Fabulous Moolah fell on her face. I giggled against my better judgement. And that, ladies and gentlemen was RAW in a nutshell.

For whatever reason, I'm looking forward to Unforgiven quite a bit though: high hopes for Michaels to try and make Orton into something less vanilla, hoping HHH/Goldberg can put on a good WWF circa 98-99 main event that covers both of their flaws, and maybe just maybe we will see Shane McMahon outdo Sting by skipping the stunt man and falling from the top of the the tron while covered in flames.

Caped Boy: Excuse me, ladies. You may remember me as the guy who came to dinner a few weeks ago with underwear on my head. My name is Keith Stat from Milbourne, New Jersey. State bird, the mosquito. And as you may have heard I am recently a crowned class B dungeon-master. So if any of you would like to play D&D today, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
[He chuckles, and there is an awkward silence at the table.]
Caped Boy: Anyone? Alexa!
[Alexa gives him a withering glare.]
Caped Boy: Maybe you would like to join in? We do need a druid, and you have definitely cast a level 5 charm spell on me.
Alexa: In your dreams, douche-bag!
Caped Boy: Douche-bags are hygienic products, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.
[Keith walks off]
Alexa: Ewww!

1. not really, it was pretty obvious that would happen. the question is whether jericho will upend his 'friend' christian or vice versa.

2. um, no, Lita is Akira Hokuto compared to Gail. My only concern so far is while power moves will probably be easier for her, we don't need more amazons.

You know, I thought when HHH started tapping the remote, he thought he was bombing. He has intensity in the ring, but definitely lacks in charisma. All those reactions you got in DX Trips? Call Vince Russo on that one.

All in all, switched back and forth between Raw and the game. The game, it should be noted, was much better, but at least on wrestling you knew that screwjobs were intentional.

Dancin' Lanny Storm was the most rediculous thing I've ever seen, but God bless him, because the fans, myself included, gave him a reaction for it.

Kane was involved in a contract signing. I laughed when Coach pointed out those things always led to chaos.

IC Title Triple Threat is a potential show stealer at PPV. Okay, so it is the PPV, unless Orton's a good worker under there (I haven't seen a singles match with him in it that went past 10 minutes yet.)

Seeds were also sewn for Victoria to join the new post Older Guys Evolution. Maven vs. Orton at Mania.

Kane gets flustered that he didn't get to do something silly this week. Ho hum.

Easy pickings here. Jobbing Goldust to a shiity scoop slam tops the list. J.R. was so bad I hope he was doing it intentionally because he is going away. HHH was funny in DX. Add humor to the list of things that steriods shrink.

Rob "The Whole Curtain Jerking Show" (I wish I had the time to add up how many opening matches he has done) Van Dam continues to annoy me. Why does a normal 5 star make him roll in agony for ages before the pin but if you raise your knees up to counter it he briefly fondles his own breasts then pops right up?

Consider this a retorical question. Much like his ass sweat problem I don't think I really want an answer.

I always tape RAW and catch up on my sleep, but tonight I decided to see how much I could take before I'd decide to pack it in out of sheer agony.

9:01 I missed the opening HHH/Bischoff whatever, watching tapes from 1995, Michaels vs. Bulldog

9:10 Great. Two active wrestlers scared of a retired wrestler attacking them.

9:17 Well, the minute or so of this match so far hasn't sucked, although it is like the CMLL edited matches, cut out the buildup, fast-forward to the spots

9:18 That slingshot legdrop was something nice, a believable variant of my most hated moves, the one where the guy gets tied in the ropes, and holds on for Psicosis to legdrop him

9:29 The continued Dudleys/French feud, or pull out my tape and see Bob Backlund lambaste a plebeian, in this case, the much beloved Buck Quartermaine. I choose to see the Cross Face Chicken Wing procured.

9:32 That's no way to treat your Tough Enough students, Al

9:37 Victoria putting over Moolah? Please no. OK. That outfit for Victoria almost makes up for it.

9:40 If you didn't know what would happen when Orton came out, you have no business watching wrestling.

9:43 On the other hand, next on my tape is a Mantaur match

9:49 Remember, boys and girls, chain wrestling is boring.

9:51 Three more years until that 10 year deal for Mark Henry is up. Repeat ad nauseum.

