If you haven't heard the new Sevendust album "Seasons" ... you should ... it's an freakin' awesome record ... it was produced by Butch Walker (formerly the front man of Marvelous 3 & now a sola artist/producer/artist collaborator.

I haven't heard any of it yet, but I have heard good things about it. "Animosity" was a dissapointment for me, so here's to hoping "Seasons" kicks it's ass. It seems as though now is a good time to dig on the heavy music.
Speaking of heavy music, that Killswitch Engage album is almost perfect. The riffs are killer. It's starting to sound like people wanna show there chops again. If it had just a little more vocal melody in there...

I thought "Animosity" was a solid disc, though I can see where one would not dig it as much as Sevendust's earlier records ... I'll agree that it was more of a "commercial/radio friendly" disc.

I don't think that "Animosity" was a bad disc by any means. It's just that none of the songs really stuck with me. Some things I did notice were the excellent backing vocals by Clint Lowery and the bitchin druming. Of course, I've only listened to it a few times.
That said, I often "rediscover" albums that I originally thought didn't quite make the grade. Perhaps I'll listen to Animosity today.
I picked it up last week. Definitely a great disc. I really think "Broken Down" will make them a mainstream band. The production is tight, it's heavier than Animosity, but not as heavy as the S/T or Home. Overall, though, it's really awesome.
