I havent seen RAW last show yet....but the last impression i have about HBK & Goldberg, was Shawn Michaels trying to rescue Goldberg (for second time).

The Result? HBK accidentally gets a Spear from Goldberg... Both Wrestlers finally beat the bounty hunters who went against the head's champ...but Goldberg didnt apologize with shawn...not even gives a " thank you for the help"

Say...do you think my fellow Wieners that this could be a new feud?

Cheers

Well, Goldberg will beat Shawn next week, which I think is a freaking travesty. God I hate Goldberg. Maybe Shawn is making a heel turn, and will get DQ'ed or such. I'd buy that.

I'm looking for a Nash appearance ... question is will HBK side with him or not?

No way this match ends cleanly. There will be a run-in DQ, I say that with almost certainty. They can't be stupid enough to give away the Goldberg-Michaels match w/finish for free...can they?

With Kane facing Shane and HHH apparently not coming back in time, I could see a Nash appearance leading to a Goldberg vs. Michaels vs. Nash match at Survivor Series (now we'll see how good Shawn REALLY is, eh?) with the storyline heading in being the question of whether Michaels helps his old buddy collect the bounty or whether he stays a face.

I like seeing Shawn conflicted. Ric trying to corrupt him and just going off the deep end shows off his acting skills, too. Shawn's depth just saved that scene where half the roster came out from being cheesy.
This has potential to be psychological, though I'm not holding my breath.
I hate Goldberg, too. Him talking to Shawn was a demonstration in how charisma is an innate gift.
As a side note, Shawn apologizes for things he regrets?
Ah, well, maybe they don't have any continuity.
Ric's words are very polemic, aren't they?

It's actually a nice character piece. Here we have Shawn, the born-again Christian, being tempted by Ric Flair (Mephistopheles) and the $100,000, tempting him to return to his old "Show-stopper" way of wrestling. Also, the fact that the man Shawn would have to "betray" hasn't been doing anything to endear himself to Shawn lately.

A shame that they couldn't draw this out for a few more weeks. But if, like others are suggesting, Nash returns next week and HE (Nash) is the one to beat-up Goldberg, keeping Shawn's hands clean (and his decision unmade), then we can get some good, thought-provoking storytelling.

Or maybe I'm giving the writers too much credit.

So far no one has mentioned the danger Shawn is in. His back has held strong for over a year, but this is Goldberg.
His other feuds have been with trustworthy technical wrestlers. Goldberg hurts people. He ended the career of...nevermind, this week the Attitude Towards the Hitman Card reads: tasteful respect. So just forget I said that.

Hey...now there's an idea.
This weeks

WWE : Respectful, put his finisher over.
TNA : Massive insult, completely uncalled for punking out.

By the way, props to Wagner jr. for a very grammatical post.

Good points; it seems to me that WWE fans really haven't warmed up to Goldberg, nor do they appear likely to anytime soon. While the reasons why they haven't could make for an interesting discussion (Do you blame Goldberg's one-dimensional character? The WWE's writers/bookers? Linda McMahon publicly calling him a "disappointment"?) the bottom line is that Goldberg is far from being the most popular baby face in the company, or even on the RAW roster. On the other hand Shawn Micheals is still a huge crowd favorite (at least south of the US/Canadian border). Now this is just my opinion, of course, but it seems that WWE's best course of action would be to keep Michaels a face while turning Goldberg heel. This way they would be responsive to the fans' preferences (something they've been failing to do of late) while also adding some depth to the Goldberg character. This would also allow WWE to keep Kevin Nash a face (yes, I know many here don't enjoy hearing this, but Nash does seem to get very positive reactions from WWE crowds) aligned with his buddy Shawn (perhaps even having Nash on his return save Michaels from a beatdown from Goldberg). Again, this is just my opinion, but that's the way I would have it play out.

I thought the word on Nash was that he was (surprise surprise) injured again, and thus his feud with Goldberg was being scrapped.

Though it would make sense to have Goldberg as a heel (it would've made sense for him to come in this was from Day One), ol' Bill wants to be a face in order to keep from disappointing his young fans. On that note....what a mark.

What's to stop, say, 20 Raw wrestlers from gang-assaulting Goldberg and collecting $5000 each?

Nash had the Kurt Angle Neck Surgery (probably on a recomendation from Hall) and will be back just in time for the...wait for it....ROYAL RUMBLE.

Man, I hope Nash wrestles for another ten years and gets injured every year and tells everyone that he plans to be back in time for the Rumble. That could be the best running gag in wrestling.