9:54 Hey, Mantaur didn't bump too badly in his match with Razor.

9:56 Shane Mcmahon vs. Kane on a House show in Guelph, ON? That's close enough for me not to give two shits about making the effort to attend.

9:58 King Kong Bundy vs. A ham'n'egger or a contract signing?

9:59 Oh poo. Only a minute of the Bundy squash, but when that ends on the tape, Oscar rapping MOM to the ring starts Todd Pettengill. Colour commentator. It takes about 5 seconds of Todd rapping along to make me pine for Ernest Miller.

10:01 Billy Gunn. The Mullet Years.

10:11 That wasn't too bad of a match. Unfortunately, MOM turns heel after the match, which would lead to the classic Mabel push. The dark cloud that surrounds a silver lining of non-suckiness.

10:13 Well at least thanks to Jericho/RVD, the women's match won't be the best on the card.

10:16 Too much wrestling to try and "end a career". Not that I'll complain.

10:27 Is there anything left in the old RSP-W "Shoot Vader Shoot" fund to donate into a "Shoot Al Shoot" fund?

10:30 Test doing the Stacy ring entrance was a minor markout

10:32 Blue Thunder BOMB~!

10:33: Test channels Horowitz~!

10:38: Lawler wrestling? That's it. Night night.

3 matches that were decent enough. I can't complain that much.

Oof, brutal Raw.

--Jericho/RVD was pretty sloppy
--Victoria jobbing to an 80-year old tells you a lot about what they think of the women's division
--Lance Storm finally gets a reaction from the crowd last week, so obviously the next logical step would be to job him (and Goldust) to Henry/Mack in under 2 minutes. Brilliant!
--Shane McMahon now looks stronger than Kane & Brock combined - yipee!
--no Flair appearance in the ring - I guess they were afraid he'd out-pop the entire roster. Which brings me to...
--Man, HHH just *DIED* out there. He got no heat whatsoever. Maybe they should have had Flair go out there, so HHH wouldn't have to endure silence for 10 minutes. "Hello? Hello? Hello?" That's comedy gold. Let's all point & laugh at HHH.

Bad show, leading to a bad PPV. Seriously, they're going to struggle to get ***** combined out of all the matches.

I thought it was a decent Raw. Jericho/Christian were entertaining. As much as you all hate it, Moolah wrestling when she is 80 is incredible, and taking the RKO at that age is unbelievable. Mark Henry is starting to look good, though he and Jerry Rice have the same problem on top of their heads, and to both of them, it doesn't matter how long you grow the dreadlocks, we all know whats happening up top. That moment in the hallway with Maven and Orton was interesting, and could be some foreshadowing. THe womens match was pretty good, and though it was great to see Lita back, I would have popped bigger if it were Jazz who made the save. All in all a decent show.

-Jericho/Christian/Austin protest- They took what had the big rating last week and put it on first (smart move). Jericho and Christian, who I guess put all their differences behind them from last week and stood side by side in protest of Austin. Austin comes out, really sad he can't kick peoples asses at will anymore. Calls Christian creepy (he does have creepy beady eyes). Jericho wants a match for Summerforgiven. Gets a match tonight with RVD.

-Jericho vs. RVD- Christian runs to RVD and gets met with a spin kick, Jericho gets thrown out of the ring and RVD dives over the ropes and connect. Cut to break. We come back, match is kinda slow. RVD just doesn't seem the same these past few month, don't know if he just doesn't care but he doesn't have the same feel to him like he did even just a few months ago. Sloppy monkey flip from the corner. We get treated with a REF BUMP, Jericho goes for the lionsault but gets met with knees, RVD goes for the 5Star and gets met with knees as well. We have a ref bump lets use our BELT SHOT quota for the evening with Christian nailing both with it to get both DQ'ed. Austin comes out and makes it a 3 way for the PPV.

-Conway vs. Spike- Spike with a neckbrace gets hit with a neckbreaker (the move not the variation La Rez used last week). Well that was quick and pointless, lets hope the next segment gets better

-Moolah vs. Victoria- One word "Why", Yeah, yeah. Moolah's birthday-hometown whatever. You don’t have possible most overall talented woman force to lay down in such a weak and stupid fashion... Hit her with the Widow's Peak Victoria Please! But no out comes Orton and he has the honor of finishing off Moolah, I did like "Hello Randy Orton, legend killer". But it left Victoria out doing jack squat. I hate this show.

