This whole thing has me really confused. During the match, in which Steiner turned heel, he himself prevented him and Test from winning the tag belts by repeatedly pulling Test out of the ring, but when Stacy does the same thing, all of a sudden he cares about not winning the belts when 5 minutes ago he didn't!?!?! What the hell gives here? And since Steiner is a heel, does that make Test a face by default? So many logistical flaws with this whole thing, and with Test out now for 2 months, what the hell are they going to do with Steiner. Its bad enough that these guys have been stinking up each others programs, now Steiner will be stinking up someone elses. This reminds me of WCW booking circa: 2000
WCW 2000? That's harsh. I would want Test to stick around, even if he can't walk, because otherwise the angle will die of attrition, a slow, painful death, that will suck out any charisma Test currently possesses.
Scared to post I've been ragged on so bad. Still convinced shinstrife is a famous wrestler incognito.
I think this is part of the problem: people interpret the storylines too literally and refuse to think beyond what they are told. Making logical connections is part of following a story. Steiner wasn't pissed off because he lost the match, he was pissed off because STACY cost him the match. Steiner's always treated Stacy as an underling rather than as an equal (like, say, HHH and Chyna or the Hardyz and Lita), so it follows logically that when she started taking matters into her own hands it wouldn't sit well with him.
Steiner is now a heel, and with Test saving him (from the Dudleys?) last week I think it's fair to imply that they're a team due to a common attitude towards Stacy. This isn't all that different to the way they would turn guys face or heel via common opponents ie. in 1987 when they made a team out of rivals Savage, Steamboat, and Roberts through the common enemy in Honky Tonk Man.
I agree, WWE does some pretty mindless stuff at times, but when they can't count on their fans to make simple inferences in simple storylines maybe it's not entirely their fault that the shows are so dumbed-down.
Eh. I just started to like the Test/Steiner angle now that Steiner turned heel. Sure, the turn made no sense, but at least it freshened things up a bit and gave the ultra-lame RAW tag team division another team to play around with.
If ANYTHING is WCW 2000, it was the Kane angle last week. I mean, wasting a ton of money to destroy a limosine in a lame angle that in a month from now no one will remember. Doesn't that sound just slightly familiar?
Test is the worst actor on the roster. And that is saying alot! If you doubt the suckitude of Test's ability to tell a story, please review his crap when Torie's PBoy came out and he was "hiding" the mag and "secretly" talking to her on the phone and shit. THIS is the guy who was given immunity?
Any angle with Test in it is going to be a drag. let's be gone he is out for a while and hope it just dissolves and they do something else (as inconspicuous as possible) with Steiner.
All Stacy really need to do is show her legs and ass every once in a while. She doesn't need these two goofballs, specifically, to do that.
