
You Samoans are all the same. You have no faith in the essential decency of the white man's culture.
I guess this means Rocky's a lock Wrestlemania 20. They REALLY need to have someone start calling him out on WWE TV. Have someone (John Cena would be perfect) just come out and suddenly start making challenges to The Rock and build up to a big Wrestlemania 20 clash.
Hey, it worked with Austin, didn't it?
LS: Alright, we hardly gotten any airtime and we still aren't over. Anymore ideas? GD: Can you stare at your hand and spin on your head? Or better yet, we can have you shilling HUNGRY MAN DINNERS! LS: That...is very disturbing.