-Henry/Mack vs. DustStorm- Storm comes out with upbeat hip-hop and dancing like a madman (well as mad as a guy named Lance can). Storm want's to get over she should have started humping Garcia's leg, that's personality... DustStorm loses in their first outing as a tag team in under 2 minutes via fat piece of crap slam! Did I hear a boring chant? I really hope it's just me. Man does this reek of last chance to get over Storm before getting his release, Again I hope I'm wrong. This is going down as one of the worst shows of the year.

-Kane/Shane contract signing- Well the wrestling hasn't worked tonight lets try talking. They hype out the seriousness of this fight. Err we have a guy who fell in a trash can full of fiery flames, sorry way to cartoonish for me to buy any legit last man standing fight seriously... Nuts shots a plenty, gets a chair from Garcia and hits Kane (arms up) with it. There's a table there (I'll give them props to explaining it later) and Shane came flying off the top turnbuckle into Kane laying on the table. Later on the show replays showed one of Garcia selling the spot a plenty by turning her head as she didn't want to see the results LoL

-Molly/Gail v. Trish-For the 25th week in a row Trish comes out to get her ass kicked. After getting destroyed for the 24th time I think the 25th time just doesn't mean anything. Trish has officially changed from fighting underdog to becoming the fighting loser. Trish got some offense in early, double dropkick. They throw her over the top again in a cross-body position but Trish lands on the apron & slingshot them. Also a nice forward headscissors by Trish. But heels got all the other advantage, nasty legdrop from the 2nd rope by Gail, Molly backflips while Gail stretch Trish at corner & took a painful lift & drop on Gail's knee in the corner... Heel's win, they go out to get some chairs. Come on Garcia! defend your friend do something more then just looking angry LoL. Trish gets Beat Down again, I guess it's okay no 1 woman can beat 2 of this caliber. Except for Lita! Uhhhh clean house uhhhhh. Oh Joy

-Val vs. Test- This was probably the only match that went over expectation, not a fan of either of these guys. Val really worked tonight (I could like Val, the gimmick makes me not want to see him on TV)... Not as big a fan of Stacy as majority of people, but she looked beautiful last night. When Test and Steiner went for their last heated exchange before the PPV it looked like it was going in slow motion

-Lawler vs. Snow- Bad Bad Bad. There is like no redeeming quality in. AGAIN last "wrestling" segment before the "main event". Go figure... (MNF half time starts here 10:40)

-HHH party-HHH tried hard to sell the Goldberg chant, fans didn't bit (they are smart HHH is a heel don't do what heels want, that's there story and they are sticking to it). Balloons come down HHH kicks them away but people keep throwing them back in, this goes on for a bit. Can balloons hurt? Wet Beer on the mat is okay! but better not have a balloon in sight. HHH mic goes off & talks into Hello Hello & director cuts to the crowd, yeah NICE COVER director boy, no one will notice something is wrong with the mic now. HHH has a semi-shoot line saying "I didn’t' know Goldberg makes mic, these can't work either." Would have been funnier couple of years ago when HHH was much superior worker. HHH had another nice line in saying "Goldberg’s kids could bring this portrait to show & tell at school". "In there Flair, Orton, and HHH, millions worth of talent, and oh there's Goldberg too". Good lines by HHH but it dragged on too long

-OtherStuff- Why is Bischoff dressed as a trucker... One of the few good moments of the show is HBK & Orton selling the huge noise that came in the background during the conversation, nice b*tch slap by HBK, he enjoys doing that... Did Jesse of TE almost laugh legit after her segment...

Some talk here that Lita chest looks smaller, well if Lita lost something I think Terri found it Wow... Gail & Molly sell Lita's attack, wow actually letting your top babyface kick ass. What a concept!... The only full segment the went with MNF half-time was the PPV rundown segment... Goodness how good did Garcia look last night.

-Line of the Night: HHH "I didn't know Goldberg makes microphones, they don't work well either"
-3Stars of the NIght: 1)Keibler. 2)Garcia. 3)Stratus - The only saving grace tonight on this show is that the women looked incredibly hot this night.

