Here's a few bits of info as to what will be on the DVD, from 1wrestling:
(MSG) Debut match vs. Pete Sanchez 3/1/76 A day in the life of the Four Horsemen His match with Triple H from 5/19/03 Raw with a post-show tribute that has never-been-seen before on TV Plus all the promos & controversies surrounding his greatest matches against Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Terry Funk, Sting, as well as his 1992 Royal Rumble victory. BONUS: 6 hidden Easter eggs
That looks very sweet. If there's going to be one match from each of those opponents, here's the ones I would pick.
Ric Flair vs Dusty Rhodes - 09/17/81 in Kansas City, Ric Flair's first World Heavyweight Title win.
Ric Flair vs Harley Race - 11/24/83 Starrcade - Flair wins second World Title in a Steel Cage with Gene Kiniski as referee.
Ric Flair vs Barry Windham - Crocket Cup 87
Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat - WrestleWar '89 - Flair takes back the World Title from Steamboat and gets jumped by Terry Funk in an infamous angle
Ric Flair vs Terry Funk - Clash IX - I Quit Match
Ric Flair vs Sting - Clash I - Flair makes Sting's career
If there's room, I think there should be either the Flair/Perfect or a Flair/Savage match from WWF. Then Flair/Vader from Starrcade '93. One of the Easter Eggs HAS to be Flair's return in Greensboro.
Really, if they just have any match against those wrestlers they mentioned, it DVD can't miss.
They're spanning 3 disks here, so I see no reason why every one of his World Title wins should not be included in their entirety. That alone would be worth the price of the DVD.
I had always thought that WWE only owned WCW footage from when it was named "WCW" by Ted Turner, and not the previous stuff (being the NWA). Am I incorrect?
Do you know the release date of this DVD...i also read that it will be a 3 disc sets...is that corracte? i dont know the concepto of the documentary..will be something like From The Vault's Shawn Michales? I liked that format...the only thing its the Main Menu Interface...its Horrible!
Cant wait for this dvd!
There's no man in Earth strong enough to hold a Wagner Drive!!
This could be a six-disc set, and there STILL wouldn't be enough room to hold all of Flair's greatest matches.
"When this bogus term alternative rock was being thrown at every '70s retro rehash folk group, we were challenging people to new sonic ideas. If some little snotty anarchist with an Apple Mac and an attitude thinks he invented dance music and the big rock group is coming into his territory, [that's] ridiculous." - Bono, 1997

I think they have everything from when Turner first bought out Crockett, which slightly predates the WCW name (as the organization's name, though the TV shows were still World Championship Wrestling at the time). Only evidence of that I have is they've shown footage of Flair-Garvin, which (if memory serves me correct) happened right after Turner bought the promotion. It wasn't officially "WCW" until the Sting-Black Scorpion cage match several years later.
Goldberg tells all in a tell-all interview where he tells all!!! Tons of news about Triple HHH!!! All this plus the ONLY wrestling cartoon anywhere in the latest Inside The Ropes!!!

For the Windham match, I'd prefer an unedited (if there is one) version of the early '87 match on Worldwide where they went the whole 60 minute show. And I want the Magnum TA stuff from '85 included.
I wouldn't know if mentioning that Rayo de Jalisco and Canek are among the stars would be a good thing, but boy, this is a very welcome addition to my Saturday afternoons. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2004/08/28/606874.html
