"His name draws universal awe and admiration. He is the 16-time Heavyweight Champion of the world. He has held the World Championship more times than any competitor in the history of sports-entertainment. Fans around the world pay tribute by shouting his trademark “Woooooo!” He’s influenced more Superstars than anyone else. There are legends and all-time greats, but there is only one Ric Flair.

Wrestling match footage from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today. This includes some of Ric's most famous matches with: Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ricky Steamboat, Terry Funk, and Sting.

Ric Flair vs. ... (shown in their entirety)

1. Harley Race Starrcade (11/24/83)

2. Dusty Rhodes Starrcade (11/28/85)

3. Barry Windham World Wide Wrestling (01/20/87)

4. Ricky Steamboat Clash of the Champions VI (04/02/89)

5. Ricky Steamboat WrestleWar (05/07/89)

6. Terry Funk I Quit Match Clash of the Champions IX (11/15/89)

7. Royal Rumble (01/19/92)

8. Sting Undisputed World Title Unification Clash of the Champions XXVII (06/23/94)

The DVD will also feature:

*Debut match with the WWWF vs. Pete Sanchez 3/1/76

*A day in the life of the Four Horsemen

*Flair'd match with Triple H from 5.19.03 Raw with a post-show tribute that has never-been-seen before on TV

Plus all the promos & controversies surrounding his greatest matches against Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Terry Funk, Sting as well as his 1992 Royal Rumble victory.

BONUS: 6 hidden Easter eggs

Running Time: 10+ hours
-------------------------------------
Bah! I've seen most of those matches already, but at least I'll have them on DVD. The DVD will be worth it for the promos alone.

Between this and the Steel Cage DVD, WWE have done a great job.

Holy cow that's going to be awesome. Cool that they include his "real" debut with the wwwf as well, I read about that in Raw magazine.

That's it... and that's ALL.

Even with the Clash VI and Rumble 92 matches, there's only about four and a half hours of matches, right? Let's be generous and say the extras and Easter eggs take up 3 hours. That leaves about 3 hours of more matches (pretty please?). One match I've never seen but always wanted to see is Flair-Vader from Starrcade 93.

The Flair/Windham match is an hour as well, as that was the night they went the whole show with one match.
Hopefully they show the build-up to Starrcade '85, with Flair telling Dusty not to save him on TBS, then Dusty making the save in the Omni, only to be attacked in the cage by the Andersons and Flair.
And, this is being a bit picky, I wouldn't mind seeing some earlier Flair/Steamboat US Title matches from the late 70's or the Meadowlands World Title match in '84.

When's it due to hit stores? I've always wanted to see that Flair/Vader match, too.

That may be shown in clip form, as there's a sit down career retrospective. Same with the Starrcade build-up, perhaps with Flair discussing it. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

Oh, and the Flair-Windham match from World Wide is around 45 minutes, not the full hour.[/picky]

That Flair/Vader match is indeed the shit. Keith put it best, it's like watching someone fight the Undertaker on hard in Wrestlemania 2000.

At the risk of sounding ungrateful to WWE for putting together what's sure to be the best DVD they've ever released....two Steamboat matches? Now I know that they're both classic matches, but couldn't they have just picked one of them and used the other hour for 1-2 shorter bouts (i.e. Flair/Savage from WrestleMania VIII, Flair/Vader, etc.)

If some little snotty anarchist with an Apple Mac and an attitude thinks he invented dance music and the big rock group is coming into his territory, [that's] ridiculous." - Bono, 1997

I'm DEFINITELY (not 'definatley,' people!) not complaining about the lineup of matches on this DVD set, but why not include Flair-Sting from Clash 1? No WarGames? D'oh!

And I REEEAAAAAALLLLLLYYY hope they include the 'Real World's Champion' angle when Flair entered the Fed back in 1991, because up to that point, I had never seen an angle bend 'fabe to that degree. To see Flair holding up both the NWA World Title Belt and the WWF Title belt at the Funeral Parlor on Superstars? Absolutely priceless. Unreal. And as a 12 year-old fan at that point, that angle had me at the point of butt-clenching excitement!!!

Okay, well... You get what I mean.

November 18th? I'm kissin' some Dead Presidents buh-bye for sure!

EDIT: Spelling. I AM a dumbass.

I think there will be more matches, and I'm guessing that some of those 6 easter eggs may be matches. The Flair-Whindam match is freaking awesome, and a great selection. I think it's good that both Flair-Steamboat matches are on there, as there is a lot of debate as to which is better. Plus, it gets across the idea of a classic series. I still think they will be adding some WWF matches, like Flair vs. Savage from Mania, Flair vs. Hennig (Loser leaves town), and Flair dropping the title to bret. There is more room on this DVD for great matches, I don't think this is everything.

The Dudleys/Heyman lockerroom stuff was interresting. The main event was pretty good. Nothing was particularly bad this week (note that I fastforwarded through the Bradshaw segment). Of note: Rob wore a singlet with a skull.