I don't think this thing with Shawn will go too much longer, but he's easily positioned in this spot because of all his acknowledged ties to HHH. I'd give Shawn's run at him another week or two, and then dish Shawn back into the Evolution feud (I'd like to see him team with Flair to fight an Orton/Maven led group, probably with Batista, Jindrak and Cade backing them up) while HHH is away. But that's delving deeply into fantasy booking which I try very hard to avoid outside the Satire.

Wisconsin Badgers: 6-2 (What a sever letdown. The fact that despite getting outclassed the whole game, we stayed in it gives me a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season.)

Goldberg gets the DQ win via outside interference. It's the only way to get Goldberg the win and keep both of them faces.

Thanks to the Bounty storyline, they have a plausible explanation for this. Or they could just let Evoltion do the run in.

Well, if you look at the new HBK shirt, Shawn thinks he's Jesus. So apparently he's blaming Bill for the crucifixion.

Im not a christian, im a catholic...but i do know that people tat practice this religion uses the symbol of the fish as the representation of jesus, as a fisher of men..

Now, i dont know why the people who convert to this religion try to call the attention with this symbol, they used in cars and homes...anyway, they probably have their reasons...but im very dissapointed to HBK to enter the game of the wwe marketing and wear that stupid shirt with her name into it....

Anyway, im completly sure that HBK its gonna lose his match against Goldberg and its gonna be betrayed by Ric Flair and Randy Orton... Is necessary have all this drama/? The faith must be an inner thing to all human beings

After all...i got symphaty for the devil (B. G.) in this match!

cheers

Ok, first of all, I have to respond to anyone who says that Catholics are not Christians. It may not matter in a country where everyone is Catholic, but underneath all of the explicative deleted, Christians are all Christians.

By the way, HBK is not a "her," and Goldberg is not an "it." At least I hope not.

I found the fish shirt thing rather blasphemous too.

The problem with religion is people want to sugar-coat it. "Shawn shouldn't incorporate religion into wrestling, it has nothing to do with it, it has no place on a show like that" and so on. First of all, there more's blood on the hands of any and every religious history than in any episode of RAW. Secondly, a person's faith is a part of them, and they should be allowed to appear on television in a way that acknowledges it. The HBK letters are enclosed in the "jesus fish", to me that symbolically is saying that HBK has been "captured" by Jesus, or saved. I don't see how that can possibly be considered blasphemous. Some people are too easily offended. If your skin is that thin, it amazes me you're still watching WWE.

At this point I think an explanation of the fish symbol is necessary.

Back in the early days of Christianity not long after the death of Jesus, the Romans had outlawed practicing Christianity, under threat of death. The fish symbol is made up of two arcs. In those days one person would draw one arc on the ground with their foot. If the other person was a Christian the would complete the fish by drawing the other arc. Then they would go off to the catacombs to pray. It was purely a method for Christians to contact each other.

Dude, if you're Catholic then you are Christian. Catholism is a sub-set of Christianity.

On topic, I don't believe that HBK is trying to be blasphemous, but it may be a compromise between him and marketing for him to get at least some Christian content onto his merchandise.

Surely from a Christian point of view kiddies wearing a HBK fish shirt is better than them wearing Deadman Inc ?

After the reformation, there became other Christian denominations. Where did they all come from? You can trace it all back to one; The Catholic Church. Which by default, makes the Catholic Church very Christian, since it was the first Christian denomination. Your single statement is ludacris, flawed, and very, VERY incorrect. Maybe it comes from lack of knowledge of your own faith. If wish to know more about your own faith, I'll be quite happy to show you some reference material about the Church (here's a hint, start reading some of the work of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II).

I am a Roman Catholic (and a practicing one at that). Which makes me a Christian. I have no problem with the HBK Jesus fish.

Ok, ok here come my answer to all this faith deal...

Im a catholic guy because i believe in a faith that gives me the chance to feel free to go to church, wherever i want to, because what jesus taught was love and respect...

I disagree with some christian congregations, but i dont have any problem with christian people...

Jesus its a verve...not a sustantive, not a name, not a trademark...!

damn! thats what was about my post

I dont know yours.... but i dont want to see hbk make money with a symbolism of Jesus...

And thats my point... im not the most religious man, i dont even like to discuss about religion...

cheers

Don't feel so free, my friend. You actually DO have to go to Church every Sunday (unless circumstances dictate that you can't....like travel problems, sickness, etc). My offer still stands if you wish to obtain proper information about the Roman Catholic faith. Oh, and if you don't like talking about religion....then don't bring it up in a post.

HBK is making money off of these shirts? Does that make it any different than OTHER people who sell Christian shirts make money? The intent HBK has for using the shirt is probably as a tool for evangilism. And also, for all we know, for the money he makes from sales of that shirt (assuming such a shirt would be put for sale by the WWE), maybe he tithes (gives away) the money to his home church or the food bank or something else.

I still sees no problem with this.