What a bad show this week, weak in the ring, weak booking. Gawd I try never to be all negative but it's very difficult the last two weeks to find good stuff on Raw... *sigh* let me try, HHH had funny lines, HBK slap and selling backstage noise. Val/Test over-achieved (that's a compliment), Lita was really made to look like a star, was it nesessary to make Trish look like a schmuck for 3 months?. Would have made better sense if it was Jazz. One more positive I have to mention all the women looked much hotter then usual last night.

Edit: Last paragraph I spelled all 3 "week", but 2 of them should be weak. Spellcheck is no help in that situation LoL

A few thoughts:

For the build-up to a PPV, this show resembled a boring edition of Thunder.
At least they learned their lesson and put the never-ending Test-Steiner and When Announcers Collide crap in the same quarter hour. I pray for a Double DQ and Schiavone and Crockett being the announce team next week.
Love the build-up for the 3 way IC match: Two guys scared of a non-wrestler and one guy who was the bitch of a guy struggling with Vince McMahon's son.
Well, at least their is some continuity in the thought process of the writers. Last fall, they had Goldust and Booker jobbing to two talentless stiffs. This fall (close enough for government work), they have Goldust and Storm job to two talentless stiffs.
The mic going out on Trip had Sid Era WCW written all over it.

Haven't said much 'round these parts lately, but that HHH "main event interview" last night brings me out of hiding.

For the love of God, you have perhaps the greatest interview in wrestling history side-by-side with you as a member of your group. You have chosen to model yourself as a modern-day version of said champion. Your "group" is modeled after said champion's salad days, when he was on top of the world looking down at all others, with his Horsemen by his side.

So, please, Hunter. If you're going for the Ric Flair vibe, sit down and take a few crib notes from 1987 NWA World Wide tapes on how to do an f'ing promo. For crying out loud, watch the tape of the Raw when Flair promo'd before getting the title shot at you. He can still do it better than anyone.

Now, obviously, the equipment failing in the middle of the promo, coupled with the stupid balloons-n-confetti nonsense did not help things. Any distractions will throw someone off their "game", so to speak. Perhaps it's time to get some input from Flair regarding how to cut an intense promo before a huge match instead of reading the Comic Book Guy's poorly scripted nightmares. Just a suggestion, Hunter.

Okay, rant over.

I am now officially in major lust for Victoria. Wow.

Ewwww..... Didn't catch that, thank God...

I still think Molly and Gail make a good team though, and Lita looked great. I have to admit, that HHH's mike work was way brutal last night. I saw the segment on tape this morning. He had some funny lines, but he was really droning on and on, and even I wanted him to shut up. If you wanted a party, H-man, you should do it right.

The balloons were good, but we needed better music, and male and female dancers with "You're RETIRED" painted on them, then Randy and Flair would be jamming, then Goldberg could come and spear everybody, dancers and all, but miss HHH. THAT's how you do a party, ladies and gentlemen!

Why did HHH sound like Colin Quinn last night? I expected him to start misreading cue cards and then launch into a humorless anecdote about his childhood in New York.

I thought the show was okay. Seems like they're committed to putting on a better show than Bad Blood. Which is a good thing. The women are continuing to impress, I really enjoyed the handicap match.

And someone needs to explain the Kane/Shane storyline to me. They've spent months building Kane up as a monster, so he's clearly gonna go over Shane, right? Right??

RVD and Jericho continue to be misused, but at least they get a match. One day, Christian will be in that category as well.

And Lita is still hot. That is all.

The one thing that confused me a little was the announce table situation. I don't get why they didn't do the Coach/Al Snow thing earlier, so we could have a logical explanation for the table being there, and not be kind of confused when Shane just unveils it out of nowhere. As it stands, it looked dumb for Shane to seemingly set an announce table up himself for the spot, and then have Coach and Al try to be all badass by taking over commentary when they don't even have a table to sit at. Derf. Just reverse the order and the segments would've made sense.

Lita looks insanely skinny last night, but my god, keep her wearing those shorts.

Can anybody point me to a clip of the Spike table head death spot from last week? I keep missing it on Raw when I'm flipping around....

Can anyone explain to me why is the Test Steiner stuff STILL going on? It is by far the worst feud of the year(other than Stacy). And the writers have written it to go on forever. They could have, if I beat her, I get her, matches one after the other. Is there no closure?
