Well, it was fun while it lasted (not that I ever got to see much of it, being stuck on the other side of the Atlantic and all).

This means the chances of AJ Styles retaining aganist Jarrett are about 1 in a billion.

As our esteemed cfgb pointed out in his recap, the more likely scenario would appear to be Styles->Dusty, Dusty->Heel Jarrett, Heel Jarrett->Hogan. Whoo, and indeed, hoo.

hulk hogan-does this man ever stop giving? ... seriously though... he created professional wrestling in 1988 when he slammed the andre giant and won the hearts of little kids everwhere, he killed ultimate warrior, and now he is giving us last hurrah with the INTERNET NERD DREAM MATCH OF ALL TIME: The Immortal Hulk Hogan v. J-E-doubleF... well two outta three ain't bad Hulkster... I am sure however that the WWE will come back with their own surprise... next week on Raw, Savio Vega v. Ric Flair!!!
Would anybody even BUY Styles going over Hogan? Hogan's more than twice his size! VINCE FREAKIN RUSSO dwarfs Styles! Imagine the comparison when the champ stands next to Hogan. I'd love for Hogan to give Styles the ultimate rub, but I'm seriously doubting the casual fan would buy it at all.
I have a VERY bad feeling that Russo's gonna try and re-enact the Bash at the Beach screwjob, which will fly over just about EVERYBODY'S heads.
And I'll bet Hogan doesn't get half the pop that Sting got a few months ago.
LS: Alright, we hardly gotten any airtime and we still aren't over. Anymore ideas? GD: Can you stare at your hand and spin on your head? Or better yet, we can have you shilling HUNGRY MAN DINNERS! LS: That...is very disturbing.
i dont see how hogan could help tna out at all... he will do more damage than anything... a tv deal? no one watches tna anyway, its crap wrapped in pretty good wrestling... not even harley race could save them now
The thing is that TNA has totally failed when it comes to getting a TV show, and they need to be able to point to something and say LOOK to a TV executive. The 2 guys out there that have that kind of name recognition are Rock and Hogan, and they ain't getting Rock. If Hogan ends up in even a babyface association with other young stars, it will be well worth it. I see the double turn of Styles and Jarrett happening at their match, and then Hogan aligning himself with Styles, leading to co-main events of Hogan-Jarrett and Daniels-Styles. Just the rub of Hogan with some of these guys could really help. Either way, if this is the path they take, Styles-Daniels should be the real focus. My hope is that some cable executive decides to take a shot with them, we need competition. I don't think Vince is very happy about this development.
Great news for TNA. Hogan is a draw. He just is. He's one of about three wrestlers alive today that most people who don't watch wrestling know who is. People will tune in to see him who normally wouldn't bother with TNA. And like Michromeeeee said, this is someone they can point to in order to get a real TV deal.
What TNA needs to do here is what the WWF did when they got Mike Tyson. Make the rest of the show as compelling as possible. People who tuned in to see Tyson stayed tuned to watch Steve Austin, and The Undertaker and Kane, and Mick Foley, and DX, etc. etc. etc. TNA needs to make this Hogan show packed with the very best wrestling they have to offer.
Which brings us to another potential matchup: Hogan vs Russo. Hell, I'd watch that with more interest than any of these WWE matchups involving non-wrestlers. At least there's an element of legit tension there.
Goldberg tells all in a tell-all interview where he tells all!!! Tons of news about Triple HHH!!! All this plus the ONLY wrestling cartoon anywhere in the latest Inside The Ropes!!!

Hogan is old & slow. Styles is young & fast. Take out Hogan's knees & keep him on the mat. Work for a submission. What's so difficult about that? I don't watch TNA, but I'm pretty sure Styles isn't a submissions wrestler, but to say "Hogan is big, so Styles can't win" doesn't jive. Or just have Styles using his speed to stay out of Hogan's reach. Stick & move, and go in for the kill when Hogan gets fatigued.
Big does not always beat small. Unless you're employed by Vince McMahon.
I seem to remember Rey as the "giant killer" in WCW, which the fans had not problems buying.
Why is Raw still live? There's no Nitro to turn to if the wrestling fan has read spoilers. We have seen a production quality difference between the live Raw and taped Smackdown that can be owed to post-production for the most part. Is it a money issue?...
