After finally getting to see him on TV this year, I think that he has to be the frontrunner. His performance against Texas A&M was ridiculous, and he had the announcers raving. I think he has to be the definite frontrunner at this point--no one has been more consistently spectacular. What do you guys think?
The loss to Toledo will kill him unless Pitt runs the table and he has huge games against Va. Tech and Miami. Even a big game against Notre Dame, which usually vaults guys, won't do much this year.
Time to do a Red Sox pennant chase supply list: Arsenic: check. Cyanide: check. Booze: check. Fully loaded gun for full chamber Russian Roulette: check. Ok, I'm prepared, let the pennant race commence.
I don't think 12 catches for 200+ yards and a TD can hurt, even if it comes in a loss to the Bad News Bears. It was the D that lost that game for them, not Fitzgerald.
I think Fitzgerald should get some consideration but if you talk about single game performances lets not forget Rashaun Woods of Oklahoma State. His eight touchdown performance against SMU was pretty amazing and broke an NCCA record. His totals this year are 30 catches for 502 yards.I think both will garner some votes if they keep their big seasons up.Fitzgerald will probably be big in the NFL.
